Not only do they have the best prices and the best selection of silhouette glasses I have ever seen, but the owners are super kind and very generous and always will straighten your glasses for free. This is a super service because silhouette glasses last me 10 to 20 +++ years. Some even longer....... And I am NOT careful with them. Even when I lay on them or sit on them, Debbi and Phil (husband and wife team )can get them straight again and looking perfect for me. ONE PRICE OPTICAL in Bermuda Dunes is the 'Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmare' of Optical services. I ordered glasses to be made from my prescription there. I am very sorry that I did. I DO NOT recommend this operation. It is the worst service company I have dealt with ever and except for the owner's quite helpful wife and son, has the worst most appalling customer service. I had to go back six times for three failed fix attempts before finally being refused satisfaction to correct their messed up job. I paid nearly $400 for glasses that I cannot see through properly. Unsatisfied, I went to Lense Crafters (go there instead people) to test the glasses ONE PRICE made to verify that what I suspected was true: The job they did at One Price Optical was badly botched; the prescription way off. What's worse is that the owner deflected, obfuscated, lied and finally bullied me out of his store when I brought what Lense Crafters confirmed to his attention. INCOMPETENT OPERATION. In addition, they promised me 24 hour delivery and failed at that too. I had to come back two times to finally get them after they told me to come on down - that they would be ready. When I finally tried on the glasses they made I told the rude, imposing, overbearing, sweaty grinch of an owner Phil that they weren't right; that I couldn't focus, and to that he told me that I need to get used to the glasses. That it would take a few days before I could see right!!!??? I also sat there and heard him telling another dissatisfied customer there the same BS story. But since he was so insistent and I had a wedding to go to and plane to catch, I reluctantly agreed and went off hoping he was right. He was WRONG. So, If I was like Chef Ramsey for a day and was hired to give ONE PRICE OPTICAL some good advice, I would tell them to get the socially challenged and incompetent owner Phil out of the reception and fitting area and keep him sequestered in back and always away from customers. (You are scaring the customers PHIL! ) Oh and get someone competent to run your "expensive machinery." I think this place sucks and it has been a total waste of my money and time. Very disappointed. Not only am I extremely happy with my frames and lenses (I bought 4 pairs), the owners, Phil and Debbie! OMG, they go out of their way to make sure you're more than pleased with the glasses before they turn them over to you. I will NEVER go anywhere else, they even recommended an eye doctor who was in turn was the best. I do things backwards I got the frames before the lenses. Let me begin by saying,I needed to get new prescription lens for my glasses. I LOVE my present frames, and I was told by several opticians that new lens could not be put in my beautiful "old" frames!!! One Price Optical was recommended, so I figured, what have I got to loose. Phil is a master!!!!! He was able to replace the lens with my new prescription and refurbish the fames so they look and feel like new!!! Looking for a pair of eyeglasses, but don't want to spend hundreds? I can recommend One Price Optical. Small shop, park right in front, not crowded, attentive service. Bought a pair of glasses with 'progressive' lenses, two months ago. I picked out the frame (from among dozens of varieties), handed them the prescription I got at Walmart optician, paid $99 all-in, and picked up my glasses five days later in a hardshell case. They work just fine two months later. Just went back and bought a second pair - just picked out a different style frame, and since they had my prescription on file, all I had to do was pay $99 and pick them up four days later.... I was referred to One Price Optical by my mother. She's bought two pairs there. One pair she stepped on and smashed, mailed it back to them, they repaired them and mailed the fixed glasses back to her - no charge at all! These are nice people who run this place but an extremely bad experience as they are supposed to be first class and after having had a detached retina I wanted the best in glasses. I had a new prescription made and took this to Costco to have a set made as wanted to make sure the prescription was right before I made the move to get my good glasses updated to that prescription. The Costco glasses were great and my detached retina eye vision with these glassest was as good as it could get so off to One Price to get those done. The glasses I got back OPO were no where near as good as the Costco glasses and with a bit of an argument and their reasoning for not being as good, they agreed to redo them. Something about the curvature of the lens. Today I got the redo and they were just as bad and that upset them and me as well. Their explanation was that the Costco glasses had an anti glare coating which made them better. Really, first they knew about my detached retina so please give me what's best in which they said I did not want the anti glare coating which was not true. Though in calling another optical house I was told that that coating has nothing to do with the prescription. They insisted the glasses matched the prescription given to them which was that same I'd given to Costco and if the coating changed the prescription, which it did as it was not as sharp then those glasses did not match the prescription. They were nice enough, though angree, to give me my money back. Bottom line if you want your glasses to be done right and not just so so, I no longer support One Price Optical. read more
