The technicians found small problems and fixed them with expensive fixes. One toilet needed a replacement shut off value and the whole toilet was replaced. The pipe into the house from the outside faucet was suppose to be sealed with caulk and it was never done. The front outside faucet had a leak when the faucet was turned on as the sole problem. Copper piping replaced that was fine and leaking faucet is still leaking. New toilet, four replacement faucets and some piping work on the outside faucets ran to almost $9000. read more

I understand tough jobs come up and as a physician trying to juggle OR time and patients in clinic I know can't always be on time. They came to do a plumbing test after GL Hunt did foundation repairs. They did not run the test properly but said I had a leak. Offered to find the leak for$550. Had another plumber come. He ran the camera to find the leak. No leak. Then when I told him how they ran the test he said they didn't run it right. Explained how it should have been done. Our plumber Ian had such a great attitude and was very professional. We had a big plumbing situation at my San Antonio house the day after Christmas with two toilets and showers that were clogged and spilling water everywhere. However, I was able to leave 2 messages last week and no return call. I went on-line parkerandsonsplumbingllc.com and found another number 512-382-7034 which also goes to voicemail and its full. I have not done business with them, but I won't after trying to reach them for 2 weeks, only because my foundation guys referred them to me. *** I would provide 0 stars if possible*** On April 26, 2016, Parker & Sons provided an evaluation & estimate for a leak that was diagnosed as a pressure release valve & requirement of a thermal expansion tank (per code). After the service call, (4/26) I contacted the office to confirm the product material being used would be brass/copper. The front desk receptionist/scheduler, Jennifer, stated she did not know and would have to research & contact me back. When she did, she reported it was made of copper & plastic and provided the brand so I could look up and make my own assessment of the product. Without having any knowledge of the product, I did and could not determine if it was a quality brass product. I called the office on 4/27 and spoke with Jennifer informing her I would like to schedule the appointment but still wasn't settled on the type of product they were using. I asked her if she could have someone call me or if she could further research if a brass product could be used. I informed her if they came to the appointment with a plastic part I would not move forward with the appointment scheduled for 4/29 during 8-11a. She said she would put in her notes & everything would be fine. On 4/29 at 8 a.m. I received a phone call from Jennifer informing me that the brass part would be used and there would be a $60 increase on price for the product. As you can imagine I was upset to hear this news being that I had contacted the office 2 days straight to confirm the product material type well in advance. As I reminded her of this she proceeded to confirm it was her mistake. I asked if she could discuss with her management & see if they would provide a discount or honor the original price based on their error. She spoke with the management & nothing could be done. After discussing with my husband, he spoke with the management and they frankly asked if he was only venting or wanted to cancel? Needless to say being left in a bind we cancelled. This is certainly not the way to work with customers, especially when the error lies on the side of the business. I will never refer Parker & Sons nor would I use them in the future. read more

I was scheduled for an estimate between 10-12. After taking the morning off work and sitting for 2 hours, I called and they told me the window was 10-1. After sitting for another hour, they never showed up and never contacted me to at least let me know they would be late (or not make it). I know you can get busy, but too busy for a call? Parker and Sons did a great job for me in repairing a rusted outdoor gas line, replacing an outdoor faucet, checking out both my AC systems and installing safety switches on both of them in case the condensate drain line ever backed up. Very responsive and quick. Plumbing can be expensive, but this is a case where I got what I paid for. read more

I called asking for an estimate for a water heater replacement. They gave me the morning time window the next day, Anthony and Mike were here first thing. Anthony answered all of my questions, was very knowledgeable and courteous. He gave me what I felt was a fair price on the estimate, I said lets go ahead. I asked if it could be done the same day, he called the office and they gave me the 2 - 5 window. Anthony and Mike showed back up at 2 and had everything done and working within an hour and a half. They were a great team, cleaned up after themselves, were super friendly and even taught me how to drain the water heater to prevent mineral build up. I called Parker & Sons late in the afternoon for our office. I was surprised to receive such prompt service. JW was quick to diagnose the problem. He then went over my options with me. I had no idea that this power flush would be under warranty but, it was! I was thankful that he informed me of this as it would have been a 350.00 part if it was not. He ordered the part for me and had it shipped to our location. Once we received the part, I called to schedule the repair and to my surprise again received same day service. JW returned to our location and finished the needed repair promptly. Towards the end of the visit I had mentioned an upcoming trip I was taking to Chicago. I want to start by saying thank you to this business. I made an appointment via their website. My issue was not an emergency and was not written up as such. Never the less I had a response in my inbox in less than 10 minutes. From who assume is the owner since his last name matches the company name. I made this reservation on a Sunday afternoon (the opening week of the NFL season too!) So I have no doubt in my mind that had it been an emergency that it would have been handled as such. Also, I am overseas and had to set up a specific date and time to have someone at the house to meet them. No problem was the answer I received and they showed up just as promised. Upon arrival they introduced themselves and gave my father a business card. He described them as friendly, professional and clean. My dad is not the easiest person in the world to please so this kind of comment from him means something to me and it should mean something to anyone looking for a plumber. I can say without a doubt that I have found mine. I don't know the name of the gentleman who worked on my house but I want to thank the company for their excellent customer service they definately have my future business. I called Parker & Sons when I had a drainage issue with my toilet and tub. Before they began the work I was told it was 'more than likely' a clogged drain and that they would use the snake to fix. I asked the cost and they said $160. I said okay, as I really needed my 1 and only shower draining properly for my family and newborn baby. After about 20 minutes, one of the men approached me and told me the snake wasn't resolving the issue and that they'd gone well over 6 feet in with the snake and it would take a camera for them to see what they were up against. I asked how much that would be and I got a quote of $300+ for just the camera view, and from there costs would increase based on findings and repairs needed. I declined as I didn't have that kind of money to spend, especially not knowing what they could find and the unknown costs behind it. However, Parker & Sons charged me $60 for nothing. They didn't fix or remedy the issue in any way. A week later, I had a family member (and plumber) come out and fix the issue within 30 minutes. He said it was a clogged drain and used a different tool other than the snake. I could've been swindled out of hundreds of dollars by this company and just thought you should beware... read more

buyer beware. they were called out to do a static line test so that we could transfer a lifetime foundation warranty to a new buyer of the home. they conducted the test and said it failed. they contacted my wife and they said that they needed to run a camera down the line to find the break. they came in a found a "high break" when they pulled the toliet. basically the flange pulled away from drain there was in insert that bypassed the "high break". they proceeded to quote me a $3,749.00 and almost expected me just to sign off. they were going to tunnel under the house, pull permits, hire an engineer, city inspection. when i declined they tried to charge me $450.00 for the call. they did not run a camera, lied and said that they were there for two hours straight to my face and they had only been there an hour and 20 minutes. the job supervisor was a burly man and was insistent that i pay. i settled on $240.00 --- a complete rip-off. they did nothing except the static line test and they made my wife think that the second trip was covered by the $150 she paid the foundation company to transfer the warranty. i have half the mind to sue these people for deceptive trade practices. (by the way.... they missed their appointment and rescheduled for the next day). read more

They came to perform a static test after some foundation work. They had to install a cleanout in the front of the house under our flower bed. The guy I originally talked to said they would dig up the plants and put them back although they couldn't guarantee their survival, and I said that was fine. They didn't dig up the plants and instead trampled them all to death. The guy on the phone was nice enough to issue a refund. Then the guy that came to perform the static test had to remove one of the toilets to do so, and when he did he installed a new wax seal over the wax from the current one which caused wax to spew out from under the toilet on all sides and caused it to leak when you flushed it. My husband and I had to reinstall the toilet after scraping nasty wax off of our floor. It also ruined all the lenolium around our toilet (which we were planning on replacing eventually, just not right this second...so now our bathroom looks even worse than it already did)...the same guy complained when we tried to use a coupon we printed from the company's website. read more

Do not use this company. They were contacted by realtor to repair sprinkler on our vacant house. They never addressed the sprinkler system but claimed there was a leak under the house. They never contacted the realtor or anyone else to verify that line was actually leaking. Because of their shady business practices we could not get a second opinion. So $5000 later we had 6 holes in the sheetrock and tile and the sprinkler is still leaking. Oh yes, They left a 3 foot hole on side of house, completely ruined the insulation in the attic, left insulation strewn around the garage, and ruined the cherry wood floor in one of our bedrooms. Also, the new lines hissed like a snake. After 7-8 calls and two weeks, the owner still never came to the property. I was told by the owner that his tech said the hissing was a broken line on the city side and that his guys told him that they did not scratch the wood floor. I personally was in the property the day they finished and saw no protection on the wood floor. They must have a company writing bogus positive reviews for them. My experience was horrible. Many better plumbing companies. I suggest you find one and avoid Parker and Sons Plumbing. read more
