I ordered online and was pleasantly surprised by how easy pickup was, they have a dedicated side door with a doorbell, so you can skip the line and be in and out within minutes. Everything was ready when I arrived, and they even pre-cut the bagels, which was a small touch that made a big difference. I ordered the everything bagel and the jalapeño cheddar bagel, along with an orange poppy seed donut and a vanilla glazed donut. Everything tasted fresh and well-made, and it was easy to see why this place has such a loyal following. The only downside is parking, but there are plenty of nearby street parking options, so it's manageable if you're willing to walk a minute or two. I tried an egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich, on a salt bagel. You could tell the bagel was fresh, and the texture of it was light and airy, with the right amount of salt. Bacon was perfect crispy, and over medium egg was cooked properly. I tried 2 of the donuts- the glazed and the apple cider one. I thought the glazed one was basic, but the apple cider one was DELICIOUS. Donut was sweet (not too sweet), was super soft and fluffy (not dense), and the cinnamon sugar thoroughly coated the donut. I have been to Monuts several times and love the local feel of dining there. There aren't that many service interactions as a lot of it is serve yourself after you order at the counter. This most recent visit I was disappointed compared to past visits due to the extended wait time for our food even though it wasn't as busy as I've seen it in the past. The bagel sandwich I ordered also was quite small for the price point and the bagels were over toasted to the point it was unpleasant to eat. I had a really bad experience today. I went in to purchase donuts. The sales person did not know what a jelly donut or a glazed donut was; in fact, she seemed to not know anything at all. She never actually spoke, she only knows how to mumble to herself. Five times I asked her to speak with, and each time she continued to mumble. I then asked several times if she could get a supervisor. For about seven times she ignored me, and only I raised my voice did she go into the kitchen, supposedly to find a supervisor. I waited about ten minutes and neither she nor the supervisor showed up, so I left. On top of that, their selection of donuts was very limited. And when you get a dozen donuts (or pastries and donuts combined), there is a discount. This time round we had apple cider donuts (standard and good), cranberry earl-grey donuts (one of the day's specials), and ginger hibiscus donut (another special). They were all good! We also had raspberry jam scones - delightful texture on the outside, full of jam on the inside - good, but very sweet, and not really a scone. More of a jam tart. And of course, we got a couple of the cinnamon buns -- they have a lot of sugar on them, but they're delicious. But what makes Monuts exceptional is really the donuts - both the unusual flavors (which are always changing) and the texture (crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside). It's clear that they really work hard at this, and the results are exceptional. I think they open at 7:00 am, and often there's a line at that hour. I selected the everything bagel w/ bacon and white cheddar. The bagel itself was decent, but what I appreciated most was the quality of the bacon on the bagel. Outside of their regular menu they also have a case filled with bake goods - it was difficult to pick just one thing because it all looked so good. Ultimately I went with the peach bun and let me tell you, it was delicious. I also got their iced chai latte but it was nothing to write home about - probably would skip next time. I ended up ordering half a dozen donuts, and I thought they were absolutely delicious. The donuts are rich and tasty with some unique flavors. I really liked the earl gray flavor. The half dozen donuts cost about $14-$15 dollars, so it's definitely a little bit more on the "treat-yo-self" spectrum. In terms of seating, they have a good number of tables indoors. In addition to donuts, they have soups, quiche, salads and sandwiches. I went basic and ordered a bacon, egg and cheese on a plain bagel. The hubs went adventurous and ordered the Ooey Gooey Gouda which is your choice of bagel, roasted heirloom tomato jam, applewood smoked bacon, farm egg (prepared to your liking) and melty gouda cheese. He felt the tomato jam was good but was missing something but couldn't quite pinpoint what that something was. lol All in all, we both really enjoyed our sandwiches and will definitely be back to try other menu items. read more
