This a poorly run business and I do NOT recommend. They close in the middle of the day for lunch, yet the employees were sitting inside while customers were outside waiting. I had to keep knocking because I needed to pick up my suit for an event and was on a tight schedule. On top of that, the customer service was rude, and the alteration I received didn't meet my expectations especially for the price they charge. Between the high prices, disappointing quality, and lack of professionalism, I won't be coming back. There are plenty of other dry cleaners that provide better service and value. read more

Terrible alteration job. Had my jeans hemmed and the quality of the stitch is terrible! She did a measurement and made it too long and I wanted it shorter so I moved the pins we both agreed. When I got my jeans back it's still too long and one leg is shorter than the other. read more

I've been a longstanding customer at Park Avenue Cleaners in Manteca, but no longer. Two $100 monogrammed dress shirts were tainted by something yellow-and four attempts were made to clean them. I was told a report would have to be made for restitution. The whole experience involved poor communication. I was given a check for half the value of the $186 I paid to replace them (working hard for a discount on the shirts). I was given a check for $85 and offered $15 in store credit "to retain my business." I thought it was a mistake, and delayed accepting it. Business law says if you accept a partial payment, it is consent to Paid In Full. That was it, take it or leave it. I asked for at least $50 store credit to retain my business, and the owner Manani said no. She said anything I would bring in such as a new suit they would only be responsible for half of the value, as "second hand" value. I only bring in my own GOOD clothes. I do my own laundry at home - but I entrust my good clothes to be professionally cleaned. Only bring your second hand clothes to Park Cleaners. They don't have insurance to cover their business mistakes. I am looking for a new dry cleaner - and instead of driving to the absolute furthest from my house because I have always enjoyed good work done ... I'm shopping for a new business to trust. Just purchased a very expensive comforter. It says on the tag for dry cleaning only so I brought it into them. And for $45 I thought it was expensive. But hey, when I picked it up I would have expected a nice job. It is as wrinkle as it can be, shrunk, it flatten down and whatever was inside the comforter it all clumped together. They are ok...but one of the girls there chews really big wads of gum that she can't even talk. Not very professional, I am afraid the wad might fall into my husbands dress shirts! Minus 0.5 stars!!! the other girl there is really nice, personable, professional and great! Plus 2 stars!!! The reason I am giving this place two stars is because I think they cheat you. They have advertised that its $1.25 for launder/press ANY GARMENT. Well I always take my husbands dress shirts...this time I took 5 of my dress shirts that I use for work...and they charged me more!! It's supposedly $2 per women's blouses. If I see a sign adverstising $1.25 ANY GARMENT you would thing its both men and women's shirts. Minus 1.5 stars! On top of tat I was looking at previous receipts and they didn't charge me $1.25 ...they ADDED a 'ESC' I asked what that was and they said it was 'an extra service charge' and I said for WHAT????? And the big wad of gum girl said it was for detergents and special disposal.... hmmm... I don't like their mis-adverstising. I brought in 34 shirts, and was told they would be ready in three days. Three days later, I came back, and they had 24 shirts for me. Someone had crossed out the 3, and replaced it with a 2. The lady said "we miscounted ... it was only 24 shirts". I politely told her that the worker and I BOTH counted out 34 shirts: three piles of 10, and one pile of 4. She said to come back in a few days, so she can talk to the employee. I came back, and the same lady insisted that there were only 24 shirts turned in. I gently insisted that we both counted 34 shirts, and all she would respond with was "it was 24 shirts". Wow, what a racket!! Any time you want to steal customer's clothing, simply cross out a number on a ticket and replace it with whatever number you feel like!! I'm not as much peeved that they lost my shirts, but that they won't own up to it, merely blaming it "a miscount". And then, they didn't even offer to refund me for the 10 missing shirts!! I guess we'll be following up in small claims court. read more

Time and again i gave these folks second chances to do better. There are only two dry cleaners in Manteca, and this one was close to my house is why so many second chances. Here are my issues: 1) Shirts are routinely wrinkled 2) Lost one (1) shirt recently 3) Someone else "lost shirt" ended up in my bundle and i returned it 4) When filing a claim for a lost shirt, it took six (6) weeks to reimburse me for $25 (the manager suggested i had purchased it at Costco, but my shirts were actually purchased at the Mens Warehouse for double that - it was a new shirt. Had i not brought up the issue regularly, it would have never been resolved. Six weeks is a long time and at one point they claimed they needed my home address (i did not provide) so they could mail me a check. in the end, they simply subtracted $25 from my next bill 5) Recently, on a new shirt, i found a significant bleach stain on the front of my shirt. Since i discovered at home and not "on site" then no claim was made. I just threw away a $50 shirt. 6) Today, i inspect my shirts and wrinkly as usual. In the arms, arm pits and vertical wrinkles in front. 7) Last time i spoke to the manager on the phone and told her she had a serious quality control issue and that if it happened again, they've lost a 3 year customer. Now i am about to try the cleaners on the other side of town to see if maybe someone there is not asleep at the wheel and actually gives a damn. read more

NEVER EVER take your wedding dress here to be cleaned. My wedding was outdoors so afterwards it needed cleaned. I stopped by with my dress it to get a price for cleaning and was shocked with what they said. An older lady and man (possibly the owners) helped me. They told me that it would cost around $275. That was only to clean not to preserve or box it. My dress had a rhinestone, crystal and pearl detailing on one shoulder and their employees told me they would have to take that off to clean it. I tried to explain that this was individual hand beading that couldn't just be taken off. She told me not to worry she would take a picture hah! I once again tried explaining that wasn't an applicae that couldn't just be taken off and put back on. Needless to say I refused to leave my wedding dress with them. They are cleaners not wedding dress designers. I wouldn't advise anyone to leave their wedding dress with them. I would recommend taking them to the cleaner in downtown Stockton called Riteway Cleaners. They did not remove anything from the dress and they charged $75. **NEVER AGAIN** I had my dress dry cleaned by Park Avenue Cleaners. When I picked it up, the dress was missing the belt and 2 buttons on 2 different areas of the dress. It took them two weeks to find my belt and would not replace the buttons as they said they are not responsible for any damages to my dress. They did not offer me a refund. They did not offer to credit me. When I requested to speak to a manager they me a phone number and the manager never returned my call. I WILL NEVER USE THEIR SERVICE AGAIN. read more

Incompetence at its best!! How hard is it to get extra starch (military starch) in dress shirts? Apparently very hard! 2nd time sent back. Now I'm on my 3rd time picking them up. Also, hard to put a crease in a pair of pants?? Apparently so. They pressed them flat. I could of done that myself!! On to the sweater...wanted it dry cleaned. They laundered it!! Accck!!! Completely unacceptable, I just Graduated from boot camp and one of our responsibilities is to have our Uniforms done and properly cleaned. I came 30 minutes before to pick up my uniform because usually it takes them 2 days to have it finished when initially I hear that it took 1 day. I still took the chance because I personally just assumed that there wouldn't be that much of a big deal. When I came to grab my uniform the last day before my flight they closed early and now I ended up having to call the USO, Southwest, My Duty station to embarrassingly tell them that I did not have my Uniform to check in with. For my Fellow Marines and servicemen and women, i wouldn't take your attire here just because all 4 of their individual store numbers DID NOT work, their company number did not work and on top of that i left a note right between the door and their inside of the store. The next day I checked the store to see a "not open on Monday" Sign which means they ignored my note and placed their sign knowing about my note and all they had to do was call my number and I would of been there about the time they set up the sign. The Carelessness, the other bad reviews, the disrespectful intention and the amount of stress I just had to go through I do not want anyone else to go through. Save yourself the trouble be humbled by the experience I went through and continue on to another dry cleaners. For fellow military use your time and money where it is appreciated. After trying two other cleaners in town, we finally found a solid performer. The others were nice, but EXPEN$$IVE. Park Avenue charges about HALF of what the others do. And they are on time, do what they say, and do a nice job. If you want to make a business owner rich, try the other cleaners (in downtown area of Manteca). If I could give these guys a 0 I would. I just moved to Manteca and was looking for somewhere close to home to alter my new dress shirts. Not only are these guys pricey but I was promised my shirts would be ready. I gave them my 2 shirts 7/13 and I asked "would these be done by Monday the 18th." They said give them until Tuesday morning. I said "fine. As long as it's done on Tuesday. It is imperative that they are done because I start new job." They assured me Tuesday. Here we are Tuesday 7/19 and 1 shirt was not done. Apparently, an "emergency" happened. I was not warned. They refused to even give me a discount. I am so disappointed and upset. I am just going to go back to my tailor out in Modesto. He gets the job done in a timely fashion and is around the same pricing. Today was the second time they tried to cheat me on price. The first time I passed off as possibly an honest mistake. The first time I bought in about 30 shirts. The price in the window said ANY shirt $1.25. She counts them up and tells me it will be $97. I challenged her. She said the higher price was for dry cleaning and these shirts needed dry cleaning. I pointed out all but one of the shirts was either all cotton or a cotton rayon blend and none were expensive shirts. She then went through them one by one and found one silk shirt that needed dry cleaning. The rest just laundry. So I ended up paying about $40. I've been back several times. Today I went in and noticed on the window they had raised their price to $1.40 a shirt. OK. Prices do go up. She gives me a total at $1.50 each. Now I knew the first mistake 2 months ago wasn't a mistake after all. I asked why $1.50 when the window sign says $1.40. She said the shirts need a special chemical. I pointed out they were the same shirts that didn't need a special chemical before. She refused to honor the window sign that says ANY shirt $1.40 so I walked out. Don't go there unless you can do math in your head. read more

First time in for my designer dress and they ruined the fabric, shrunk it, and put two deep wrinkle lines across the front. They promised the manager would fix it. I was curious as to how they were going to stretch it so left it. Came back and it was exactly the same. The clerk called the manager on the phone and she said to leave it again and I did. Came back the third time and pointed out the two wrinkles they created were still there. I tried the dress on in the dressing room and of course it didn't fit. I left the dress again, informing them that this is a new dress and wanting them to compensate me for it. They were supposed to call me today and of course they didn't. My wife took my sons JROTC uniform there to be cleaned and had them put a rush on it to get it done for the next day to be picked up in the after noon. Long story short we ended up getting th uniform when they closed. The girl that worked their admitted that she screwed up and i am glad she was honest. Once all my girls were getting ready to try them on one last time before the wedding we noticed everyone got the wrong dress!!! They mixed them all up and give them to the wrong girls and cut most of them wrong and crooked. So unprofessional especially since it was a wedding! Also my mom took in some jeans to get cut and get a zipper fixed & they gave them back to her without fitting them!!!! I brought drapes in for hemming and cleaning on a Monday. She said that they would be finished that Saturday. Went in that Saturday and weren't finished. She didn't know when they'd be done. Went in the next Monday and she said they would call me when they were done. Went in late afternoon that Sat. Finally finished, but received no call. The hemming job was atrocious. Will not recommend this place to anyone! Took 2 shirts in to get cleaned and when I went to pick them up they lost one of them. Waited about a week for them to find it and about 10 days later they found it but it had been burned. Had to fill out a 2nd claim form and supposed to be reimbursed for the shirt that I had never wore, was just looking to get the wrinkles out since it was new. Still have had No response. I have taken several dresses to them, and these are all prom gowns, with lots of beading and very sensitive material and they are amazing!!!!! I cannot trust any other dry cleaners with my $500+ dresses except for them! The owner and very nice and helpful! 3 months ago i brought in my 100% down featherbed. i went to pick up a week later and it was still not ready. hasina told me it takes longer to dry completely because of the density of the item. ok, so i come back a week later and its still not there. they admit they have lost it and would check their other 10 stores. 2 months later i still do not have it. they tried 3 times to pawn somebody else's featherbed off on me. the last time (3rd time) they even went so far as putting my receipt with item number on in and hasina argued with me that this one even had my name and item number on it. so they literally just printed up another tag from their register and taped it to the celophane cover thinking i would fall for this!!! unbelievable!!! i have filled out insurance claim form to recoup my loss. they told me they would call me the following week after they looked at their store camera footage. of course no call came. so i went there again for the 15th time and asked them to give me the name of their insurance company or have them call me to verify that they indeed turned this into their insurance. they refused to comply. so now its time for action...better business rates them an "f" because they did not respond twice to letters sent to this company on previous complaint. registered letter of demand to be sent facebook boycott of friends is building call kurtiss of channel 13 news small claims court and i will pickit them if i have to until i get restitution. customers beware... i have also witnessed hasina quote two different prices to the same customer within a 5 minute period for a simple black dress! they do not post price lists so it is up to her whim what she charges!!! read more

They ruined my coat, it was dirtier when I went to pick it up than when I took it in. It had blue lint inside and out and specs of white stuff all over the sleeves and front. After three attempts for them to get it right, it still had lint on it and they stretched the thread on the buttons on the sleeve strap making it hang far from the sleeve while trying to get the blue lint from under the strap. I had a hard time getting a hold of the manager (she did not call me when I left a message for her to, had to have the girls in the Manteca office call her directly) and when I did get to talk to her, I asked her to replace my coat and she said she would have it cleaned again. I had been without the coat long enough and if you cannot get it by three tries, I need it replaced. I tried to call the owner, Mike, but he was "not in," when I was told he was by another employee. I left a message for him to call me back, but, not to my surprise, he did not. I would give this a MINUS rating, but unfortunately it is not offered and I had to at least give them one star in order to post. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND POOR QUALITY WORK!! Even if the other cleaners in town charged double, it would still be worth it. read more

I brought in a coat with cat hair on it. I asked lady if they could get it off. She said yes. I noticed there wasn't any prices posted, except for the standard "most things $2.99" and prices for laundry. I asked for price list and lady said they didn't have one, she just "knew prices". I wasn't comfortable with this, but agreed to price she quoted ($8.99) as I was in hurry and needed it done ASAP. I have never heard of a place not having either a posted list or printed one, with prices. Seemed like she made up the prices as she went, depending on who was asking!? When I returned to pick the coat up, it still had numerous cat hairs left on it. When I pointed it out to the lady, she just shrugged and stared at me. If I hadn't needed the coat that night I would have insisted it be recleaned. Instead I had to hand pick off all the leftover cat hair before I could wear it. Not only will I never return here, I will let EVERYONE I know about their unprofessional methods and lack of service! If could give Park Avenue Cleaners less than one star, I would have! read more
