The staff REFUSED TO READ THE AUTH. They had to go back to the VA which took months. Diagnostics are preauthorized. The staff refused to look for it and in the end got several letters telling them it was preauthorized. This was early OCTOBER! End result, I did not get the MRI until Feb or March! WTF! So their being lazy denied me care for five to six months. The Dr. requested PRT plasma rich therapy. It was aproved. AWESOME! Again their staff didn't have it, I had to download my records and send it to them and call the VA to resend it. No problem right? WRONG! I can hardly walk by then and its only gotten worse now. The Dr only gives me steroid injections that no longer work. Whats the point? Last visit, I say good news, and ask, "So what is the treatment plan?" \ She begins ranting, when I bring up the PRT, "The VA authorized it, but they won't pay it...they won't pay what its worth." WTF? You have an auth and a contract. She now says, "Amniotic therapy is what I want to do, but you have to pay for it. Because the VA won't!" WTF! She had an auth that was aproved and now she doesn't want to do it and wants to do something that is not and that insurance won't cover to be paid under the table. That is highly questionable. I again ask, "What is the treatment plan." Again she rants, "I ordered braces and that which you will have to pay for....thats the plan." To date there have been no requests for braces and no request for additional care. At the conclusion of that apt, I ask, "So how long before a followup" she replies, "As needed" that is not an answer. Since steroids no longer work and there are no requests for braces or other care. So she is doing unethical practices in my book. Buyer Beware! I have reported them to the inspector general and they are now very interested.

My primary concern was dismissed by the doctor in the first 5 min. He asked to see my skin and told me he has the same type of moles on his skin, his moles were bigger, and that they aren't connected to anything hormonal, which was my concern. This is when I should have left, since he either didn't take me seriously or didn't know how to help me with that and just couldn't admit it. Then he took my pulse and literally accused me of trying to slow down my pulse. "It was normal but then you tried to slow it down." Uhh.. what??? It made me feel belittled, again. I'm a harsh no nonsense reviewer and I've given more bad reviews than good. I've been here 3 times and would give them 10 stars if I could. Doctor: Have seen about 5 different podiatrist in the past 5 years. By a mile, Dr. Boykins is the best. He genuinely cares for his patients and it shows in his outstanding bedside manner. He loves his job and taking care of people, unlike the other jerk Doctor that I went to in Moreno Valley. Dr. Boykins is very thorough in examining you and getting a full medical history and doesn't mind spending extra time with you to listen to you, which is something you hardly see in any other doctors these days. He's very calm, relaxed, and makes you feel he values your opinion and welcomes questions. Dr. Boykins is also a surgeon and it's a rarity to find the expertise and kindness in a doctor. Staff: Staff are personal, very polite, and treat you like family. After putting you in the office, they come in a little later and ask if you need anything like water, etc. It's like going to a health spa and being pampered. Also a rarity, they help you put your socks and shoes back on which was a complete shock. Other doctor's just walk out of the office and let you fend for yourself. When you call they answer the phone politely and call you back to get you an answer to your question. Appointment scheduling: No issues with appointment scheduling 30 days out and they found an available slot the week after 1st appointment to come back in for further diagnostic tests. To give you perspective, when you go to McDonald's, you spend 10 minutes to order and eat. When you go to a 5 star Michelin rated restaurant, you're going to spend an hour enjoying the best services. Since the doctor and staff spends extra time taking care of patients, sometimes appointment time runs later and get pushed back. I have 1 other doctor that does this also and it's because they spend extra time with the patient because they are really good doctor also. When you book your appointment, keep this in mind that you may be leaving later and plan accordingly. Parking: The office entrance is facing the charter school not the taco bell. In front of the entrance the parking is more busy there but there's no handicap spots in front of the door. You have to go to the south side of the building where there's plenty of handicap spots all congregated together for the whole building. Billing: They take anthem blue cross PPO and have had no issues with billing. I read other reviews that say that you have to put a deposit for appointments but in the three visits so far, never have been asked for money or to book an appointment. As always, things might change and I'll update the review if needed.
