Giving my honest review of this place after living here for a year and leaving due to the fact that…read morethere already pretty high rent (high because of the quality you get) is getting higher.. in the midst of winter. They're putting a luxury apartment rent price on a place that is very outdated and low quality. As you can see from the photos I attached. For about $1,600-$1,900 rent I don't expect there to be cracks in my walls, holes in the corners of every room, holes in the sink, problems with plumbing constantly, problems with heating (actually a huge problem - more on that later), loud environment (train, mowing almost every other day at 6 In the morning for couple of hours, always repairing apartments very loudly .. & the thin walls on top and on the sides, you can hear EVERYTHING..). More on the heating, I should've noticed it was a red flag when I signed the lease and they talked about "if your heat (heat is part of electric) bill goes higher than $300 in winter - we pay the rest!" Huh. Yay ! Right? Didn't matter to me because I'm rarely home and my bill never really passes $60. Wow when I tell you no matter how you crank the heat in winter.. it is always freezing. Come to realize the pipes are ANCIENT. No wonder why. So you're cranking the heat high and overworking them and wondering why your electric bill is through the roof. I've never had this happen to me in luxury apartments before. Also, there is no gym here. I'm huge on fitness and was very disappointed when I walked into a literal closet-space hallway with only 3 treadmills.... that is not a gym. I could keep going on but I'll just end this with, this definitely should not be trying to charge luxury apartment prices with such severely low quality just because KFC and Planet Fitness is down the street, that does not mean this is "conveniently located" which is one of the points they tried to give me upon asking why they were raising the rent $200.

The pool, gym, playground even the dog park are always clean. The maintenance team would show up 24-7 when something happened to go wrong. They are conveniently located close to shopping, restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores and night clubs. UMASS Memorial Hospital is 0.8 mi down the street. We have no complaints in 6 years and would recommend Princeton Place to everyone. Manny and Angie Q.

The apartment itself is nice and comfortable and full of light and my neighbors are nice and I love…read morethat there is such diversity and it makes me happy to see all the kids outside playing and all the people walking their dogs, but there are multiple things that do not work for me. This apartment complex is for you if you are fine with: - poisons being sprayed all over the common green space areas where children play and people and dogs walk; - "landscapers" mercilessly mutilating what could be beautiful trees and flowering shrubs into small lumps; - the super loud sound of leaf blowers; - alarms going off for months without maintenance doing anything about it and them acting like you are the problem for asking them to fix the alarm and make the horrendous noise stop; - maintenance not communicating about the work they did, nor seeking clarification with you about the work that needs to be done, nor when they will be in your apartment doing the work, and then maintenance accusing you of being disrespectful for requesting clear communication; - automatic toxic room "fresheners" in the fitness rooms (I had so been looking forward to using them but did not want to breathe the toxins); - crazy loud HVAC units constantly blasting noise making you feel like you are in a non-stop giant engine room in your own home; - ridiculously bright light pollution that is hard to block out at night and visually assaults you when you look out your windows or open your door; there is no reason for such a multitude of super bright, white lights and it is a waste of electricity. When I moved in, there were several things broken in my apartment and things that still needed to be cleaned. Over the first month, maintenance was responsive and did the repairs and cleaning (like the ceiling fan that I could not reach to clean was caked in thick dirt and dust and grease, and the bathroom fan did not work because the painters sprayed the bumpy ceiling paint spray all over it), but they left all the dirt and debris for me to clean up. I never had that experience before where maintenance workers expected me to clean up their mess. It would be useful for them to have a checklist to go through before a tenant moves in to make sure that everything is working and clean. Other than that, the location is good. Visually the aesthetics of the buildings are okay. There is plenty of parking. I like that there are many trees around and I can go for long walks in the neighborhood. I like that they plant flowers at different locations there. The price is expensive but bearable.

We moved here in July and stayed at Bancroft for a month and then moved over to Park Plaza for the…read morerest of the year. I mean, the staff is nice but the place is not cleaned on a daily basis. If it is, they need to hire better housekeeping. I have housekept professionally for colleges, libraries and hotels and would be fired if I cleaned like the staff does here. During the summer it was disgusting going into Bancroft because the steps smelled of urine. I would always have to hold my breath. There were always random emergency alarms at any time of the day. Sadly Park Plaza is not better. Probably worse in my opinion. My dogs have to urinate in the back ally because there is no grassy area around us at all. 90% of the time the lobby and elevators smell of weed and/or garbage. There have been multiple emergency alarms, since we moved here a little over a month ago, going off at 4 in the morning. I have asked for my AC to be fixed 5 different times this month and nothing has been done to fix it. I have to keep my windows open and now my house is full of flies and bugs because there are no screens on my windows. I also have to deal with the sounds of traffic since we are on the corner of an intersection. I am very frustrated with our living situation and wish we would have made different decisions before we stayed here. I will say, I don't know if closing 7-11 was their call or not, but I appreciate it. I was verbally harassed everyday leaving and entering my building and now the crowd doesn't seem to hang around that corner as much and I am left alone.

As well the parking for $200 a month for a garage spit where residents let their dogs go the bathroom was disgusting as well the garage doors rarely ever worked and people would park in there even when they were not residents or paying for spots. I lived on the second floor and to throw my trash away i would have to go up a floor or two (which make no sense to go up to throw the trash down...) As well the cost to do laundry was insane and rarely did the machines actually wash or dry without spending close to $30 a load
