Having worked in the veterinary space I was very impressed with the level of service at Park West Vet Associates. They are corporate owned entity (NVA) but still focus on what is best for each pet and the surrounding community. Terrible experience. Our dog is familiar with boarding and we never had trouble. They called two hours after we left wanting us to o.k. a vet visit for $78.00 to administer trazadone. We had our daughter take some that we had and let them know she would be fine with exercise and play. Then we learned she had been out for the day, by herself, and would be in the rest of the day except for potty breaks. We requested that she interact with other dogs and be let out as much as possible. When we picked her up she, and her toy reaked of urine. Her paws were yellow. She came home a zombie dog, clearly over- medicated with the anti- anxiety medicine. ​ I can't imagine going back. read more

We recently went to PW Veterinary to get our senior indoor cats checked out. As new clients they were friendly from beginning to end. Making the appointments was easy, bringing in 2 cats in carriers was easy. The whole process, 2 visits over 3 weeks went well. A strange sneezing had developed with our cats, so it was time for a check up. Frankly it had been a LONG time, as the cats hate going places. But the staff handled both with enthusiasm and care, and when it was time to see the vet she was professional and just as caring. The problem was diagnosed, a treatment of some shots to rid the nasal infection, and we were good to go. It was nice to find a vet again that made us feel welcome and comfortable. And with such other happy client Yelp reviews here, we were expecting such good care, attention and detail to service. We will be back. read more

Maybe, it's the friendly, knowledgeable techs and front office staff ... or Dr. Jay's (Jay Goldsmith, DVM) great 'bedside manner' ... or, his 'right on' ability to nail a diagnosis and get an actionable treatment plan going ... or, the fact that he returns calls, or, that I can purchase my furkid's dental hygiene products at the same price as on Amazon (and save the shipping), or, that the practice is compassionate and offers CareCredit (should I need it), or, ... Please re-think having your pet stay here. Like you, I really love my animals and especially my two dogs. I was going back and forth on getting a Rover for our trip to Europe but felt weird about having someone stay in our house and didn't have enough time to full vet someone out as we're new(er) to the area. I felt a sense of security reading about Stay and the fact that they pamper the dogs and have social time with other dogs of their temperament, have TVs in the suites and have an indoor and outdoor play area. I tested our younger dog for a one day stay several months before our big trip and she did great, they sent us text pics and and update email about her stay and everything seemed good. That changed big time with our large trip. Our bernedoodle puppy was drugged from day 2. When we discussed why, she was pulling the staff members and having anxiety in her suite. When I asked how long she was out of her suite, they told me it was hot outside and likely only 3 hours outside of her suite. When they say suite, they are referring to her small cage area. So basically they told me she was in her suite for 23 hours a day. Also, on the website it says they have indoor and outside play areas so there is no reason she shouldn't have been able to play inside if it was hot. We also stopped getting any correspondence past the time they started drugging the dog. We were in Europe with no other options and felt terrible to the point we almost came back early. When I went to pick her up, the bill had been overcharged from a random duplicate billing. When they brought her out she was wet and dirty and since according to the website, they do a complimentary bath prior to going home for 5 day stays and longer, I asked if she had been bathed. They said she was yesterday but when I smelled and inspected her she stunk and had literal dirt on her to the point I gave her a bath right when I got home. I'm not a clean freak with the dogs and she usually gets a bath every few weeks and she is frequently outside. I will never bring another animal to Stay and would advise against it for anyone who doesn't want their dog in a cage for 21 hours a day. read more

We have been going to this office for over a year now. I have never dealt with a more wonderful caring Office. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with a smile. The Vet techs treat your pet like the precious family members they are. Dr Schmidt calls me to go over any test results, even the good ones! You never feel rushed when the Dr is examining your pet and going over tests, they actually care We have seen a few of the Vets and they all are the most compassionate Vets we have ever met! Park West is fantastic! I had my French bulldog, Clooney, neutered this week, and the entire experience was as smooth as can be. I called on a Tuesday, and spoke with two different women over the phone, both of which were very friendly. I was able to make an appointment with Dr. Jay for the next day for a consultation since my puppy had never been to this vet before. Dr. Jay was very kind and extremely professional. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and made sure I was completely comfortable with their doctors and the facility. I scheduled the surgery for that Friday, with Dr. Lester, who is SUCH a sweetheart! She called me personally after clooney was out of surgery to reassure me that things went well, which was much appreciated. When I came to pick him up, she outlined very clearly what to expect over the next few days, and answered all of my questions with ease. It's so apparent that each person working here loves animals and truly enjoys what they do. Clooney has a bit of separation anxiety, and cries when I leave him (especially in new places) and had absolutely no problem being dropped off. I wasn't going to write this review, because I spoke with the office manager after my negative experiences here in hopes they would be improved, but they were not addressed and the issues in communication there persisted, so I believe it's fair for me to write this review now. I tried use this vet for my precious lab's TPLO surgery for CCL tear due to their online marketing for skilled TPLO surgery. First appointment was a disaster, no communication amongst staff....no one knew why we were there. I was scheduled to meet surgeon then was told after I got there that I'd have to wait two hours to meet him, after I clearly told the scheduler prior to the appointment that I needed the first appointment of the day with both the vet and surgeon because of my work schedule. The regular vet who saw my lab didn't even seem to realize we were there for a TPLO assessment and not to transfer care there. She was just doing a basic intake appointment. Prior to appointment, I was told by staff that the surgery would be around $4000, but wasn't told the first appointment would be over $660... Then I tired again to reach out to them, but they did not have correct medical records for my dog, causing so much unnecessary stress and back and fourth calls and emails. If they would have actually read my first email and looked to see what was going on, they wouldn't have sent me an email with incorrect and concerning information. In short, because of all of this I would highly recommend staying away from this vet for a skilled procedure like TPLO, if they can't even organize their staff and medical records or communicate between their staff or patients. read more

We used to think they were a caring place with good customer service however our opinions changed when our boy had to be put to sleep and we felt rushed and like an inconvenience during the procedure. It added insult to injury after some time had passed and we never received any condolences for our loss through a card, e-mail or even a phone call and sadly this showed us they did not care much about my pets or us as clients like we thought.
