I have paralysis of the eyelid and need steel frame glasses, which have a wire extension termed a 'lid crutch', which helps prop up my lid. Making something like this is very difficult and usually done by the optician connected to large hospitals with an ophthalmology department. My first pair were made at OSU Hospital. My wife has had problems with double vision. She met with an optometrist at Costco. Because she needed several prisms her lenses would need to be made by a specialist. The optometrist recommended going to Parkview optical. They were exceptionally good and were able to deal with her complicated prescription. We had tried to get the same thing done elsewhere, but they were unable to do the lenses properly and the cost was about three times what Parkview optical charges. Hello everyone, after I read the reviews about Parkview optical, I decided to go and get a pair of glasses. WHAT A BIG BIG MISTAKE. I order a pair of glasses on Monday 6/3/24 for 904 dollars. Three weeks later still no glasses. I was told they would be in by the end of the week. Didn't happen. I call the following Monday to see what was up. I was told they would be in after 1 pm or the following day. Didn't happen I call again. Same story. I called again. Same story. By this time, it's been two weeks. Called again. I was told the lab was at fault, the eye lens machine was broken, and it would be a couple more days. Didn't happen. At this point I was very upset and stress out. I went back to Parkview and was told they came in but the lenes were wrong and they had to send them back and they would be in after 1pm or the following day. Once again didn't happen Now I'm really P O and really stress. Now it is going on three weeks and still no glasses. I have never had so much trouble getting a pair of glasses in the 40 years I been wearing glasses. Be warned. This joint is absolutely a nightmare to deal with. At this point I don't want the glasses and I going to seek a refund. The place does not deserve my business after this terrible experience I've been going through. Stay tuned I'll let you know if I get a refund. My next step is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bural if that doesn't work maybe a chat with my Attorney will help. I save for months so I could get a good quality pair of glasses. At this point I have no glasses and I don't have the money to go elsewhere. They have really screwed me royally. We were promptly greeted by the friendly and helpful owner and given a wide array of choices which matched my daughter's preferences. The office has a large selection including designer, unusual and very stylish frames! The office is beautifully adorned, smells good and is very welcoming. Best of all, they have a technician on-site so our glasses were ready less than an hour later! We went next door for brunch at Don and Sweet Sue's while we waited. There's also a nail shop next door so you could get a manicure while you wait for your new frames if you want! I would definitely give Park View a perfect five star rating for friendly, helpful service, a beautiful office, and quality glasses! Felix saved me today! I was far from home, in Cathedral City, and my contact lens ripped. I was unprepared. I didn't have a backup. I searched GPS for the nearest optometrist, Park View Optical came up. I drove there in a panic because I cannot see out of one eye without a contact lens. Walked in winking and explained my situation. I happened to have my prescription with me as I'd planned to call in a refill today. I showed him my prescription (which I had on my 1-800-Contacts app - thank God for apps!) and he was able to give me two sample boxes of my contacts. What a lifesaver!! Extremely Disappointed with The customer service . I took in my NEW Pair of BOSE SOPRANO sunglasses to have my prescription installed on them, May I add they were never worn due to the fact my prescription was not on them. When I dropped them off they were still wrapped and Jessica saw me unwrap the case. When I picked them up I assumed they were the going to be the same brand new Bose Soprano Sun Glasses so I left without inspecting them I really trusted Felix since I've gone to them before and they did a good job, I was returning customer but that won't ever happen again. When I arrived home I excitedly inspected the glasses , and they were scratched like if someone took sandpaper to them and I'm talking SCRATCHED and the lens wasn't even completely installed correctly. They looked like a used, dirty old pair. I took them in the next day , and Felix was extremely unprofessional and accused me of using them. It's really sad that Jessica, his assistant saw me taking them out of the Bose Case removing the arm cover on the glasses they day I originally dropped them off! When I informed him I would never come back to his business, and would inform the manager at Optical at Costco he changed his tune towards me . Felix offered to reorder a new pair, what's more disappointing, and extremely BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE 27 DAYS LATER Jessica called left a voicemail on October 25 , 2022 saying the glasses would arrive Friday 28 October 2022. Yet Felix called me today 26 October2022 that my glasses were ready. BOSE DELIVERED MY SOPRANO SUNGLASSES in 2 DAYS !!!! I believe they Deliberately held my glass for almost a month , just Disgusting Customer Service . I would never go into this business ever again , and I will also add CUSTOMER BEWARE when going into this business NO INTEGRITY, or WORK ETHICS. Shame on THEM !!!!! Heard about Park View back from a friend back in 2012... The service Mr Felix and his staff provide have nothing but Top Notch.. Always greeted with a smile. Service is always quick and done right.. one could easily take just about ANY glasses frames and in 30 min you'll have your prescriptions in your frames.. prescription glasses easily done, also repairs easily done. (I taken some broken frames and staff was able to repair the glasses and now glasses felt as good as they were new) But the best part is the warmth your greeted with, Mr. Felix is very patient, and helpful. I once went in to get a new pair of glasses done, While I was waiting.. Mr Felix noticed I was wearing an older pair of glasses (which was in very bad shape) he asked to take a look at them.. he then repaired, and made them sturdy again. Free of charge, just because out of appreciation of being a customer. I highly recommend Park View Optical to anyone In a dire situation, it was recommended to me and I've recommended Park View optical to many friends, family, customers, and heard similar happy results.
