Wait time is forever if you're a walk in, and a bit longer than I'd like with an appointment. Dr. Amin is a crapshoot; though he seems to maintain the same level of professionalism and accuracy, he's not always the same level of "nice," if that matters to you. He's never been rude, just sometimes dismissive. He does look over your file prior to seeing you if you've been there before. Finally, this is a teaching clinic; you may have to share information with med students. They'll tell you as soon as they enter the room. This might sound like a minus, but they're not quite jaded yet and it shows in their level of attentiveness and desire to provide quality patient care. Some students are smarter than others, but all provide at least adequate care, and you'll talk with Dr. Amin as soon as they're done screening you for him.

Straight up rude to me and my mother. Told my mother to stop making excuses for me and to lose 100 pounds and I'm cured. Mind you I've worked so long just to lose 50lbs, I have medical problems that doesn't help me lose weight. Yes, I'm a heavy-set person but I am trying. Thus he said "either you choose to lose your kidneys with medication, or you be sleepy all day with injections." He said "you are 17 almost 18, 'I wouldn't give that to my OWN daughter," IS YOUR DAUGHTER IN CHRONIC PAIN EVERYDAY, UNABLE TO SLEEP FOR DAYS BECAUSE OF PAIN?.. I was told my back injury was because I was too fat and should be back to normal in a week. The Newport doctor spent 10 minutes on me and pushed me out the door. Well, two weeks after that I was still in excruciating pain and was unable to walk. After that I went to Dr. Legome's office. He did a thorough exam that took around 30 minutes, and after he was certain I had herniated disc. He said that I would need an epidural and ordered an MRI to make sure of the location that I needed to be injected. The MRI came back and sure enough I had a herniated disc that was causing the trouble. I had an epidural and got relief, and subsequently Dr Legome has had me doing exercises that have been helping improve my ability to walk and move around. I think Dr Legome is a godsend, and I appreciate the time he spends making accurate and intelligent diagnoses. I will be a patient of his for a long time I'm sure, and I would recommend him to anyone with back issues.
