All the meat and cheeses and ice cream have been done by students who have been under experienced guidance of an instructor. I have always been extremely pleased and happy about everything I have bought. Ice cream flavors are plenty and so delicious. The cheeses are award winning! And you can't go wrong with any of the meats. My personal faves are the brats, chorizo and italian sausage. You'll be surprised at the variety of meats. With a about 16 ice creams in the case, they let you try samples, and after trying that one (my second) I was sold! While it doesn't have the tang that red Velvet cake has (yes the cake, not just the frosting) I really enjoyed it. The texture was very pleasant. You get the creamy ice cream, with the mixed in cake, and bits of mini chocolate chips in each bite. Yum!!! Aside from the ice cream case, they also had a cooler with ice cream sandwiches, and several flavors of pint sized ice cream. Some of those flavors weren't even in the case (like a cinnamon toast crunch one). There were several tables indoors and outside so seating wasn't an issue. Some of unique specialties include Lamp Chops, Pulled Pork, Chorizo. This is shortest shopping window as the "store" is only open Wednesday afternoons from 2:00-5:00 and that's an expansion from their previous hours of 3-5. Here is the best part - you will likely never have to wait in line here, and even better, you'll likely spend a LOT less - we're talking quite a few dollars - than you'd spend on fresh meat at a grocery store. They only take cash, so bring it with you. Street parking is usually pretty simple, but you may have to walk half a block to a block on a busy school day. Also, keep in mind that they're only open from 2-5 on Wednesdays only. And here's a tip that I promise you will thank me for. On Wednesdays in the same building, the Dairy Store is open, too. You can buy fresh cheese in MANY varieties (including artisan styles with fruit or nuts in it) and ... wait for it ... ice cream!
