Kirk, the owner, noticed my Bellingham Technical College sweatshirt and our Washington plates, and it turned out he and his family are from Bellingham too! Before long, we were chatting with him and the local guys at the center table -- all proud, saluted veterans (including Kirk)-- and having a lively, fun conversation. It felt like more than just a meal; it felt like a visit with old friends. If you're passing through, take the time to stop -- you'll be glad you did!
