The price here is excellent compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area and I think the Green chili is the best - authentic and just the right amount of spice. Monday afternoon, 3rd tables at the restaurant. Friendly waitress who also bartends keeps calling me sweetheart, honey and what else. Service was quick, jalapeño margarita served in perfect time, my order came out in a timely manner. Restaurant itself is clean, restroom needs update. Pricing seems to be high. Most items started at $15 per entry or small plate. My soft chile rellenos came out perfect. Slightly different than the menu photos. Sauce on top was delicious. oh macdonald! not a bum steer. bc our palate for mexican food is typically very discriminating, we were a bit reluctant to try this place, despite the rave reviews, plus we thought that due to said reviews, it would be soooper busy. we were so pleasantly surprised that 1) it was desolate when we visited, thanks to a gorgeous sunny, warm day and 2) it was ABSOLUTELY just as good as everyone in nextdoor has stated. the place is clean, in a convenient location, there's plenty of parking, & a nice staff. we each had a combo and were so very pleased. my taste buds are still happy-facing and asking me for a second go-round. one of the best crispy rellenos ever, and tho i am not a red chili enchilada type, theirs was off the chain! the tamale was spicier than most places. and the green chili smothering was soooo flavorful and satisfying. only negative is: the dishes don't come with sour cream and they don't smother the food with enough green chili for you to drink it ok. so really just one negative and even that's no big deal bc now that we know this, we will ask for it when we order. go - you'll be so happy that you did! read more

Food was just ok, maybe even meh. There's a language barrier and after much discussion about an item, it was completely the opposite of what was discussed and incorrect. The smothered burritos were ok, tastes much like other places. The salsa tasted like tomato sauce. Guac had no flavor and had to spice it up myself. I'd never recommend the queso, yikes! It was like melted American cheese slices, worse than velveeta and looked like plastic. Not good and was not eaten. Probably won't go back, nothing stood out at remarkable. read more

Decided to stop in after mailing off a package. The sign mentioned new ownership so I am always willing to try a new small business. Glad I gave this place a try! I absolutely love this Mexican restaurant. Not only is the food fantastic, but also they have great customer service whether you are dining in or ordering to go. I live in the neighborhood and ever since I discovered this restaurant, I make it a point to order Mexican as much as I can. Their food portions are very generous and they pack you chips and salsa for to go orders. their homemade salsa is delicious. And if you like spice, ask for the habanero salsa! My wife and I stopped in for dinner after coming from a Doctor's appointment on Lincoln Ave. It is a small but GREAT little family owned place. Has about 5 booths and 5 tables but lots of parking out front. The service was great, they checked in with us several times before, and after we were done. The BEST thing is the food. We had 2 combinations which came with this wonderful tasting rice and black beans that were not soggy and had a fresh taste to them. My chicken burrito was the best. They use authentic Mexican cooking and the chicken was pulled with a super spice and it was good sized. My wife had a chili relleno with lots of cheese and a chicken taco which was a crispy shell that was not soggy and breaking apart . We have gone to some expensive Mexican restaurants and this food was much better and had a nice ambiance even though small. Go try it. read more
