    Mango chutney turkey sandwich

I had this sandwich delivered at a work lunch and it was so good!! The chutney is a little spicy but I will definitely order again. So yummy

We have been at the previous P&O location and this location but had not ordered food here. Stopped by on a Saturday particularly to eat instead of shop. We got a cheddar biscuit with bacon and eggs, and my wife wanted the salmon bagel but they were out of bagels so they offered to make it on sourdough bread. We found a place in the seating area and waited for them to call our name. My biscuit was delicious and filling, and my wife's salmon was so large she ended up taking part of it go. Don't forget to poke around their retail area for gifts, cookbooks, wines and more. They also have occasional sales. It's now become a Durham institution.

I've been to Parker & Otis twice now. It is at Bay 4 in the American Tobacco Campus. It is a combination of a sandwich shop and a gift shop. You order at the counter and when your order is ready, your name is called. There is limited inside seating and courtyard seating. If there is a group inside, it gets very loud. I had No.28 both visits as I really love the combination of peanut butter, bananas, bacon and honey. I'm not sure why plastic wrap is used on each sandwich, as it seems wasteful as it is already wrapped. Each sandwich comes with a fortune cookie too. On my first visit I had a salad with corn and tomatoes that was delicious. I enjoyed both sandwiches too as I ordered it again. It is very messy so remember to get extra napkins. The gift shop is great, filled with NC items, books, stationery, puzzles, toys and so much more. The store is decorated well. Sometimes I wasn't sure what was decoration and what was for sale.

This place is sooooo cute!!! I had some extra time before my shift at the DPAC so I decided to walk around and explore. I came across Parker & Otis right when I decided that I wanted some coffee before heading to work. I'm so glad I went in! Such a cute and interesting shop with so much to look at! From chocolates, candy, to knick knacks - I lost track of time looking around! Everyone was so friendly. I then had an iced latte with pistachio syrup and almond milk and it was delicious! I also decided to grab a sandwich after seeing the menu. It was sooooo hard to choose from so many tasty looking options, but I went with the grilled cheese with bacon! I mean, who doesn't love bacon, right lol? The sour dough bread was amazing!!! I can't wait to go back and try more!

A must visit! The mix of a coffee shop with a elevated Hallmark store. Stoped in just for a coffee and so glad I did. I tried the pistachio rose latte and it was out of this world! Along with a delicious cheddar biscuit. Seating inside to enjoy any goodies.

I had no idea that P&O was a whole gift shop in addition to a cafe! I got the iced pistachio matcha latte, which was a subpar matcha latte tbh. The pistachio essence was strong, but I couldn't taste matcha at all. So this review should be 3 stars, but I love the American Tobacco Campus' ambiance so much that I will bump it up haha. It could totally be possible that their coffee is much better, and the sandwiches I've had from here the past were pretty good. Service was fast & friendly. There's free nearby parking in City of Durham garages on the weekends and after 7pm on weekdays; I think ATC's garages are also free on weekends or for 2 hrs on weekdays. 6.5/10 would maybe recommend!

No. 22 Turkey, Havarti, & Sliced Avocado

Delicious sandwiches, friendly staff, and awesome vibes inside this knickknack store/sandwich shop!! Stopped by on our way to tour Duke and it was exactly what we needed. It is located inside the American Tobacco district of Durham which is filled with local shops and restaurants. This place is well worth your money, packing your sandwiches with a more than generous portion of meat. My favorite was the No. 17 with the olive tapenade bringing such diverse flavors into sandwich. I also tried the No. 22 however found it to almost have 'too much' meat, taking away from the flavor of the avocado. I am already looking forward to coming back, this would be an awesome place to take visitors out for a quick yet yummy lunch!

I have actually been looking for a sandwich shop in this area with the gas station/convenience store vibe and I was so delighted to find this place. It is everything you want a sandwich shop to look like. There is a fridge full of different drinks and sides they make fresh, walls of candies and chocolates, and a whole store of items on the other side. You can find all types of unique and international chocolates and they even had a window of baked goods that were actually plush toys. There are multiples lines to jump in and order sandwiches from. You can also build your own sandwich which I did. The staff is nice and it didn't take long for my name to be called. There is no indoor seating but there is plenty of outdoor seating and the area is very cute. I built a nice fat turkey sandwich with jam, cheese, avocado, herb dressing, and more and had it hot on sourdough bread. It was so satisfying. The corn salad was also super refreshing and yummy. I definitely love this place. You can't go wrong.

    Grilled Pimento Cheese BLT

I adore Parker & Otis. This is always one of my MUST VISITS when I come to Durham & I've been a patron for years even when they were in their old location. It's a quick counter order for really delicious & creative coffee options (and they use pebble ice!) They have a good variety of sandwiches on their menu and none of the food ever disappoints, but their pimento cheese is one of my favorites around. An added bonus is the atmosphere with the gift shop that is full of exciting options for any type of gift you need to pull together.

    Turkey & Foster's 7 Pepper Jelly-so good!!!

If you want a sandwich in Durham this is your place! Plus it's a HUGE sandwich! They do not skimp on the toppings! Saw all the yummy reviews on Yelp and decided I needed to try this place out while in town. I had the 25 which is the pepper jelly Turkey sandwich. I got it on sourdough and added tomato and it was delicious! Super generous size and the other half was great for breakfast the next morning. My husband enjoyed his roast beef sandwich and the cheerwine and chips were all yummy. Nice customer service and I wish I lived there bc I would be hitting up this place for sandwiches all the time!

Great location and friendly service. The food was very good. I had a blt and a coke. About $14. No sides included. The sandwich was very good but that price is a bit high for what you get. I guess the location is the main factor. The store attached had some interesting and eclectic offerings. You order at the counter, wait for your name to be called then take your food outside or back to your office. It is very convenient. My office is in the tobacco warehouse building so it's one of the places to grab lunch that's close.

Man, WHAT A SANDWICH! I got the chicken cutlet sandwich with prosciutto (Uncle Primo's Chicken…read moreCutlet), and it absolutely did not disappoint. Easily one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time!!! The chicken cutlet was delicious, the prosciutto added a great salty flavor, and the whole thing just worked. I would absolutely go back just for this sandwich. The only downside was the wait. We stood in line for about 45 minutes in the heat, and since it's a pretty small spot with no real waiting area, it can be a rough experience during the summer. There also wasn't any shade or any umbrellas, so standing outside for that long was definitely brutal (highly recommend they add a couple umbrellas or covering to help). That said... what a sandwich. The food was good enough that I'd happily come back and wait again. I'd just recommend going on a cooler day or being prepared to stand outside for a while.

The table and floor were messy but someone quickly came to clean it for me. They called our names over the loudspeaker and my best friend went to go get our food. She got the MotherClucker. Our food was REALLY good. If you like Cobb salad, you will definitely like this one. The chicken was pan seared perfectly, the vinaigrette was perfectly tangy and the bleu cheese was especially excellent. My friend's chicken sandwich has SO MUCH chicken salad on it. Impressive. There was so many neat items to see in the place. The murals were great, there were some cute retail spaces, a coffee bar up front, a bar downstairs, and ice cream outside! Unfortunately my bestie and I had too much to talk about so we didn't check it out as much as I otherwise wood. I would definitely try this place again!

It took about 15 minutes before a table finally opened up and we were able to sit. From there, the service continued to be slow. I know the staff - both servers and kitchen - were working hard. I don't blame them as much as it feels like they are understaffed and stretched thin. Overall, it took a while for us to get our food, and we were all hangry by the time we had food. The servers were running around so it took a while whenever we needed something or ran out of water. The food itself surprised me. I know the menu was small and curated but I was actually surprised how little variety there was. And I don't know if I would consider this a vegan/vegetarian friendly place anymore. While they do have dishes and options, it is minimal. I got the pork and mushroom dumplings, pork bao bun, onigiri, and the housemade belt noodles. Both the dumplings and belt noodles were coated in a chili oil that made them almost inedible. And I like spicy! But this was too much. My favorite was the onigiri. Overall, between wait, service, quality, and price, I do not think I will be back.
