The grass has some type of stickies that get on everything! My jeans from the ankles down were covered in them. My short haired dog was ok though, had I brought our golden retriever it would have been awful. No water station at dog area, or shade, so summers I wouldn't recommend at all. read more

Dear City of Peoria, WHY DID YOU PAINT OUR BEAUTIFUL PARK BLUE?!?! Like the worst shade of blue you've ever seen. Nothing natural looking about it. Idk who is in charge of that and being lazy/cutting corners but that's just ridiculous. I was born and grew up in this neighborhood. I have spent 10,000+ hours at this park so I pulled off the freeway the other day to drive by and reminisce and boy was I shocked. Do better, try harder. Looks terrible. read more

My fiancé and I have driven by this park a few times and notice it was empty every time. We decided to give it a shot because we're not sure how our pup would do with other dogs. We now see why no is ever there. The stickers burrowed into our dogs coat and paws and well as my clothing. Seems to be a common theme with the other reviews as well. I used to love bringing my dog here. She's about 14 pounds and runs. A lot. So I brought her every weekend in the mornings. Unfortunately this dude always brings his stupid beagles that are both males and just molest each other and other dogs. I'm always just awkwardly uncomfortable when male dogs get excited- but it's just annoying that he doesn't control them AND he's a regular. Then today I brought my dog and had to leave after not even 3 minutes because him and this other group of people came in. Same problem- just more dogs. And the owners are like "oh they are just dogs hahaha" no. In short- if you don't want to deal with your dog getting molested- don't bring your small dog here. read more

Absolutely loved the experience. I have never taken my furbabies to a dog park. I approached the gate with my bravo who is the more fiesty one between him n my shitzu bella. I didn't know what to do our how to approach the situation. A lovely lady came to my rescue. She said they don't line the leash. They will be fine let go in and introduce them. It was amazing how he just got along. N wasn't aggressive. I'll be a regular here for sure. read more

A well-kept secret! Huge dog park for the large dogs - great for chucking the ball a long way! (There is also a separate park for small dogs under 30# ). In the mornings, there are lots of friendly dog owners who know how to control their dogs. The only drawback is that there is no water - you must bring it. There are picnic tables and benches and a large tree for shade and a new shade sail installed. The large dog section is east of the parking lot and playground. read more

Small dog section and large dog section are in different sections of the park. Nice seating with shade in the small dog section. No water so bring your food own. I would give it higher rating but there are little stickers/burrs that get embedded in non smooth coated dogs and gets on the tennis balls and your clothing. My smooth coated dog was fine but the thick coated dogs were covered in these stickers/burrs. read more

Wanted to find a nice dog park close to my house in Peoria. Saw this reviews on Google and it said great things. It has a separate big dog and small dog section. I have two small dogs, and I was trying to get them socialized. When I got there there were no big dogs in their area and one other small dog in our area. My dogs ran around, and had a great time. My fiancé and I were excited to go back. However, when we got in the car we noticed little needle type weeds in their coats. We didn't think much of it until we got home and tried to give them a bath. It took forever to get them out. I talked to someone else about it at another dog park and apparently multiple complaints have been made to the city and they haven't done anything about it. Very disappointed because that one is closer to us. read more

Small dog park is great. Friendly people, friendly dogs. Lots of room for small dogs to run. Bring water and bags.

Pretty disappointed, poor design, stark. The large dogs area is a winding walk away from the parking lot, near the children's play area, poorly fenced in with several holes that people have tried to patch up, and NO WATER unless you go back to the parking lot and fill one of the bowls scattered around. Nicely shaded with a tree or two and a bench underneath, not enough seating around. Big enough but stark, plain and the day we came there were no other dogs there to play, a sunny Sunday afternoon in the high 60's, perfect dry weather. However the small doggie area seemed to be busy, opposite of the parking lot where you cannot even see it or try to mix with them if you wanted to. I will be calling Peoria Parks service to ask for fixing that fence and getting water to the area. read more

Nice dog park! I like how the small and large dog sides are on the opposite ends of the park. You'll see a lot of friendly retired people here. There is a big group of friends who seem to come on Saturday mornings. The pups had a nice time! read more

Decent dog park. Nice grass, not too muddy and I like the multiple benches around the fence line. Small in size though, so couldn't do 5 stars. It was hard to find the entrance too. Nice location and good surrounding sidewalk for walking outside the park. read more
