It's all open there. There's a square where there's performers. It's really family friendly and dog friendly. I don't make it to this farmers market as much as I want to because I need to drive and sometimes parking can be a little bit annoying but usually you can find street parking. I don't come here that often maybe twice a year but I want to go more frequently as this is an all year around farmers market but truly such a special place if you have time on a Saturday morning, please stop by!

And we've indulged in several snacks of plain buttered sourdough toast. This is so delicious! One Rock Farmacy is that little red stand-alone barn-shaped BIPOC-owned produce store in the southeast corner of the huge parking lot ("Lot D") off of Main Street and Old Columbia Pike. They have great fresh organic produce and herbs from their 2.5-acre hand-tilled Clarksville farm, plus honey, sauces, granola, fresh flowers, and more. You can join their CSA, and I've noticed them previously at a couple of Howard County farmers' markets. Today on Facebook I saw they had a $25 CSA box that came with huge carrots, oranges, butter lettuce, mushroom carton, apples and a chicken pot pie! I thought it was a great deal. The CSA is available from Friday-Sunday and you pay first and then collect the produce outside in your own bag/box. The market also had some baked items, frozen meats and jarred goods available. I highly recommend the farm animal cupcakes with the cutest faces and the creamiest frosting!

My family and I purchased our tickets in advance and we saved $3 vs. purchasing at the door. Check-in was a long line but it was moving rather well. Once in, you are given instructions on how to pick the tulips. Your ticket includes 6 tulips and then each additional stem $1 and each additional bulb is $1. The weather was AMAZING and there were so many cute photo ops in the field. This is a very family friendly place, including infants and babies! After we picked our tulips, we sat around to take in the view. When we were ready to check out, there were stations to trim the ends and take the tulips in a water cup. The property this weekend had music, cidery, farm animals, and other cute fun barn games for kids. I highly recommend you to check out the farm!

I was really surprised seeing that they charged almost 2,5 times more than the price tag on the display showed for one of the produce item. When I pointed it out to the cashier, the reply was "the price on the display is wrong" - no apology or other explanations or offering me to still charge me accordingly to what the tag said. They just called someone to change the tag. When I asked about the manager or someone in charge, they said that no one there is available. Instead of appreciating customers and trying to be nice, they just simply don't care.

Finally decaded to contact Once Upon a Crumb, called and left voice mail. Heidi called back and she was very helpful in deciding what to order. I got an email with confirmation, but I had to ask for another favor - if they would make a card for us- and they would!! They also changed delivery time at the last minute to earlier, as I have asked for it. I have received via e-mail a photo of our order as well . The person who received a gift is very happy, she sent a photos too, the great secured packaging. I am highly recommending Once Upon a Crumb, I cannot remmember when I had better, at the same tame proffesional and friendly service. When we visit Sykesville again, we will make sure to go there to meet all of them and thank them in person.
