Notably, there were excessively long response times when she activated her call light. On one occasion, she required assistance to use the bathroom, but the nurse turned off the light and instructed her to "hold it." According to her doctor's orders, she was supposed to receive a straight catheterization each night, but this procedure was not consistently performed. This inconsistency likely contributed to her fall, which resulted in a broken leg in April 2024. That night, she pressed the call light for help ambulating to the bathroom. However, the staff did not respond in a timely manner. She attempted to ambulate to the bathroom on her own, resulting in her falling and breaking her leg. She is now undergoing her second surgery on the same leg. Additionally, my mother wears an insulin pump, which effectively controls her blood sugar levels. However, the staff wanted to remove the pump, possibly because they were unfamiliar with its operation. As a result, she was off the pump for a week, during which her blood sugar levels soared to 587. Despite my repeated requests for her high blood sugar to be treated, the staff insisted they needed a doctor's order, which they were unable to obtain. They informed me that if her blood sugar reached 600, they would send her back to the hospital. I couldn't understand why they couldn't administer insulin immediately. Deeply concerned for her health and the healing of her leg, I decided to reinstate the pump myself. While she had a Foley catheter, it was poorly maintained.One time I found her night bag hanging in the bathroom with the tubing in the toilet and the bag full of urine, leaving her room with a strong odor. An aide even commented to my mother that her urine smelled, which I found to be an example of poor patient care. One of the final incidents occurred when she had an appointment with her endocrinologist, who prescribed insulin for emergencies-only in case the pump malfunctioned. A few days later, my mother called me at night, saying someone had administered insulin to her. I was alarmed--this could have been life-threatening, as she was already receiving insulin via the pump, which was functioning just fine. I am writing this not only for my mother but also for all the other patients who may not have someone to advocate for them or who cannot speak up for themselves. Our seniors deserve better care.

When we are at work we are comfortable knowing our loved-one is at Acacia Place Adult Day Care Center. Out anxiety levels are much diminished.

Well they have had thee very BEST life...and when they were no longer able to live alone I needed a place that was comparable to the FIRST CLASS style of living that they were accustomed to...WELL MAPLERIDGE HAS BEEN OUR SAVING GRACE...from the very home Iike atmosphere to the extremely caring staff that have looked out for my parents like they were their own to the most beautiful grounds ever...The food is delicious and menus vary..and by Farrrrr the ACTIVITIES ARE AMAZING...FIELD TRIPS TO RESTAURANTS ...BOAT TRIPS...BARBECUES...I LOVE PLACE...my Dad passed April 23...one of the worst days of my life...MAPLERIDGE has buffered the blow for my mom and I...they have loved on us so much that my mom will remain here and we will continue to thrive...I LOVE U MAPLERIDGE

The place is gorgeous and members are put first it seems most of the time. They even have a…read morerestaurant for members to dine in and a bar! I used to work at the restaurant called radius and sometimes in the bistro. As a waitress. At first it was great money and the hardest part was remembering the members names and preferences. But, there are many cons to working there and for me they eventually outweighed the pros. The schedule you are given isn't really up for debate. There are so few servers that they absolutely need you and no one can cover when you are sick really. Which sucks for the rest of the servers left there because then things get hectic. Also, you pretty much can expect to be forced to work Sunday mornings, Christmas, Easter and thanksgiving. Even if I absolutely had to call off they really didn't take no for an answer. My biggest problem is corporate. They have no idea how a restaurant runs and how many employees you need or how to pay them. Many times my check was messed up and they ended up blaming it on us saying we didn't keep track of our tips right so we owed them money. I was forced to give them $900 at one point. They also ended up taking away tips because we were making too much money. So now it's hourly. My thought process was, if they expect me to work holidays (which are the busiest ever. So hectic.) I'd like to be tipped. I got very unmotivated because I used to make so much money on holidays and now that they pay hourly i was doing 20 times more work for the same pay. I also noticed my pay check never seemed to add up to the hourly they said they were paying me. I swear it was minimum wage. They ended up messing up my check 3 times and I said I would quit after the 3rd time. And that's what I did. Besides that the food there is great lol

A lovely in-house Theatre, exquisite Chapel, grand Ballroom and all of the suites are being renovated! Here for the play, Love Letters, they provided a beautiful refreshment spread of hot and cold appetizers and scrumptious desserts... Oh and WINE! We shall return for a proper tour as thus is most definitely the Place of the esteemed Cleveland in their elder years .. save up though... it is a Class within itself!

I'm disappointed that Judson Manor has not been able to provide the number of aides that my parents…read moreneed, even though they promised to do so. They dining plan is also less than promised, with whole 3 day weekends with only box lunches available because they were unable to staff the kitchen. Unacceptable for the $$$ price.
