We got our bunny 2 weeks ago. Her name is Hopscotch and we fell in love. She is so sweet. At only 10 weeks old she is already litter box trained, knows her name and stays very close by. She loves to snuggle and is just the sweetest. I have a 3y old, 4y old, 5y old and she loves to play with them. She immediately got use to our family, the kids and our dog. She is never really in her cage and we give her full range of the house. I highly recommend a bunny or other pet from this company. They have healthy animals and friendly animals. I don't know if their bunnies already come somewhat trained to humans but Hopscotch was basically fine with being held and picked up within hours of coming home. She's been extremely friendly and no behavior problems. read more

The pets at this store are amazing! And the staff is awesome, knowledgeable and patient. They always answer my questions and are eager to help. I own many animals from this store and they take great pride in taking care of them and making sure they are healthy before they go home. Everyone wants to have a good experience as a pet owner, can you imagine bringing home a sick animal and having to deal with it? I really appreciate Jenn and Foo! Sure the store is kind of shut down right now, but it's a small business with not many employees. If they get sick it will put a lot of pets out of food and the care they need. I am sure I'm not the only one who depends on them to supply me with; dubias, super worms, horn worms, feeder rodents, fresh greens, rabbit food, substrate and sooooo much more! I just walked out of Parker Exotic Pet shops pretty disappointed. I called over the phone in advance and was quoted skinny pigs $50.00 a piece. When I got here, I was super excited to see the skinny pigs, I even had this guy look over the genders of the two hairless guinea pigs for me. When he opened the cage, this other lady totally just lost me at "those weren't for sale." Then she told me the real price was $95.00 a piece 2 for $150.00. She showed me the only two that were for sale, these were not skinny pigs. She kept on calling them "regulars, normals," which are literally guinea pigs. Or Santa Barbara skinny pigs. I was totally misled over the phone, with a totally different price and lied about the quantity of their inventory. read more

Went to visit the store today because my Daughter has been saving up for a bearded dragon. The ones they have are baby and ready in a few weeks. The owners were there and attended to my questions. Here is what I observed: 1. They really care about their animals. You can tell in the way they talk about care and concerns. 2. They were super attentive to us. They answered all our questions, they went above and beyond showing us everything we needed to know and explaining the differences. Really recommend this store. read more

Love this place. Very small, not super commercial. Love the two guys at the front counter. Very helpful and always willing to talk to me and my kids for as long as we care to stay. As mentioned staff is rude , unhelpful, and most the pets are already sold , but a good place if you are looking for exotic animal feeder supplies. The bugs etc., don't die 2 days after purchasing or have half the container dead upon opening like at petco / petsmart . We definitely prefer reptile emporium if it's for reptile related needs . They are very helpful and have great selections and healthy pets . This is just closer for us if we are not able to drive all the way out there to their locations . read more

We have been going to this pet store regularly literally since they opened. I was impressed at first but they are rapidly declining! The staff is not friendly anymore at all! One day I stood at the counter waiting for help. The owner walked up to the cash register, didn't greet me or say a word and then walked away and let someone else help me. I was just in there today {for my last time} and again I was standing at the counter while the owner had her back to me, eating lunch and didn't acknowledge my presence. I am a paying customer and they don't act like they care! I go bi-weekly, sometimes weekly. There's a red Jeep parked in the front spot right outside the door EVERY time I go. Not a coincidence. Again .. probably the owner who owns that Jeep. Somebody parks where her paying customers should be parking. Just a couple weeks ago I had to walk through the snow in the parking lot to go give her business. So rude!!!! read more

I went into this store a month ago, for advice on a troublesome Sumatran Red Blood Python. The owner was very friendly and helpful. While I was there she showed me an amazing Russian Rat snake. It was very friendly and very beautiful. A couple of weeks later, I had given up taming down the blood, ( I gave it to a friend's son) and went in to purchase the Russian Rat snake (Way cooler than it sounds...), and again was treated very professionally, by the young man who was there. After another couple of weeks getting my new snake comfy, while I was making my regular trek to buy a feeder, I asked the owner about ideas for a second snake. The owner had the young man show me a piebald Python that they had gotten. It was gorgeous, so I put down a deposit. So, now I am waiting for them to feel comfortable that it is eating and is healthy, and I will come back and pick up my second snake in a month. Don't go anywhere else in the Denver area. They can do anything exotic pet related, and can get anything that you will need. read more

Awful experience. The staff was so incredibly rude. Walked in, stood there and waiting for an extended period of time with no help or even acknowledgment. Dude finally came out of the back and sat down at their little front desk. Stared at us and didn't say anything... so I said "hi, how are you?" Man looks at me and says "what can I do for you?" In an annoyed tone. I asked him for what I needed and he said "we don't have that" to which I glance at the counter and see what I was looking for staring (literally) back at me. I chose to just leave and not support someone like this. There is a better store in Aurora.. found that one on google in the parking lot and drove there. You should do the same. read more

This place was hardly an "exotic" pet store. I was hoping to find something out of the ordinary. So I left with much disappointment. The manager wasn't very friendly and honestly seemed to be bothered by us checking the place out. When we first arrived. We were the only ones in the store until someone stepped out from the back to "watch us". I had to ask for assistance rather than being assisted. Sad to say this is the only thing in the area that I know of. Compared to Texas shops I've frequented.... This place has very little to offer! Not to mention: it wasn't very welcoming! The lady was so rude and awful!!! DONT BUY HERE!!! I was interested in buying a pet chameleon but I didn't really know much about them so I went in to this place to get some information ask questions and potentially buy one. When I get there there was only the one lady working and she was busy talking to someone else so I waited probably 15 minutes. Then she rudely was like "let me see what this little girl needs" (I'm 22). She kept walking away while talking to me to keep having her conversation with the other lady. She was making me extremely uncomfortable because I was not getting the questions I had answered and she was making it very obvious she did not want to talk to or help me. At the same time other people started walking in the store so she told me to leave and go do my own research so that she could help the other people. I'm so very disappointed I was willing to spend a lot of time and a lot of money to get what I was looking for and this lady was rude and unhelpful and unprofessional. I'm glad to have found this store. It's the only store in a very wide radius that sells live reptiles. Appears to be owned/operated by a nice lady who seems to love what she does. I shop here exclusively for reptile food & equipment, but they also cater to bird, small mammal, and (to an extent) fish enthusiasts. Reasonable prices and an impressive reptile supply section that includes some items you can usually only find online (ex. Magnaturals products). The animals for sale appear to be in good health and lively. There are also some mature animals housed here that are on display but not for sale (I imagine they are either rescues and/or the owner's personal pets). A great place to visit with family on a weekend to observe a wide arrangement of species, but please don't forget that it's a business and not a zoo. read more

So I wanted to get my kids either a chinchilla or a sugar glider. And whenever I do an animal I study up on it and want to make sure I can get the best of everything. I am a herpetologist as well and relatively new to Colorado so I need a place where I can get all my stuff including feeders. I called this place four times. Twice the first day figuring they were very busy and I left messages. The next day did the same in the last day I did the same. Apparently they are so successful they don't need to return any phone calls. I figure I would've had to spend about 1000 bucks to get a couple of sugar gliders and all the habitat. I bet you if I walked in there they would've sold me the stuff gladly and there would be no further support from them whatsoever. That is not good! read more

Half of the times I called, it went to voicemail about 3 rings in as if they had declined it. So I decided to just make the 30 minute drive to see if they possibly have what I'm looking for. As soon as I walked in I just didn't feel very welcome... the lady who I assume owns the shop really didn't even bat an eye in my direction. I'm quite an extrovert so I went up to her and just started asking her questions (clearly interested in making purchases and doing further business with her) but she gave being uninterested a whole new meaning. Every single time I haven't walked into the store, the person working the store is always extremely grumpy and rude. they never seem to care to welcome you in or ask if you need help etc. They treat you like an idiot and they are never happy whenever you come in. your job is to welcome customers in, help them as much as you can, and be nice to them. So we found this place and the owner, Jennifer, was very helpful in getting us back on track with the proper lighting, food and a lot of other details we wouldn't have otherwise known. A good selection, but customer service is poor. When we were in there looking for help, a delivery came and the customer service rep dropped us and started putting away things from the delivery. I asked if they had additional sizes in a product and she pointed to where the products were and basically expected me to help myself. You might be in there looking for a $300 Chameleon, but you will get dropped while she sells $3 worth of crickets. If you are willing to help yourself, this place would be good. read more

The store has excellent exotic pet products -- some items I have only been able to find online previously. There was a good variety of quality reptile and bird food, in addition to feeders and fresh salads. The live reptiles, amphibians, birds, and small mammals all looked to be in good health, alert, and active. I was very impressed and will definitely return in the future! read more
