I appreciate a service that vacuums, washes floor mats, and wipes down the car. I keep the car cleaner than I would if I had to do that myself. I am happy with PAL. Gave it 4 stars because occasionally the wipe down is less thorough than expected. They typically do a great job on windows - no smears that catch the sun and make it hard to see. read more

I'm currently writing this review from Eastland Auto Wash after a bad "experience" at Parkway Auto Wash. I was greeted with "How you doing?" and an off putting smirk at Parkway Auto Laundry. I was shown a menu, and I asked for the "Experience" for the advertised price of $14. As the gentleman took my order, a manager walked up. I heard him say "this is bull$#*% start charging $5 extra." I was handed a ticket for $19 -- the "Experience" plus $5 extra for a soak wash. My rental car was very muddy from the recent rains. However, the inside was just vacuumed. I might have paid the extra charge had I been greeted with curtesy and explained the extra charge. Instead, I handed the ticket back and said, "I don't think so. I'll do it myself." I can't write what I was thinking. The customer service I just "experienced" was the the worst. If they treat everyone this way, I can't imagine they will stay in business for long with their over charged prices. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. I wish could give this review 0 stars. I arrived on a Monday at a non-busy time and there were only 2 cars being serviced and sufficient staff. I was having my mother's car cleaned which had been somewhat neglected. I made sure to bring that to their attention and asked for some TLC. It took a fair amount before it went through the wash so I assumed that's what was occurring. I left a very generous tip which I shouldn't have done because they did a poor job on the interior surfaces...barely wiped. I had an appointment so couldn't stay to dispute it. A little later, I realized that all of my mom's quarters were gone from her change compartment. I guess I know what took so long now. Lesson learned, no tip till adequately cleaned and be sure to inspect everything before leaving. Absolutely despicable behavior and service!!! read more

For the money and personalized service of having someone finish off your car you can't beat Parkway Auto. If you aren't into sweat equity yourself or just want to save time this place is a must in B-N. I got turned onto them from their Dirtiest Car in the Lot promotion at ISU Football games. I went and tried them out and have been using PAL ever since. They have always been friendly and given me great service when I take my car in. Went to PALs to get my car washed, and for $16.50 the pictures is what I received. I received the sparkle wash which includes: Exterior Wash, Vacuum interior to back seat, interior windows cleaned, dash & steering column dusted, power drying and hand-toweled finish, door jambs wiped, triple foam polish, whitewall tire scrub, underbody flush with rust inhibitor, and an air freshener. (As per THEIR pricing sheet) I wasted my time as well as $16.50 on this car wash. We returned after seeing the car like it was and confronted the men that cleaned it and they denied that they wipe down the car with the sparkle wash, "That is done with detailing." they said. So they ran it through again and nothing changed. I called the store the next morning when they reopened to speak to the manager and all the manager said was "I'm Sorry" and that I could bring it back in, mind you the THIRD time, and they can do it again. I am not wasting my time or money on this wash anymore and I will just fix it myself and go to a different car wash in the future. read more

Full service car wash. Often a line, but it typically goes quick. Truck comes out reasonably clean - good for this area, not so good compared to the quality I've had in other cities. They are always friendly from the person vacuuming, the cashier, and the ones doing the final touches. Lots of coupons in the mail, with other discounts available-Monday for students, Tuesday for ladies, Wednesday for Seniors. Discount everyday with the B104 card and for employees of some companies. Warning....their website isn't mobile friendly so don't know if there are other discounts there. read more

I've been a customer for past 10+years, sadly this place has increased prices over the years but service has gone down. Typically I get the Royale or Imperial washes. They quite often will neglect to apply tire shine, properly wipe the dash or even place air freshener. When I've inquired I get major attitude and brushed off. Most of the people working there are sketchy. Wish Bloomington had another full service wash or owners would quit being lazy and hire better manager and staff. read more

All the negatives of a car wash... I don't understand this model. It's not touch less, so there's damage to your car. It's an automatic wash) which is pretty dated and basic compared to other rofferings in town) but you still have to get out of your car. They have people spend their time and energy wiping th interior down, but they use dirty rags and everything comes out streaked. I have a 3 tone dash, aluminum, wood, and hard & soft plastics. The wood is splotches, there's a white residue on the aluminum, and the plastic is dusty. Awkward experience to go sit in a vending machine lobby and wait for them to be done with your car. Not entirely comfortable leaving it out of sight with minimum wage teenagers. This place is straight out fo the 90's, and while fine, there are just a multitude of better offerings in town now. From touchless, to wash every day plans, to actual detailers. Still not as bad as club car wash, but not worth the visit imo. read more

They didn't wipe down the mats and when I asked them to- they said they couldn't because they're part carpet- failed to mention that when I had already paid extra for the express purpose of wiping down the mat! It's actually an automatic car wash (which I prefer not to use), but you are paying people to quickly and incompletely clean the inside of your vehicle and wipe the outside dry. I have tried three times and am done. I easily wiped off all kinds of dirt after hearing a few excuses for it not being removed. There were also some little marks on the outside that I did not see before the vehicle went through the wash. I only had the exterior done the last time, but my seats and steering wheel were pushed into different positions, with nothing put back as it was. Based on other online reviews, it doesn't look as though the PAL on Greenbriar in Normal is any better. I plan to continue going to places where you get out and clean the vehicle with a hose, get it done when there is a fundraiser, take it to the dealer, or basically just go anywhere else. read more

Never take a nice auto here. Had my truck detailed and they destroyed the finish on my navigation screen. They would not take responsibility. My family and I previously used them for over a decade on a weekly basis. The damage occurred in 2014 and I want PAL to know I still let everybody I talk to about a car wash know this company can't be trusted to take care of a problem if it occurs. Many customers ( at least 20) no longer use pal on a regular basis after I shared my experience with them. PAL has lost over $62,000 in business by treating me wrong and I wanted to remind them of the long term ramifications of screwing a customer over. read more

Not only did they do an excellent, and efficient job, but they even went so far as to tell me to bring the car back to reclean it if any of the deep stains didn't come all the way out. I had a concern that I brought directly to the owner and he treated me horribly. He was demeaning and insulting, and acted like I did not see the actions that caused me concern. I was shocked because he is normally friendly. So if you go there, don't make the terrible mistake of bringing a concern to the owner's attention! I have been to this place several times and I will not be back again. We took our car there this weekend. The attendant got done vacuuming the car and got in to pull it around to the wash. When he did, he got on the gas, squealed tires in the parking lot and got the car sideways. That is not ok! I can drive my car how I want because I am the one paying for the tires or repairs. But I would expect a business such as this one to have more respect for a customer's vehicle than to treat it that way. We talked to the manager and he didn't seem to care at all. All he could say is that his employee didn't do it on purpose. I have been driving sports cars long enough to know that a small chirp of the tires may not be on purpose, but when you get on it enough to squeal tires and get the car sideways, that's not an accident, and not acceptable! I would give 0 starts if that were an option. Treated EXTREMELY rudely by 2 of the guys washing my car, that even the cashier was shocked. No people skills whatsoever. The cashier was so surprised that she went to get the manager. At that point I was just ready to leave...till I saw the my car. I headed back in as the manager was coming out to greet me, and showed her the inside of my car. She apologized, took it back to re-clean and vacuum it herself, and three minutes later brought it back around to me, almost hitting a guy in a truck. The windows inside were so streaked that I had a hard time seeing with the glare of the sun. As I pulled away, the guy who got in trouble for being horribly rude continued by glaring and laughing and shaking his head at me. NEVER AGAIN.
