Left with a very unsatisfactory experience with this company personnel. Was essentially told they would not do business with me and would report me to Home Depot. Do not recommend. Called Home Depot and requested another company, Lincoln Electric Door and from the very first contact, was pleasantly welcomed and immediately felt my business was valuable and appreciated. The first point of contact knew exactly what we needed and was very, very accommodating unlike our prior experience with the other contacted company noted above. The installer was even early as the desk person said he may be. He was very efficient, quick in and out in a total of under 45 minutes, cleaned up well, did high quality work, and was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions and concerns. He didn't mind at all! I'm recommending them to everyone, and that they are based 40+ miles away and still took my installation job without even a hesitation on distance. Two years ago we had to replace our old garage door opener. Not knowing exactly who to go through we went to Home Depot and purchased the opener ourselves and then used their installation services. They were contracted with Parker and sent out their guy for installation who was very polite and quick to install our new opener. Upon leaving he said if we ever needed any maintenance or our other garage door opener replaced to call them direct to cut out the middle man. Here we are two years later and our other door opener needed to be replaced as well. Over 20 years old. This service guy wanted to charge us more than double what we paid at Home Depot for the new opener and then charge us more than double what Home Depot charged for installation. After all was said and done, they were going to charge us over a $1000 to replace the door opener. Knowing we could get it for a fraction of the cost we politely declined to use their services. Upon telling him this he told us there would be a $95 fee for him coming out and "recommending" we replace our opener. Like we hadn't already known it needed to be replaced cause we'd had the same exact issue with our other one two years prior. Nor did their customer service tell us there would be a $95 trip charge for their guy to recommend something we were already aware of. Needless to say, Home Depot got our business again. read more

Now I don't care about the savings aspects, I only like to support businesses that support our veterans. I was told they do offer a discount, and to reinforce my statement above, I didn't even ask what it was, since it's not important to me. Well Parker shows up today and you'll never guess what they don't offer. The tech apologizes for the miscommunication, which wasn't his fault at all. Beware this scam of a company. Highly doubt anyone from this "company" will respond, but just in case they do. I'm not looking for a discount, for you to make it right or even offer an apology for being a disloyal company. I had this company out to fix the springs on my garage door back in June 15, 2016. They came out and up-sale me a new motor on my garage door. They acted like I was getting a huge deal for $700 for both items. They said oh we are giving you the best motor there is. Acting like a huge deal. I just got my garage door itself replaced by a different company who replaced the springs as standard part of changing out the door. The springs this company replaced look all bunched up and the new ones are not. Not only that I just paid $900 for the entire door when this company charged $700 for nothing basically. I had another company out who looked at my Motor and said for $20 extra I could have had wifi in the motor. Our garage door coil broke out of nowhere. I found Parker Garage Doors & More when I searched "Garage door repair" in my Maps app. They had me on the schedule the same day, Dylan arrived (after calling and letting me know he would be by in about 15 min) around 1:30. He was cordial, explained how things worked and why my coil broke, and had it fixed within 20 minutes. He was very kind, as I had a meeting for work and couldn't come back out to finish things up with him. He wrote up my ticket before he got to work, took my payment, gave me my invoice, and when the work was complete, he sent me a video to prove it was functioning (after texting me so that he wouldn't disturb my meeting). Beware! Called to ask them to come out to fix a busted spring on my garage door. Had an appointment scheduled for two days later. The tech showed up and within two minutes said they don't service interior springs but we could install a whole new unit for $800. We politely declined considering this repair is roughly half that cost. We were still charged a trip charge. We immediately called the company to speak with the office manager to suggest that their scheduler ask a simple question before making appointments. This would have saved them a trip and us a bogus trip charge. The manager spent over 10 minutes explaining how that's not a good suggestion. A complete bait-and-switch. No apology, no refund. What a disaster. These guys are horrible. You have many choices. Stay away from this one. You won't be happy with the result and at that point you will be dealing with a sales manager who talks over you and has little interest in resolving your issue. They know they will probably never hear from you again ( how often do garage door openers go bad) and they treat you that way.
