I chose this place to have a dress cleaned because of yelp reviews. I showed the older lady a stain on the dress and she said, "we'll take care of it" . When I go pick up item, the stain is still there. Now the older man, who is the owner, is there. He says their work is not guaranteed, which makes sense but is not what I was told when I dropped of item. He was very rude, very loud, began yelling, he asked why everyone was complaining about the work... He said many people were unhappy with the clothes and he was gonna fire someone until he realized his wife accepted the item and said .."well I can't fire her..." finally much back and forth agreed to $20 discount..and while still yelling declared, " that's it! I'm done." Even if item wasn't able to be completely cleaned, placing it backwards and trying to hide the stain is not the way to handle the situation. The owner has no business dealing with customers as he lacks any sort of customer service skills. read more

I needed a dress altered but was hoping to find someone who could do in one day or same day. I actually found Parklane Cleaners through Yelp. We just moved here and I wasn't really considering if it was close to me or not. I called pretty early and the phone rang a couple of times, I hung up. A minute later, the owner called back. I am so glad he did. He asked me to come by at 10a but with three little kids home I didn't arrive until 11a, and missed his wife (seamstress). He called her and we FaceTime'd. She said to come back in the morning. These people are so warm and welcoming. Just so pleasant to work with. The next day as she was pinning my alterations, I could watch their interactions with their other customers. She had my dress done perfectly within the hour! This is just another reason why we moved from the Bay Area. Genuinely nice people. I will continue to bring my business here without a doubt. read more

RIP OFF, RIP OFF, RIP OFF! They should change the name of this place to Rip Off City. Look, I have a Cleaners that I go to regularly in Santa Clara. It just so happens that I live here now but still work over there. I have a Christmas party to go to on Friday and the Vest, which goes to a Suite, has some buttons that were loose. I thought since this place has good reviews I would drop it off and pick it up on Thursday since it's only buttons which I need to have sewed back on. I spoke to some guy, probably the owner, and he asked me if this was brand new, and of course it is not. He asked if I had worn it, well of course I have as it's not brand new. So he said he has to clean it first before sewing the buttons. Really? Are you serious? II told him wait, it's not dirty, I just need like three buttons secured so they won't become looser than what they are. He tried to tell me that it's a State Law that they have to clean the item first. BS! BS! BS! I've taken items to my Cleaners in the Bay Area and they "will ask" if "I would like to have it cleaned" but never have I've been told what this person told me. You should have seen me run out of that place. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. On my way back home I passed by another Cleaners and decided to stop. I told the lady what needs to be done, she asked "just the buttons and no cleaning right"? I said yes, she said okay. And that was that. I know Manteca may be limited in choices, but this place is ripping people off. I will never....never, ever, ever.....go here again. And the majority of my clothes are "always" dry cleaned. I've been bringing my uniforms here for years and love the service. Good, honest people running a small business the way it should be ran. Today I picked up a set of uniforms and dropped off three. Attached to the clean uniform was an envelope with $4.00 in it that I must have left in the pocket. Seeing as how I did not even know the money was there, I would not have known if it was never returned. I know it is not a ton of money but it is the principle of the matter. I'm on the fence about this place.. They are the first and only cleaners I have been to in Manteca, CA. They charged me $76 to clean 5 of my husbands suit coats and have them ready the next afternoon. A little pricey if you ask me! Great place! Took my 1930's wedding dress in at last minute to be pressed. Was extremely wrinkled, which my bridal shop promised to take out and didn't. When I need things done quick and efficient, go to Parklane Cleaners. The customer service is EXCELLENT. The staff is also excellent, friendly & efficient. Rolan and Helen always make sure everything is handled perfectly when I call in with a special request. There are other dry cleaners in Lathrop but everything I need is offered at Parklane Cleaners, including tailoring, mending, great washing, dry cleaning...and I cannot stress enough, they care about me as a customer. That is number one most important to me, the CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXCELLENT!!! They will do whatever it takes to make his customers happy. I have had emergency's where I needed something cleaned and back within a couple of hours, and its been done. NO NEED TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE. I had a pair of wool pants that I'd spilled cranberry juice on. They were pretty expensive and went to a suit so I wanted to try to salvage them. I tried Parklane since it was close to my other weekly errands. The stain were completely gone when I picked up the pants. Prices were good about 6.00. I've only been to Parklane Cleaners a couple times but I'm loving it so far. My clothes always come back nice and neat. I take a lot of button down shirts and they feel great when I get them back. The last dry cleaners I went to must've used cheap stuff because my shirts were very stiff and were always getting worn down and ripping. This is not the case with Parklane. It is a bit pricier but you get what you pay for. read more

Don't know about what kind of work they do. I'm just going off customer service. I called around 3pm today to ask what the turn around time would be for a dress I needed hemmed if I dropped it off today. I was told next Wednesday. I then asked how much they charge. The person over the phone said that the woman that could tell me would be in tomorrow between 1030-3. I asked again just to clarify that if I dropped it off today if it would for sure be ready by Wednesday. The woman told me yes. So I said I would be over shortly. When I got to the business I came in with heels and dress in hand. Ready to throw it on to have the measurements done. I'm assuming the same woman that answered the phone was the one greeting me the front. I explained what I needed and by when. She then asked me if I knew how many inches I needed off. I told her no. That's why I brought my heels. She then says that the seamstress wasn't in and she's the only one that would be able to take my measurements. That would've be very useful information to have before I left the house and wasted my time. She asked if I could come back tomorrow morning. I sure can, but I won't. I had the worst experience here with the owner, he was so rude and unprofessional!! I called on a Wednesday night right before they close and I asked the girl who answered the phone how long would it take for my clothes to be ready if I dropped them off next day in the morning, I told her I need it by Saturday, she said "they'll be ready by Friday afternoon" I said perfect I'll be there first thing in the morning which I was.. when I got there Thursday morning the owner greeted me and asked me when did I need my clothes to be ready by I said Saturday , he said something about the machines not running on Saturday and so he continue it would be ready by tomorrow Friday after 4 and we charge $2 for next day service, I was like "the girl o spoke with didn't mention that" he said something about how they don't provide that type of information over the phone, anyway I really need my husband suit and couple shirts done so I was like ok it's fine, but doing the math it was $2 extra per item so it was going to be really expensive so I called my husband to ask if he really need it everything to be dried clean and explaining to him how expensive it was going to be so my husband said just the shirt and pants it's fine , by then the owner had hear my talking about calling the place expensive so he said "if you thing is expensive maybe you should go somewhere else" and I told him well it is expensive for a shirt and a pair of pants it was going to be $18 and also told him "you should tell you employees to give the right informaron over the phone, about how there was going to be an extra charge" she never mention anything like that and I felt I was getting ripped off, so he said "just grad you stuff and go" in the rudest tone , I was in shock but also told him "you are getting a review from me " of course he didn't care.. so I went somewhere else where I only paid $10.50 for a shirt and a pair of pants on a next day service and not only that, the lady was super sweet and professional, I told her " I need it by Saturday" she said "don't worry you can pick it up anytime after 4pm on Friday" what a difference !! By the way this place is located in the corner of main st and center, right in front of Wells Fargo, take your business there, or anywhere where else perhaps where you won't get ripped off and they appreciate you and your business !! read more
