His detailed 55 page report, with text and photos, listed what was in good shape (his term is "serviceable"), what needed fixing, and what should be looked at further. It was a roadmap for making a sturdy old boat ready for sea and fit for the 350 mile trip from San Francisco Bay to its new home in Southern California.
