Mark and his crew are quick, clean, competent, creating captivating works of art. Even our quick condo remodel was really upgraded by these craftsmen. Yes, it took an abominable amount of time when they had to rely on outside contractors for one piece (which was marvelous, and worth the wait at the end)... but the work they do in-house was very quick. Our real estate agent was so impressed when we did the final once-over, she increased our offering price. Heck, when my keys to our place were elsewhere, Mark cut short his bike ride and came quick quick to rescue us with his copy. He's that kind of reliable, good guy. read more

I have a historic home near the Gold Coast in Alameda and needed high quality tile work in my bathroom. Boy am I happy I called Perri Marble. Their tile work was fantastic! They really know what they are doing and their work far exceeded our expectations! They are a family owned and operated company with great history and jobs all over the bay area. Joe and his nephew Jeff installed our travertine and glass kitchen backsplash. They were on time, professional and completed the installation in one day. Before installing the stone they laid out all of the pieces and I was able to remove, add and switch any tiles to ensure I would be pleased with the final outcome. Joe and Jeff spent two days installing and then grouting the backsplash and Joe returned a third time to seal everything including our granite countertops! I was very pleased with the work Jeff from Perri Marble & Tile did on my kitchen and sink backslash. I called Perri Marble @ the busy time of the year, while I was on vacation near holiday. Jeff showed up on the 1st weekend to start the work and made multiple trips for the project in order to make sure the tiles are fully settled before starting the next step. He paid full attention to details, and put his pride into the work, he kept the work area clean and protected, he aligned up the tiles beautifully and carefully made efficient use of the tile (I stock barely enough tiles for the project and is hard to find extra supplies). These guys are the absolute best! They have done 3 projects for us and we are planning to call them as soon as our 4th project is ready. I can't imagine calling anyone else. The first project was our master bath. We replaced the jacuzzi tub/shower combo with a walk in shower. We were afraid we would need to re-tile the walls and floor in the whole bath, but Mark said they still made the marble tile (after 20 years) and he knew where he could get enough to fill in the walls where the tub was. That saved us thousands of dollars and they matched it perfectly. I am all about infrastructure for these kinds of projects and they paid attention to every detail. The bath is on a second floor, they sealed the sub-floor, put in a waterproof membrane, cut the floor unglazed tiles to customize the look and suggested adding seats and attractive grab bars for our impending senior years. After 3 years it still looks new and we have had no problems. The second project was to tile our ugly, cracked, stained and mossy concrete patio. They recommended porcelain tile and suggested showrooms they felt were reliable. We picked out our tile and they did the same amazing infrastructure and design work. They even cut the bottom of the fence to be sure there was room for the water to drain. After 3 years there is no moss, stains or cracks and we still love it. The third project was to do the kitchen backsplash last fall. Again Mark worked with us and our designer to come up with the right number of pieces so we didn't over order and for the perfect placement of the accent tiles. Designing is not my forte, so I value and trust Mark's input. He came before we ordered, when the tiles arrived to be sure we got all of them, laid them out, checked on the installation to be sure all the pieces were being placed in the right spot and again when it was done. Our mural and accent tiles had some three-dimensional aspects to it, the grouting and placement is absolutely smooth and perfectly aligned. It is the first thing you see when you enter the kitchen and everyone is amazed by it. Through all of these projects we have had the pleasure of meeting and working with the family - brothers Mark, Joe and Randy, their brother-in-law Chris, and Mark's son Jeff. All have been very polite, trustworthy, clean, perfectionists, helpful and willing to do a few extras that weren't part of the project, e.g., attach a few loose tiles in other rooms so I didn't have to buy a big bag of grout for 3 tiles. They are on the higher end of the cost scale, but we are so happy both with the looks and practicality of all the work, we absolutely feel they are worth every dollar they charge. The 3 brothers are personable, likeable guys who know everything about tiling and want to give you the high quality, low cost tile job you want. I love these guys!!! I had the best experience ever. Our second story bathroom was leaking into our downstairs playroom after we cheaped out and hired some hole in the wall guy to install a shower. So we hired Perri marble and tile to fix it!! Originally we had wanted to spend about $10,000 for the entire renovation. We did go about $3000 over because we decided to upgrade our sink, toilet, bathtub and shower. They also found and fixed some dry rot for us. JOE IS THE MAN!!! They are all nice guys. But something about Joe just matched our home and style. He had a wonderful bedside manner and tile work that could be considered art. He is a perfectionist who is detail oriented. They always consult you before they do anything. My husband is the cheapest man in the world and even he was so happy we had money very well spent. If you are scared like we were and have never done any home renovation projects, these are the people to trust! They even had to demolish a portion of their own recent work to fix a plumbing problem left over by an inept general contractor (mistakenly hired by us). The retile work is perfect and there is no sign of disruption. Their work is impeccable. Perri Marble & Tile did a fantastic job in our bathroom remodel. Once we agreed on a more than fair price, they were able to start pretty quick. They showed up on time, were very polite, hard workers who left the area clean when they left. They installed floor tile and shower wall tile, including a glass tile accent in the shower. Excellent workmanship. Perri finished the majority of the work within four days, but had to stop due to a problem with the delivery of our vanity. Once we called them after the vanity finally arrived, they immediately came out to finish up the project by installing a glass tile backsplash on the vanity. They were very patient with us waiting for the vanity to arrive. I highly recommend Perri Marble & Tile and I will use them for all future tile projects. read more
