If you want to be LAUGHED AT behind closed glass, TALKED NEGATIVELY ABOUT because you are requesting to be seen again by different employees due to the slack of the other employees who previously treated you a few days ago, and given treatment with ATTITUDE/SNOTTY REMARKS from different employees because they magically feel entitled to talk down to you for coming in for a second look... THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!! Such a shame that they treat their patients with lack of respect. If you would have done your job the right way the first time, I WOULDN'T FEEL LIKE I NEED TO COME BACK FOR A CHECK UP FROM DIFFERENT EMPLOYEES! And not for nothing, but REGARDLESS of whether the result was the SAME or different, I STILL should've been treated with respect as if it was my first time going in there. Just went here to be seen after being seen last week and getting a medication that didn't work, as well as getting recommended a specialist for the issue I am having. A medical assistant ran out, told me I cannot be seen today? I was going to see if she could give me something else for the issue until my eye appointment. It's pink eye!!! Like are you serious?! I've been going here for years and although the place has changed alot, it is my go to place and I always receive the care I need. Once I had to go back in to change a medication I had a reaction to and they waived my copay. I've had nothing but good experiences here. To the "special" character of a human being who left a reviews saying he "personally heard Dr. Zaheer Shah kick out a patient for forgetting his name", shame on you. The man's name is "Dr.Zaheer A Shah" i'm sure people don't remember his name often, it's not common. I highly doubt he kicked out someone for forgetting his name. That is a lie and you should be ashamed. One can have any complaint or review to share but that? How low can you go? Seriously. I've never witnessed anything close to that at this location. That is a 100% completely fabricated story and it's people like you who poison the Yelp community with your complete and utter bullsh*t fabricated reviews. Suffering from a nasty head cold, early one Sunday morning in August I dropped in as it was the closest non-emergency room setting that was open. (Strangely enough, Woonsocket Urgent Care is closed Sundays). With one, older patient ahead of me, the wait time wasn't -too- bad clocking in around 15-20 minutes, although it's probably worth mentioning the woman up first was spending just about that amount of time placing complaints about various things (yeesh). Once inside the examining room a friendly nurse took my vitals and after about another 10 minute wait, Dr. Kuang dropped in, asked me a few questions and sent me over to the back for several chest xrays. Once we were through with that, after (yet again) another wait, the doctor briefly came in, informed me I had congestion in my lungs/an infection, had me sign a paper and sent me on my way. Overall, my experience was totally "all business." The facilities were clean, the nurses and xray technicians friendly and the doctor serious and to the point. If anything, I didn't quite understand the wait time as no one else was being seen other than the first woman.. I get the impression the staff I had contact with were the only ones on duty. It is definitely worth noting that they also provide primary care so if you need to stop in for urgent services, I recommend calling in ahead for the wait time or come in early on a weekend. read more

I've been using this Urgent Care for the last 10 years or so. In fact, I was so impressed with one of the PA's, I made them my primary. Usually, the wait time is 10 minutes or less....depending on the waiting room. I have found the PAs, nurses and Dr.Shah the best to work with. It is always clean and the staff is always courteous!! I have had some Drs I have seen that were definitely sub par, but overall, it's been very helpful for my family and I when we need it! read more

This place used to be my go to, the doctors were great and very helpful. However, things have changed, I would not recommend it to anyone. I called to make an appointment for my annual check up. The receptionist said, "Well obviously, (with the rudest tone imaginable) you have to get lab work done before you come in." I said I hadn't done so before, it was my first time. And the receptionist said, "How have you never done that before? Really?". I felt so insulted. This place is awful. Liars and scumbags covering up their own messes. I was there on Saturday with all the symptoms of Lyme, and when I got home I noticed I did in fact have a bit on my thigh I hadn't noticed. So I went back the next morning to try and get a prescription, and it was another doctor who charged me $75 to sit me down, look at my leg and tell me it's probably Lyme and that I should get blood work done. So since they were no help, I was forced to go to the ER just to get prescribed the antibiotic which cost me $300 to go there. And when I call this urgent care back the next day to complain, they have the balls to say that they did prescribe be the antibiotic? What the hell? Why would I have went to the hospital? They are terrible. My son drove himself there because he had strep. They did a rapid test that came back negative. Typically his rapid test always comes back negative, they give him antibiotic just in case, and we get a call in 2 days that it was positive after all. He gets it every year or so. We are used to it. This time they sent him home with no medication. The next day he was worse. I called them and explained my childs medical history over the phone to someone who works there after they sent him home without any antibiotic. they said "thats not what his records say. his tests never come back positive." They are a bunch of liars. Well guess what... I know my kid. I dont care what your chart says. this place went downhill fast when the owner took off to Arizona to go back to school to become a lawyer. do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to go. read more

New to town I didn't have a dr yet when a head cold turned into an ear infection. I called ahead and was told there was no wait, it was noon on a week day. The parking is scarce and that's really my only con to the experience. I was taken into a waiting room promptly, a nurse took my vitals and I saw the dr within 10 minutes. He got to business and quickly concluded I needed ear drops and antibiotics, faxed the prescription to the CVS across the street and I was on my way. Super simple. read more

If it wasn't for the nurse that came in the room & actually provided my care, this would be a zero. Went in today for care to my forearm & elbow after a fall yesterday. First, the treatment room had old dried smeared blood or fecal matter on the wall & the floors in the facility were filthy. Definitely not a sanitary situation let alone with the pandemic virus still a concern for all patients. 2nd, I am an oncolgy patient with lung cancer & was treated inappropriately. Even tho I clearly stated I was not there for any pain medications just an xray, The office or charge nurse lady said I should not be on the medications I'm on even with cancer she said she didnt care. I thought, lady, did I hurt you in another life or something? She actually said my oncologist did not know what he was doing. After my xray I was put in a sling but my care nurse was specifically told no I could not have the stronger one and put me in the low grade blue swing. It was offensive, insulting and hurtful. She has no idea the level of care and treatments I have to go thru to survive. To be treated with such an impersonal, unobjective manner was unbelievable! I will NOT be recommending this care office to absolutley anyone ever. read more

New to the area and my sciatic kicked up. Went here to hopefully get a shot or something else to relax the nerve. Waite almost an hr then was sceen by a nurse practicner who seemd like she had no clue at all what to do and was bored. I do not believe there was an actual Dr on duty. First impression while waiting wasn't good as the entry/waiting room rug was filthy. Ok it's winter with snow an mud but the exam rooms were not much better. I do not recommend this urgent care. I went to it yesterday and was very dissatisfied. They amazingly did not accept by BCBS health card. Rather than argue I paid the fee for the visit out of pocket. I also got no medication for my flu. The following day I went to the urgent care in N Smithfield which took my same BCBS health card with no issues. I was seen and prescribed antibiotics as they determined I did indeed need them. Do yourself a favor and avoid this urgent care. read more

Went in with tightness in chest, coughing up blood and green mucus, sinus and ear pressure and sore throat. The medical assistant was so unprofessional and rude as she started talking about me as soon as she left the room. She then came back in to give me a flu test and slammed my door as she walked out, continuing to talk about me when I never said anything to set her off. I then confronted her and the physician about how she was treating me , they argued she wasn't in the wrong and laughed. I AM A PATIENT!!! You don't treat anyone like that. Then the physician assistant came in and was also rude , told me i didn't have an infection and asked if I wanted a cough drop and laughed at me when I started crying because of how upset I was and at how I was being treated. I asked to speak to a real DR because that's what I paid for, She laughed at me. I asked to see a manager and was told that I couldn't talk to anyone, to call back on Monday. I've never been so insulted and mistreated. The staff was all in the early 20's and very disrespectful. When I asked to get my $70 copay back they refused and told me to call on Monday. I am furious. If I could give a zero review I would. I saw the female NP today. I went in with a sinus infection. I'm 53 years old, and I know my body. I had neck pain, facial pain, tooth pain, stuffed head, awful smell in my nose etc. I'm telling her I have a sinus infection, and she's telling me she will make that diagnosis. Yes, sounds like you have a sinus infection, but I doubt it's bacterial she tells me. It's probably viral she says. Wait two weeks to see if it goes away. I'm telling this snotty NP I know it's bacterial. My damn gums are swollen for god sake. I get these every year. I tell her I know my body better than she does. She tells me she knows medicine better than I do and she's not giving me antibiotics today. I don't like even taking antibiotics but I know when I need them. I was not happy. After $75 I went to my pcp. Sure enough I have a bacterial full blown sinus infection. I blew the green snot out of my nose and gave it to my Dr. I'm well aware that antibiotics do not work on viral infections. Anytime I have had these symptoms, I needed an antibiotic for it, and they worked. I'll never go to this urgent care again. These so called professionals aren't as smart as they think they are. Listen to the patient that knows better than you do. I wasn't looking for opiates for god sake. I suggest going any where but this place especially when you're dealing with ppl who's egos are the size of Texas. read more

I was here YESTERDAY and was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. Less then 24 hours later and my eye is in the beginning stages of pink eye. Pink eye can be caused by an upper respiratory infection and vise versa!! THEY MADE ME PAY AGAIN! Telling me they are two different things! They are linked! I've been treated for this before! If these were weeks apart than I could see charging me again! NOT LESS THAN 24 HOURS LATER! So pretty much I should of waited less then 24 hours to be seen so the extra symptom would of been here! Do not, and I repeat, Do Not go hear for any medical attention as you will not get it. I went with my 10 year old daughter that was in tears from fever, headaches, stomach ache, nausea and vomitting. They did test for Flu which came back positive. Only problem is, they gave her nothing for the nausea and vomitting and only prescribed Tamiflu which is only good if given within first 36 - 48 hours of symptoms(I'm not a medical professional and know that, shocking a PA doesn't). My daughter was on day 3 and that is why we took her in as the tylenol/ibuprofen switching was not improving symptoms and it was on day 3 she started crying from pain in head and stomach. I called back the following day as my daughter was vomiting all her medicine up and couldn't hold anything down. Someone called Jen calls me back and simply tells me to continue giving her the Tamiflu. I respond with the fact we did not purchase the Tamiflu and need something for her stomach and vomiting so she can keep medicine down and doesn't dehydrate. She puts me on hold for a second than gets back on and tells me I need to take her to Hasbro childrens hospital. I was dumbfounded and was like really, seriously that is all you are going to do. She says yes and hangs up. Wow, so I call back and ask the front desk person for a number to call as I wasn't happy. Adam, the PA gets on and I start to tell him about Jen and he abruptly interrupts me and says, "No she didn't, I was standing right here the whole time". Taken back I tell him that it is exactly what happened than he goes on a rant about not disrespecting him because he gave excellent medical service to my daughter. Comical as he prescribed a medication that was past date it could be effective and did nothing for Nausea or vomiting to help her keep medicine and fluids down that she really needed. They are incompetent, rude and I will never, ever take my children or myself there ever again! Avoid this place as they do not have a clue what they are doing and could care aless about the patient, even a 10 year old girl that was in extreme pain!!! read more
