My family is incredibly thankful for all the staff at Park Regency Care Center.If you are looking for yourself or a loved one, this place is the best in the area. My mom was admitted Dec 2025 and stayed a total of 100 days. The staff was AMAZING, from the Admission process, the CNAs, Physical Therapists, Social workers, LVNs, cooks etc. They treated my mom with such love and attention that they became our extended family. They kept in contact with us for any issues, minor or big. The place is SPOTLESS, their hygiene is above and beyond anyone's expectation. The Physical Therapy is top notch, mom went unable to move even when laying down to being able to get up with some assistance and walking with her walker again. Obviously every case is unique, but we were impressed and thankful to see her recoup to that level. The Social Worker was incredibly helpful in processing the care needed after her discharge, including programs covered under Medi-Cal, her professionalism and knowledge was highly appreciated. I am sad people don't take the time to write a review, but we wanted everyone to know how much we appreciated the care mom received. read more

I came to the facility on 3/25/26. This was my first time at a skilled nursing facility, and I found most of the people were really nice. My social worker was really nice and helpful. I made new friends. I was even able to get my band come here to perform for the other patients. Overall,had a good experince. Thank you Park Regency Staff for all you do! read more

My grandma has been here for quite some time and every time I visit, it's always a pleasant experience. Right when you come in, there's always someone who welcomes you with a big smile. I witness staff working together and giving their all when caring for our loved ones, which is why this place is highly recommended for a reason. It also makes me so happy to see that my grandma enjoys the activities that the center provides like bingo and other game nights. A lot to cover on this and I hope this helps those who need it..... We are close to 1 year removed now from all matters as EOL took it's course with my father. Park Regency was his 2nd to last stop. . This was one of several places that we were recommended by St. Judes hospital in Fullerton. Ultimately we selected this location based mostly on proximity to our residence. . My initial advice on such a matter is set your expectations lower than you already do. Like everybody, we all want perfect things... perfect settings, perfect care, perfect rooms... perfect conditions. This is not the case and it won't be... What I learned is that it is simply not realistic. What I would say to expect is: confusion, frustration, uncomfortableness, awkwardness, anxiety, a degree of anger, depression etc. . For the record this facility is decent, it is maintained fairly well and clean for the most part.... not sure where we read this (at the time) but it was credited with a 5' star rating... after multiple stints at this location I would not rate this as a 5' star but I would declare it as average...I am ultimately indifferent ... would rate this as a 2.5 if allowed. . What unbeknownst people need to know early on is that there is only 1 nurse for approximately 15 patients or so. What that means is limited care. Sure there are assistants and things but they are only allowed to do so much. In my father's case, he needed various medicines and more importantly assistance with oxygen and c-pap monitoring. In all fairness, that is a lot of work even for 1 on 1 care let alone 1/15 ratio care. Many of the patients there had similar needs and even higher exposure needs. Be prepared to note a MAJOR difference in care between Hospital Care and Skilled Nursing Care... it is totally different. Far less human interaction and far less technology....far less attention. The rooms at Park Regency are rather small and most have a total of 3 patients in a room with only* a curtain for privacy. Each of these rooms do have separate TV's for each bed which is a plus but it can also be a major drawback. In my father's room one of the neighbors would have his TV volume at full blast and the TV left on 24 hours a day. This alone can be very frustrating not only for the patient but also for the family members. Again, there is very limited space and very limited seating in each room. 1 bathroom for all 3 patients. It was so bad for my father that i requested a move multiple times just for his own sake...it is impossible to sleep under such conditions. So keep that in mind, that is an option. From what I saw, the food was average... acceptable. . The overall care was 'ok'. Again, much different from hospital care. There were some nurses that really wanted to be there and feel connected to my father and the others were not so much that way. I would comment that these are not easy jobs to do... its a lot of pressure, a lot of know-how and a lot of personal touch to make it go right. But like with many things in life, there are good and bad things to most everything. . My #1 recommendation is: Show up and be there for your loved one as much as you can. This is not only good for their spirits but it also demonstrates your dedication to the staff that you care about your loved one and that it signals to them what your expectations are just by your continued presence ... this seemed to improve their efforts at least when I showed up. #2. Know your nurse and call them by their name. Another signal to them that you will be around continuously.... #3. Be continuously vigilant of your loved ones room conditions. If you are not comfortable there with any of it then ask to be moved out for better conditions. #4. Be thankful and appreciative. If they arent taking care of your loved one then who will be.... ? Needless to say this was an enormously trying experience for my family... I am still recovering / grieving over it. I sincerely hope this helps somebody out there that is just about to endure it all for the first time....... . read more

The management is exceptional, and every staff member is compassionate, creating a warm, home-like environment. Knowing Mom is here gives us peace of mind. They need to follow up with patient family when they sent patient to hospital by 911. They called the wrong phone number. And they didn't get a follow up call from family so they should call the other two family phone number to notify of the situation. Unprofessional is how I describe this situation. We only found out eight hours later when a family arrived to the facility to visit the patient. Patient could have died in the hospital and we wouldn't have known. Very sensitive situation that needs to be handled with care and understanding. read more

I come here every day to visit my mother-in-law. Ever since she moved in, this place has become one of my favorite places to go. First, I get to see my mom, and second, the environment is exceptionally clean. Without strong leadership and management, there wouldn't be such a well-maintained space with caring and friendly staff. From the administrator, Justin, to every staff member, everyone is polite and always greets you warmly. Whenever my mom needs anything, someone is there to assist her right away. Today, I saw a relatively new face (Carla C.) and asked, "Are you new here?" She replied, "I've been here for three years, but I only work part-time. I usually work at another facility in Corona, where I live." I then asked, "Which place do you prefer?" She said, "Here. The environment is better, the quality of the patients is higher, and most importantly, the people here are wonderful." Her positive impression speaks volumes about the quality of management here. I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible staff at Park Regency Care Center in La Habra. My mother in law has been a resident there for few weeks .The nurses there are not only highly skilled but also genuinely caring. They take the time to listen to us ensuring that all needs are met with compassion and understanding. The Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are simply amazing! They provide attentive and respectful care, always going above and beyond to make sure my mother in law feels comfortable and valued. Their dedication and hard work do not go unnoticed. Additionally, the rehab staff is great too. Their positive attitude and expertise have made a significant difference in the recovery journey for my mom. This review is for the Park Regency Care Center, not the Retirement Center. My mom was at PR for approximately 5 weeks for rehab. My main concern is that the facility needs more staff to help with addressing daily living needs (toileting, bathing, etc.). The facility is clean but some rooms were considerably colder than others. I left one star off because they really need more CNAs. They are pulled to do so many things that sometimes patients are left waiting for quite a long time. Other issues that came up were able to be worked through with the staff, such as medication, other patients, and the length of time she waited after pressing the call light. Thank you to the following: Mark and Karla, at the nurses station, were instrumental the first few days in addressing our concerns with her transition, medication, and documents upon discharge. Brianna, nurse giving meds during the day, was very patient and thorough when my mom or I had questions. Juan and Roberta, CNAs, provided excellent care in supporting with daily needs while always being compassionate when she was in pain. Efrain, case manager, for helping us resolve problems and getting us in touch with home health after she was discharged. Giecelle, Dina, and staff in the hallways who may not have been assigned to my mom but were pulled in to help support whether it was coordinating, helping to lift, or following up on questions. ALL the PTs and OTs for their therapeutic skills and rehab care. She would not have made this much progress without them. Some suggestions for any family in this situation is to ask questions, get clarification if you don't understand/agree to something, visit often, and be an advocate for your loved one. read more

We're glad we chose Park Regency for my uncle. The staff was friendly and made sure he had enough blankets to stay warm and water by the bed. It's the little things that show their attention to care. The facility was clean, and my uncle seemed to enjoy the food, which was a nice plus. Seeing improvement in his condition gave us confidence that he was getting good care. The staff also did a good job of keeping us informed and answering questions which made the whole process smoother. Overall, we were happy with his care and would recommend it to others. read more

My father was left unattended for three hours face down in the pouring rain on their outdoor patio...(Wellington Wing- Memory care) There was no lock, no camera, no alarm.. to let them know my father was out there!!!! The cleaning lady found him!!! This was after the staff was instructed to check on my father every 2 hours because he was a fall risk. The staff at the Park Regency is guilty of negligence!!!!! I would never trust my loved ones at this place!!!! They present a great package... Be forewarned. This fall pushed him into his senior stages of dementia. No human should be left unattended face down in the pouring rain for 3 hours!!! Muscle breakdown starts after 2 hours of being unattended after a fall, this is very detrimental to anyone. My uncle has been a patient here since the beginning of the year. It was scary at first we didn't know what to expect, but we couldn't be anymore happier than choosing Park Regency. They take the time to even update him on the Dodger games. Prior to coming here, he was unable to feed himself but because of the staff, he has regained the strength to feed himself and participate in physical therapy ! When we have concerns, we are thankful for the nurses always calling us in real time to update us. Special Shoutout to RN Billy for always providing compassion during uncertain moments. Administration office was able to smoothly admit my uncle here, and we knew that could be a stressful experience. They communicated with us the entire way. The facility is clean and well maintained. There were two cnas. Excellency care. One name Madison's and one. Named thelma. Many of the others were not good help, and even mean since I had arm surgery. The two pt were ax and Eric they were good The same cnas that Care for me were delivering the food so if you need something a change , ext. then you won't get any help till they finish, which. My uncle's stay at this facility was pretty short but our family feels that it was the best choice for him. The care and attention from all the nurses was outstanding. First off if I could have I would give park regency a 0. The staff is rude and unprofessional. The staff neglects the patients. I was visiting a family member and several patients in wheel chairs asked me if I would please help them. I informed a staff member that several patients needed help and he just walked away. My family member told me that the staff makes the patients stay in soiled underpants for hours. Park Regency is garbage. Never send your loved ones there. read more

I am very pleased with the care and service provided by Park Regency. The medications are always on time for my mom and the staff is always helping us very quickly. The labs and response to changes are done very efficiently and quickly. They contact me very fast in regard to my mom's care even when I'm not there. They give her showers and warm meals that make her feel at home. From top to bottom all staff are a lot of help especially Justin, Shushu, Evelyn, JC, Roanne and all the CNAs. They even arranged transportation for mom when she had to go outside. They know how to address concerns during the care plan meetings and coordinate with our family so we are aware and satisfied. read more

My elderly uncle is at Park Regency after a fall. My brother and I, essentially his only living relatives, live in Ohio. I'm writing to simply say that Sebastian, who answers the phone sometimes when I call, he is INCREDIBLY helpful. He will actively take on the challenge of getting my beloved uncle to answer the phone, connecting or WALKING to the nurse's station, even navigating a sleeping Uncle with courtesy and grace. Being here has completely transformed my perspective on nursing homes. I visit daily to spend at least 7 hours with my moth-in-law and I have witnessed firsthand the staff's dedication to the residents. Despite mobility challenges, the elderly are always joyful, with activities like mahjong, balloon games, and bingo keeping the atmosphere lively. Park Regency removed my review. But I'll post again. This was our experience. My father died of Covid here! My father was here admitted here in September. He was supposed to be here so he could rehab. He had a stroke here on November 3rd that further weakened him. I made an appt with Adam and the director of nursing the following week. We discussed his care and his progress and we discussed that he showed up at St Jude for care of his stroke with cookie crumbs in the crook of his arm. Cookies I dropped off Park Regency for his birthday on October 28th. During that meeting with Park Regency, I asked - please dress him during the day with the clothes that we brought. We decided to meet again with all departments, PT, OT and psych on December 10 for an assessment. We had agreed that if he didn't progress, that we would take him home. We didn't want him to die there. On Dec 9th, my mother called to talk to my dad in the AFTERNOON. She was told that he was rushed to St. Jude again, in the MORNING. He had a high heart rate. They told her they left a voicemail. A voicemail? Seems to me this is the kind of thing you would continue to try and reach a family member but that's me. They also called me and also left me a voicemail at 830am, but I didn't get the voicemail until later that evening. . At around 3pm, I immediately called and spoke with the nurse Girly and she read me the notes from his chart. "he didn't look good! He was lethargic etc..". She said that she would call the hospital and get an update. By the time I hung up, the hospital was calling to let me know he had tested positive for Covid. Girly then called me back and said "yes your dad was admitted for atrial fibrillation." Things moved pretty quickly after this. The next day was supposed to be our meeting with Park Regency for discharge planning. Instead I was signing hospice care orders at St. Jude. My dad died alone on Dec 11th. 3 months after he was admitted here. We weren't allowed to bring any food to Park Regency bc Because they were afraid we could give him Covid. Instead someone else there who works there gave him Covid. I originally wrote this review on December 22 - it had been 11 days and Park Regency had not even bothered to offer condolences. On December 24 Update - Adam, the administrator for Park Regency called to offer condolences and said he didn't know that my dad died. He didn't know? He said he thought we had just taken him home. Questions: So when we didn't show up for discharge planning - no one called to find out where we were? I don't have any voicemails this time. If you assume that we took him home, you didn't call to ask if we needed the care you mentioned that you would make sure we had in our meeting in November - the hoyer lift, the at home care...etc. What about your census? How was Girly able to get information about my dads diagnosis but not you? Dr Bhavsar's office said that he sees patients at Park Regency he didn't give you an update? He was in your care and to tell me you didn't know he died - is very 2020. read more

This is my second go around with this facility. My father was a patient at the facility and he says nothing but great things regarding his stay and care. As a family member, during my visits, I was greeted by friendly staff. Adam the Adminstrator, Dolores in Admissions and Evelyn just to name a few, were so kind and helpful. The process was easily explained to me and I truly felt like my fathers care was going to be great! The facility has knowledgeable & professionals staff. Great care center that does a lot for their residents, patients and community. They have a very thorough and efficient process for COVID vaccine distribution. The staff is incredible caring of anyone who comes in to their location and looks to help everyone once they arrive. The facility is extremely clean and inviting. Everyone was kept socially distant with markers on the floor...it felt safe being there. Sanitizers were everywhere and cleaning continued to happen regularly. read more

My grandmother has been here for a week and a half. If I could give this place a zero I would. No one cares. No one comes when the call button is pushed. No one cares if she eats or not. DO NOT put your loved ones in here to recover. They will be overlooked and ignored. I have sat at the bedside with her and pressed the call button. 25 minutes later STILL no one. I go to the nurse station and they say "they have to find someone". They don't consistently take her vitals. They don't know when she last took her medication. Park Regency Management, you should not be allowed to treat people this way. I will be taking action regarding these issues as well as documenting the incompetence of your staff! read more
