I just had 2 eye surgeries at Harvard Park Surgery Center and while the staff from check in to…read morepre-op to the procedure to post-op were all amazing (exceedingly kind, thoughtful, skilled, excellent professionals), the billing department is not at all of the same caliber. I was told I was going to pay $1k at the time of surgery, but they said I needed to pay $3500 and they refused to run it through my insurance (where they are in-network providers). I really had no choice but to pay as I already had the surgery scheduled. They claimed they had called me and told me about this amount, but I know how to use a phone and check VM and they most definitely did not call. Lying on top of making big errors isn't a good look. Harvard Park miscalculated and significantly overcharged me and it was a total pain to try to get in contact with someone to get their error sorted. The receptionist wouldn't give me the email for billing because only the office manager can give out that information. Huh?? After four phone voice mails finally a local person called me back, but the main billing office never did. Still trying to get this fixed - total annoying waste of my time. They also double charged my insurance. While the most important staff here are truly incredible (all the medical folks) the administration is sub-par. I would not choose to have a procedure again at Harvard Park.

My wife had lower back surgery which went as planned with no complications. This just happened yesterday so she is definitely in the recovery stage at the moment. Back surgery is a very traumatic event no matter what type it is and Dr McPherson and Chris did a great job prior to the surgery explaining everything. There is little for me to say about the surgery itself but I can certainly comment on the recovery at the OCC Surgery Center next door to Peak. The admissions staff was welcoming, very professional and courteous. The bigger story was the pre op and post nurses, Ricky and Lindsey. It was their job to make my wife as comfortable and at ease as possible considering what she was having done. Ricky was with her from both pre op to post op and Lindsey finished off her stay in recovery. Caring is the first word that comes to mind closely followed by professional and simply knew their stuff! This was a difficult experience for my wife to handle and they helped every step of the way. There are not enough words to express her gratitude to the fullest! Thank you and yes, if you need to go this direction we highly recommend Dr. Hugh McPherson, Chris, his staff and the team at the OCC Surgery Center! Whereas my previous PCP had referred to me as "intense" and always kept a mobile, stainless-steel tray between his body and mine, hiding from my onslaught of questions and concerns, Dr. Jendry is absolutely the opposite. Warm, kind, and empathetic, he radiates comfort and support, relying on his decades of experience and education. Bronchitis, sinus infections, flus, requests for bloodwork or MRIS, kidney stones, and maintenance medications. Dr. jendry I find to be the compassionate and willing to do the most digging when it comes to complex medical problems. I have complex needs and he has been nothing short of providing me a quality of life again. Jenny, well she has zero bed side manner. This past week I went in with a severe cough that kept me up, and she sent me in my way saying it's really nothing and to ride it out. I ended up the in ER because I was wheezing, coughing up blood, and couldn't catch my breath. Acute bronchitis. Also, because I was self pay I had only asked since jendry wasn't in if they were okay writing a controlled script to save me another 90 dollar visit, and she insinuated I had 400 of this substance when I did not. I would avoid her appointments if possible. Eileen's husband is the best MA ever. Euler and all the front desk is amazing. I've never seen dr. Glossier but from what I've heard he's pretty outstanding too.

They were very helpful, competent and caring. The facility seemed well equipped. After x-rays it could be seen that my injury was considerably worse than expected. As a result I got sent to the ER. Regardless, these folks were ready to refer to an orthopedic specialist, and do anything they could to help. Also, thanks for being open a couple of hours later than the other places around.
