Super friendly staff. I'm so thankful to have this spot for my postal needs especially during this time when I have to work from home daily now and can't ship from my office anymore. It's so easy to be able to have a one stop drop-off spot for USPS, UPS, FedEx packages so I don't have to run around the city to different locations. They sell ULine boxes in store if you need packaging materials which is convenient if I don't have the right sized box for my eBay sales. I make sure to always get a receipt since they print out all the tracking numbers for the packages I am dropping off. read more

I've been with numerous similar services in the city and in Mountain View and these people are the best. They are very good at notifying you when something arrives and have been patient without being unpleasant when I went away for a few weeks and another time when I had Covid. No service like this wants to store packages especially since mine were quite large and I do not recommend doing that. But it was unplanned and unavoidable and they supported me all the way. I'm sure I'm not the first, nor the only person in the Sunset District that's had a package stolen off of the front steps of their home. It's really frustrating to get a notification that your amazon package has been delivered only to get arrive home and see nothing. Enter Parkside mailboxes. They're a mailbox store. They sign for deliveries, including UPS, DHL, FEDEX, USPS and many more! Before I got a box at Parkside for my wife and I, I was shopping around. USPS p.o. boxes were a less expensive option. Will USPS sign your UPS package? Nope. Will USPS give you access to your p.o. box 24/7? Nope. Will USPS allow you to drop off UPS and DHL packages to be shipped? Nope. Will a USPS p.o. box give you a legal street address? Nope. Will USPS shred your documents for you? Nope. Just about the only thing that Parkside doesn't/can't do is predict the weather (and ship FEDEX packages) but that's it. What's even better is that I know that I'm supporting a local business. TL;DR If you want a full-service mailbox shop experience, a place that will keep your deliveries safe, a place that offers the services you need, check out Parkside Mailboxes. If you wanna pay less to get less, check out the post office. Just don't say I didn't warn you. read more

I run a small photo business out of my garage and have had a mailbox here for some 4 years already. They've always taken care of my mail and packages and said a friendly hello whenever there's no line. I probably have the smallest box size, but they take my biggest packages - light stands, flash heads, etc. No fuss, no airs, just reliable and good service. I'm typically in and out in 20 seconds if there's no package. It's a plus for whenever I go on vacation and redirect my mail there. No more lost/stolen packages! Total bummer about the lack of outbound FedEx, but personally, I think it's no hassle to print my own label and drop it off at Sloat. The lines are really slow at FedEx Sloat, actually. 15 mins wait or more just to grab a pickup - I think it's a good reason to extend service here. Just a suggestion for the owners - consider some way of adding a sensor to each box that indicates whether a box has mail/packages, notifies the customer. That way, us customers can save a few trips. read more

He apparently will not tolerate any level of criticism from customers and prefers to tell dissatisfied customers to leave his store rather than address their concerns. It used to be a convenient place I'd go to drop off larger packages. Recently, I hauled a big bag down only to be told, "Sorry, we don't deliver FedEx packages any more". The only notice was posted on the wall next to the service window. It wouldn't have been so bad if I had driven there. Walking with a giant mail bag slung over my shoulder isn't the most comfortable thing to do. Especially if I have to walk it back home. Look, I'd understand if this decision was made for expense reasons. We all gotta cut corners to save some dough here and there. But considering I do quite a bit of business using FedEx, I'll probably have to find another place to ship my mail. read more

Love this place. Super nice people, always on it and keeping our packages safe. Never had any issues for the past two years. They always answer the phone and communicate via email when your package arrives. Sometimes we go out of town and they are very understanding about hanging on to our mail for us. Hi: My experience with UPS/Fed-ex et all is if they don't have a place to drop it off on the first attempt, they drop it in the bushes, leave it with anyone and you have to chase them around... Parkside Postal fills that gap and the peace of mind is priceless. They send a text message for all deliveries, excepting the post office. It's a small business with a friendlier atmosphere than a corporate box store like UPS. They've got your back. It's a small store but I come in to get my packages, not to perform ballet. They offer a great mailbox service and rates, with the most sophisticated email and SMS notification system I've seen (much better than the UPS and mailboxes, etc. stores that charge considerably more). The 24hour access is another thing you don't get with a lot of services. I just don't understand how people can foolishly complain about the prices of this full service shop compared to the limited USPS post office boxes. And the prices are so close between the two. Parkside Mailboxes is the friendliest, most efficient, pleasant and knowledgeable mail service I have ever used in San Francisco. This is definitely my go to mail service spot now. It's on Taraval immediately off of 19th Ave so it is in an easy spot. Plenty of parking. The service is outstanding - way beyond UPS or FedEx - not corporate and rushed at all. And compared to USPS - ha! ...may as well be comparing an angry traffic jam to a leisurely boat cruise. There's no reason not to used Parkside Mailboxes if it's on your route or near your neighborhood. Or even if it's out of your way but you have a number of items to take care of ...it is a place worth coming to to complete your mission - you'll leave smiling rather than gritting your teeth. I searched yelp for a notary public, and this was nearest. The lady working was kind and friendly. Unfortunately the state hadn't yet sent her next blank book, so she couldn't notarize, but sent me across the street to the real estate office, where I did get my document signed & stamped. She was so nice, that I came back across the street after to get the document faxed, so that my paperwork would be underway ASAP. Their website does say to call to verify that the notary is in; I just didn't do that because I'd already shut my computer. ;P Will return if I need a nearby notary, & will consider getting a box here if my idea for a small business gets bigger! read more

It's not always convenient to spend a long time in line at the post office waiting for service, so a quick stop is always a plus. They makes it easy to get the best rate on shipping from all carriers and stocks a very wide range of packing materials to choose from. Also if you need another address for your business you can also rent a mailbox. This place is really convenient if you need to drop off anything to the post office but can't make their ridiculous hours. Parkside Mailboxes takes USPS Priority Mail in addition to UPS. This review is for the average of the weekday dropoff service and the weekend one. I've been coming here to drop off my Amazon returns during covid-19. the weekday experience is fast and convenient, I email the return label up the on-site staff and it costs a quarter to print the return label. The weekend on-site staff seems to have no experience doing returns. She printed my label, which normally costs a quarter but she wanted to charge double because there was an inside slip as well as an outside label. Since the weekday staff never prints the inside slip I didn't realize each sheet costs a quarter. I had to pay her since she held my package hostage by then. Then I asked her to help tape the label onto an open package. She was very frugal with the shipping tape so am not even sure if it will stay on. Fingers crossed the package will arrive safely but am guessing she's the family member of the owners or the owner herself. Am going to look for a new location to do drop-offs as I feel this was an extremely unpleasant, unprofessional experience. So much for a neighborhood mom and pop, your customer experience is your brand. read more

Unreliable. I called to ask when Fed Ex picks up and they said to have the package to them by 3:30 p.m. and they call Fed Ex to pick up that day. I specifically asked the young woman to be sure to call Fed Ex when I dropped off the package at 3:15. Fed Ex didn't pick up the package until next morning. I used to use them all the time when Amber was the owner and had notary services. Now I only use them from time to time - but no longer. I don't trust that they do what they say. read more

Horrible place. I went in to fax a single page, and wanted the bill receipt sent as a second page. The owner told me I had to make a copy, and pay for copy, or the bill because it wouldn't fit in the fax machine. This despite every fax machine I've ever seen being able to handle different sized paper, but whatever I told her fine. Then I pull out credit card and she says there is a minimum charge. I informed her that the merchant agreement that she signed with the credit card companies specifies there is no minimum charge allowed (and anyone can call any credit card company to verify this), but again I said whatever, fine, and pulled out cash. She then refused service and told me to go elsewhere. So: she tried to nickel and dime you, then refuses payments which she has signed agreements to accept. And by the way, Dragon Printing on corner of Taraval and 14th is .25 cents cheaper per page read more

Everyone here is so great! This is my oasis! They text me when a package arrives. They take care of my packages I receive and keep them safe until I arrive (when I am out of town or can't get in there for a couple of days). If I have a question about an item I was waiting to arrive, I can call and ask and they are always willing to help with anything I need. Always professional, nice and patient!!! I recently shipped a package from here using UPS. When it arrived at its destination, the contents were completely destroyed. I was pretty sure it happened in transit, not at Parkside Mailboxes so I contacted UPS. After jumping through dozens of hoops, UPS told me I had to file my claim with Parkside Mailboxes if I wanted to be reimbursed. I called and Amber apologized (even though it wasn't her fault) and immediately wrote me a check. I doubt I would had received the same level of service if I had shipped through an UPS store. I will continue to harp on UPS until they reimburse Amber. It doesn't feel right that she paid me and not UPS. read more
