    The bed. Very comfortable.

Five years ago, I was in New Orleans with some friends but stayed at the Hilton next door. We walked by this beautiful wedding cake confection of a building many times and I vowed to come back in the spring with my husband. We made reservations to come back in March of 2020. Yeah. Great timing! Needless to say we had to cancel our non refundable reservation. I called the hotel and asked if there was any possibility of getting my payment back. They said "absolutely" I promised them I would come and stay with them at a future date. Being a person who keeps a promise, we booked another stay and am so glad we did. From reading the reviews, the hotel has cut back on some of the amenities. So I guess to start off with the cons, I was a little disappointed that they have only paper cups for coffee with no glasses for other drinks. The most accessable outlets are in the bathroom and not where you might need them next to the bed. These are minor quibbles. I also understand expecting 21st century electrical access in an historical building is not always feasible. The pros definitely outweigh the cons. The staff are outstanding - friendly, professional and very helpful with questions and providing information. The room is comfortable and I slept well. The lobby area is lovely and a nice mix of traditional and modern. Breakfast in the dining room is good and there is a intimate bar with food and drink in the evenings. I am pleased that we were able to stay here.

Overall this was an awesome stay. It was so close to everything and there is a grocery store down the street. The staff was so friendly at check in and always saying hi and bye when we would come in and leave. The rooms were amazing and clean and the showers looked like they had been recently updated. The bathroom and sink are small but that wasn't terrible for us. Each room has a closet as well for hang up items. I'm bummed we missed PBJ time every night, my only suggestion would be to make it longer! 1 hour is fine but hard when you're out. The bar is also located in the lobby. We would have gotten a drink but it was $$$

Serving PB & J daily since 1988. Needed a convenient location for a med school graduation. Le Pavillion has location, location, location. So easy to walk to the university med center campus and then the convention center for the commencement ceremony. A short walk to the Riverwalk, the New Orleans Holocaust Memorial and The Cabildo House. The rooms were comfy, although the beds were a bit too soft. Would have liked to have had bottled water to make hot tea or coffee in the room, but there is a self serve machine behind the checkin desk to make a chai latte or a cappuccino. Nice peekaboo view of the Crescent City Connection bridge from our seventh floor room. Loved the cute PB & J Tradition. Apparently a guest ordered a late night glass of cold milk from the bartender and shared that he always drank a glass of milk and ate a PB & J sandwich with his daughter. To feel close to her even when he was away, he still drank a glass of cold milk. The staff was so touched by this sweet story that they made him a PB & J sandwich to go with his glass of milk. Today, you can enjoy a PB & J snack from 4-5 daily served with a cold glass of whole or chocolate milk in the lobby near the bar. A little something extra. Parking is available via valet. Intentionally booked a room that included overnight parking, otherwise it would have been $51 per night. Convenient location on Poydras. About a 15 minute walk to the Quarter, the convention center and the med school.

Yelping About - 1803 Bar in Le Pavillon Hotel: the bar is quaint, vibey, and has excellent service. It was really a treat and so unassuming. I've gone to New Orleans several times and continue to find gems. Here is an upscale venue and totally my type of environment. Nestled with the Le Pavillion Hotel. Of course we had an old fashioned and a pour of Sazarac. Oh and prosecco The bartender was freaking amazing. Like she knew her stuff and took pride in her craft. Hey Nola! See you next time.

The 3.5 stars sounds appropriate for this hotel- it's hard to rate a hotel, as I normally stay in Airbnb, and it's a different standard. I'll summarize: LOCATION: VERY GOOD 15 minutes walk to French Quarter and Aquarium. Less than 10 minute walk to Superdome. 25 minutes from the airport. Close to attractions, like St Louis Cemetery #1. 15 minute walk to Bourbon St. A couple blocks away from Canal Street. 6 minute walk to a grocery store and a CVS. ROOM: AVERAGE I stayed in a basic room, so it was just okay. Clean as far as I can tell, plus extras like a Keurig and a mini fridge. The building is old, the heater was loud, walls are thin, windows are drafty and you can hear street noise. If you're a light sleeper, an FYI, trash pickup is at like 4 am and you will hear metal dumpsters banging on the street. Ask for a room on a higher floor - I was on the 4th floor and was woken up every night. AMENITIES: GREAT Better than average fitness center, very clean and has towels and snacks. The 9 PM pb&j sandwiches were awesome, and they had lemon water in the lobby. One of the nights, there was a live band outside the hotel lounge. The hotel lobby is beautiful. No room service at this hotel. Elevators are very slow- it seems that only one was in use. SERVICE: INCONSISTENT Some of the employees were friendly and respectful, others didn't even acknowledge you as you entered through the front door. The staff by the main entrance were particularly apathetic. Front desk staff were mostly very nice. I was surprised by the lack of room service and I stayed for 3 nights. Someone knocked on my door at 10 AM on the day I was checking out to ask if I need anything. Checkout is at 11.

Fantastic experience at this hotel for a girls weekend. It felt so luxurious and the staff was so warm and helpful. Easy pickup for Ubers and great photo ops. The bed was comfortable and plenty of toiletries. Walking distance to bourbon. Had a blast!

I wish I could say that I still love Le Pavillon but a lot of has changed over the last 10 years and the Le Pavillon today is not as impressive as the Le Pavillon we originally loved. Not to say we don't stay here sometimes, it's just not our first choice but one thing is for sure, Le Pavillon is probably the best deal around. They always have very fair prices and in general the hotel is very nice. The lobby and many (or all) the rooms/floors have been updated and each time we visit it does look nice but it's the the stuff you notice once in a room. There is always something in the room that can use some maintenance. Numerous times we had drawers or doors to the dresser that won't properly close. We've had the faucet dripping and the walls near the door have very noticeable damages from peoples luggage but these should be fixed and painted. The people at the front desk... they are always great. A few years ago, they got rid of the door man... used to have a classy welcome of the guy with the top hat and white gloves open the door upon your arrival but they got rid of him. Now the entrance driveway is limited to valet and taxis and ubers can not enter the driveway (so they drop you on the roadway out front (which sucks on rainy days). They barely say hello when you pass by. My last disappointment is the "FREE" PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY BUFFET It used to be 10PM every night with various breads, jellies and peanut butter spreads plus pre-made sandwiches. The buffet used to include milk, chocolate milk and hot cocoa (with a whipped cream and bowls of marshmallows) - - - - - AND NOW, it's at 4PM (not a big deal) but not the same; just a fraction of the options and hot cocoa and the goodies that go with it are gone. They put out a very small amount of milk and chocolate milk and once gone they do not refill (it ran out at 4:10PM and they wouldn't refill). And there were THREE PLATES, and then no more brought so you have to use napkins. It's just silly the way it's done now.

The lobby is beautiful, the valet people are extremely friendly and helpful, but that's about it. Only one working elevator, unfriendly front desk staff and empty water in lobby. We stayed in the Napoleon sweet and brought. It is beautiful shoulder ahead, the bed is terrible. Old and worn out. The pillows were also awful and we slept horrible. For the price of that room, I would expect a far better mattress- The room itself was quite nice, and the hallways were well lit and updated. But the front desk staff really didn't want to be bothered with helping guest, and the fact that you only have one working elevator in a hotel at this level, should be an embarrassment. No signs to tell you that only one was working, just figure it out on your own. The bar and restaurant we're also not open, not sure if this was because of a systems malfunction or they just don't have the staff, but again very disappointing for a hotel at this price point. The location is nice, and it's quieter than staying in the French quarter. It's also very close to the Superdome in The Smoothie Keating Center, probably a short 5 to 7 minute walk.

The last time we stayed here was to stage/prepare for graduation (rather than risk traffic the morning of) in a suite (Bourbon?) and I wasn't impressed with the worn bits and the lack of cleanliness- at all. Apparently, they've had a reno, so we may staycation here soon to make use of the awesome rooftop pool. Having said that, we met up with friends yesterday, who were staying here to chaperone a church group and the lobby is still gorgeous, the bar is still fabulous, and they are still doing the PB&Js with chocolate milk! I'm crossing my fingers that the upgrades are a noticeable improvement! I'll update soon.

Throroughly enjoyed my stay here. It was a great time and the service was on point. I could tell it was a vintage stay because of the architecture and the age of the features but it got the job done. Never got to try the PB&J sandwiches which is apart of the hotel tradition but I can actually say I stayed in a traditional/independently ran hotel in NOLA. The bar was excellent our room had a broken ironing board that I didn't get to use. Wish the bathrooms were a little bigger.

My daughter and her fiancé did a detailed search for just the right wedding venue to meet their needs. We booked Marché about six months in advance after visiting multiple venues, and it quickly stood out. The planning process can be tedious and tricky, but their Special Events Operations Manager, Wallace, was truly exceptional. He is the primary reason we chose Marché and, ultimately, the reason our wedding day was such a success. Why we chose Marché: * Excellent French Quarter location * Beautiful views from multiple balconies * Great layout for ceremony, dining, and dancing * Incredible, authentic New Orleans food * Excellent value for the price * Wallace's professionalism, responsiveness, and willingness to go above and beyond What impressed us most after the wedding: * The tasting was extremely helpful in finalizing food and drink selections * We were able to customize ceremony and dining layouts to fit our vision * Time allotted for both ceremony and reception was more than adequate * Food was outstanding and widely praised by guests * Bartenders made great drinks and happily accommodated requests * Wine, liquor, and beer selections were very good * The "flip" from ceremony to dance space was executed flawlessly--fast, organized, and exactly as planned Guest feedback: * The staff welcomed our guests with enthusiasm and excitement. They made everyone feel welcome. * We received countless compliments, with many saying it was one of the best weddings they had ever attended * Guests loved the food, drinks, and smooth flow from dining to dancing Helpful recommendations: * Take full advantage of the balconies--we threw beads to guests waiting in Dutch Alley before the second line, which was a highlight * Have champagne passed as guests arrive to set a celebratory tone * Do not overdecorate the ceremony room--the chandeliers, floors, windows, and lighting are already stunning * Encourage guests to use the balconies at night; the views are amazing (our cigar bar was a big hit) * Highly recommend a second line--it creates a fantastic guest experience and allows time for reception setup * A separate "day-of" coordinator is unnecessary if you are organized--Wallace and his team handle everything seamlessly One small negative (for transparency): Our assigned salesperson was slow to respond to emails, and her in-person communication style was abrupt. However, this did not impact the success of our wedding and should not discourage anyone from choosing Marché. Overall, Creole Cuisine Company and its employees are consistently professional and hospitable at all levels of leadership and staff. Planning tip: Carefully review the food and beverage brochure and ask detailed pricing questions. We created a spreadsheet to track costs and maximize value. Be sure to ask about reduced pricing for minors and vendors. Final note: Wallace is a true gem--kind, positive, respectful, and incredibly attentive. Because of his leadership, the entire team operates at the highest level. Not a single guest needed anything all night, and the bride and groom were truly taken care of. Marché delivered an unforgettable wedding experience, and we recommend it without hesitation.

There is a stage area where students for Big Class read poems. I presume that other performances take place on the stage as well. There are even some sofas for comfy seating as you enjoy whatever is happening on stage or just mingling with friends. I didn't get to explore it, but there's an upstairs area as well. It should be noted that the building is located on an extremely well lit block, so if you attend an event here at night you should feel pretty safe. I look forward to attending more events here and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more fundraisers that may be held here.
