There's so much to enjoy in one area--a nearby library, a beautiful pond filled with ducks and fish, and plenty of open grassy spaces perfect for relaxing or having a picnic. There are also benches and covered seating areas, which make it easy to spend a good amount of time there comfortably. The park is very family-friendly, with a playground, pickleball courts, a volleyball area, and even two separate dog parks--one for larger dogs and one for smaller dogs. Nearby, there's also a community pool and a sports area where you can play games like baseball. They also host festivals throughout the year, and during Christmas, the decorations are especially beautiful and add a nice festive touch. Parking is convenient and free, which is a huge plus. There's also a smaller college located nearby, which adds to the community feel of the area. Overall, it's a well-maintained, welcoming park with something for everyone.

The only down side with the dog park is when the Christmas decorations and lights were taken down, the zip ties were simply cut off lights and left behind. I have a puppy so I'm spending time picking up zip tie ends. That's wasn't very cool. February and still picking up zip tie pieces left behind. Some people ignore dog size signs which can be dangerous and patrol is very slow to respond. Beautiful area to fish, walk, bbq, huge park for the kids. Plenty of parking, bathrooms are pretty well kept up. We go here daily. We're very fortunate to have such a wonderful park.

This event was held at the park that accompanies the Spring Training home of the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers, one of the most amazing and beautiful facilities in the Cactus League! Like the Ostrich Festival I attended the weekend before, there was also a carnival that hosted the music event as well. The event was easily accessible but the parking was a bit of a jaunt. A six-block jaunt both ways for me so I definitely got my daily walk in, between this event and the work event I attended to earlier in the day! But to see Andy Grammer, who is a longtime favorite of mine, and country newcomer Chris Lane, the exercise was well worth my aching feet! I got right up near the stage and plenty of pictures (of both artists) and videos (of Andy only) from their performances and even got to meet Corey Lane, brother of Chris, afterward! I went VIP for this event and am glad I did! Delicious food and drinks and the people who put this on were so awesome! I wasn't able to get pix of that due to people always in the way LOL but I enjoyed the hospitality tremendously. City of Surprise, you really know how to host an amazing event and cater to the people! Thank you for all you do! And last but not least, Thank You Yelp for all you do and Thank You to Andy and Chris for a great night of music!

This splash pad was small but mighty with two water arches, three jumping fountains and one large…read morespinning spout that sprays across the whole splash pad! Not sure if can handle a large amount of kids at once but with the large covered playground a few steps away, kids can find plenty of space to run around in! The kids loved it and Voted it the best surprise splash pad they've visited!
