Man, it's hard finding a good cleaners. I went to a couple different ones in the area. They would give me a date when the cleaning would be done, I'd get over there and it wasn't done and for me to come in the day where I'm on a time deadline it a hassle or their prices were way too expensive, it should not cost ten bucks to clean a pair of pants. These folks did the job quick and the price was good. So here's where I'll be getting my cleaning done for a while. Incidentally I came here a long time ago and remember they did a good job. I took a red hooded Ralph Lauren Polo Sweat Shirt to this poor excuse of a business 5 and half months ago to repair a broken zipper. They never called to inform me it was repaired. I became really busy during those months and it slipped my mind. I recently remembered that I had left it there and went in to pick it up. I went into parkway cleaners on the 17th of November. I showed the lady Nina at the counter my receipt/ticket. She brought it up to the counter. I noticed right away that there was still a safety pin on the zipper. It was not fixed and they had the sweat coat for over 5 months. Nina acknowledge it right away and asked me to come back two Saturdays from that Friday. So they would have it for another 8 days. I went in today ( 12/5/2023 ) and they brought it to the counter and there was oil stains from the sewing machine when they repaired the zipper on the front mid/chest section of the sweat shirt. The oil stains ran parallel to the zipper on both right and left side of the garment. I took it out of the garment bag to inspect it better and sure enough it was there. I thought it might be lint material. NOPE!!! I said something right away. The owners sister Nina denied accountability right then and there even though these oil stains were not there before. I had washed it before it took it in. It didn't have anything on it, whatsoever. I told her this garment was over $100.00 and she would not budge. Nina brought out her battle-ax sister the owner from the back. Her name is Judy. She actually had the nerve to say... " You know that we did not do that." Before I even had a chance to even say anything. Not even a greeting when she first walked up. They deny culpability no matter what the circumstances are, regarding any kind of damage to customers garments.. I took it to their competitors next door and they will take care of it. I've never taken the time to leave a review on a business bad or good. In this case my experience was horrible. I took a garment I purchased 2 weeks ago for dry cleaning and the sleeve was damaged. The owner reached and was accusatory immediately why I asked about their policy if anything gets damaged, advised because it's expensive and want to make sure I have recourse. In addition he said he check the cameras and said when I picked up the items I went to the one damaged as if I knew it was. I asked to check the cameras the day I dropped off and shows where I show the clerk the sleeves because of the buttons need to be covered, yet they did not work that day. They attempted to fix I asked if I did not like it what are my options, received no clear answer. I told him will report him to better Business Bureau he said he does not want threats and said to pick up the item and I can no longer go to their business and hung up. Never had my clothes dry cleaned before but when my friend mentioned this place taking care of her clothes, I decided to put on my adult pants and bring in my jacket. I have this leather jacket that I've worn numerous times but I was always afraid to wash it because I was afraid of ruining the material. I decided to bite the bullet so I washed it on delicate and let it hang dry which ended up leaving a pungent water smell to it. I thought it was because I let it dry in a non ventilated area but after washing it the 2nd time, I knew I had to take my friends suggestion and take it here. I brought it in later afternoon on a Friday, explained what was going on and the girl at the front wasn't sure if it was possible to remove the smell but she took it in anyways to see what they could do. She said they'd call me the following day to tell me if they could fix the problem but no one called. I called on Tuesday to see what was going on and the girl said that they were doing a few more hand washes and that they'd call me back. Again, no call back. Worried, I called on Friday (a week after they took in my jacket), to see if it was ready and the girl said it was ready to be picked up. Relief! When I picked it up, I was excited to see if the smell went away and hell yeah that smell was gone! So relieved that my jacket is once again wearable. PROS: Service was pleasant. Price was good, $6.50 for my leather jacket. The got the smell off. They're open pretty late. CONS: They said that they would call but they don't so just give them a call to see if your items are ready. Just lack of overall communication. read more

I have been having my shirts laundered at the Salvio location for many years, now that that location has closed I have been forced to bring my shirts to the Park-n-Shop location. This location is much more chaotic and I am not sure that I will be back. On my last visit it took in thirty shirts for the husband and I, and the husband picked them up so he was not sure what I had taken in. When I looked at them I immediately noticed a polo oxford missing, I counted the shirts and there were only 29. I called and talked to the owner and she says she counted them and there were 30. I explained to her that I know what I took in and I knew what I was missing she began to yell at me. I asked her if she wanted to know that the shirt looked like, and I had to tell her about 5 or six times. She did not seem very interested in solving the problem. She actually asked me what I think she should do. I said "you should begin by apologizing for losing my shirt." She told me she can't look for my shirt if I am on the phone with her, she would look and call me back. I have never heard from her again. read more

I have been a customer for 10 years and have always loved the service and quality. in the last year they have ruined two Tommy Bahama shirts. The first one the laundered instead of dry cleaning it. This was a $150 shirt.The owner Judy, felt it was partiality my fault for not telling her it was to be dry cleaned. She reluctantly gave me a $110 credit. This time it was $110 shirt was was white silk and it came back light green and rough to the touch. She told me it was a manufacturing defect and not her fault. The quality of work has been declining over the last year or so. I suspect she is having finical difficulties and is scrimping on the chemicals. minor stains are still on pants, etc. It is a real shame, because the employees are very sweet and seem to care. They know there are issues, but have no way to control it and need the job. I really hate to give this bad review, because it will hurt the employees. I can not afford the take several thousand dollars of clothing to them and take the chance of having them ruined. read more

Let me start by saying i don't get too many things dry cleaned. I bring winter coats and occasional alterations in. I always liked the place, it's cheap, close to home and i never had any problems. I had my winter coat here after taking a vacation in March and it has been sitting in the closet for a while so i decided to take it in over the summer just to have it ready for cold months ( i'm a neat freak and i like to get things ready before i actually need them) I have never had a problem with the place before so it didn't even occurred to me to check my items after picking them up. Boy was I wrong! The coat had a bleached stain on the back!!! I mean, why would someone bleach a wool coat is beyond me. I don't know if the chemicals they use did it or it was an accident. There were no stains that needed a special treatment, just a basic dry cleaning. They never apologized and basically told me, it wasn't them but i checked my credit card statement and i still have the charge on my statement. The coat cost $500 and now has disgusting orange stain on the back. When i called and complained they told me they did nothing wrong and it was different cleaning place but i know better because of my charges. The coat is completely ruined. It makes me want to cry when i think about it. the saddest thing is, if you don't take a pic of your item before and after, it's your word against them. I'm never going to come here. I took my sofa cushion covers to Parkway Cleaners and was extremely disappointed with the results! They charged me $75 and when I picked them up, they looked exactly as dirty as when I dropped them off--I am sure they were not cleaned at all. I told them this was unacceptable and they agreed to try again. When I picked them up the second time, they still looked as dirty as when I brought them in, only now they actually looked worse for the wear, with loose threads hanging everywhere!! I've been taking my clothes here regularly for the last 4+ years and spend $100+/mo. Despite them doing well with actually cleaning my clothing, this is the last time I will be using them. I was scheduled to pick up my clothes today and realized it was 6:57PM, I was literally one block away. I called, asked if they closed at 7PM, told the front desk employee my situation and asked if she could stay open for 1-2min cus I really needed my clothes. She rudely responded with "no my owner ordered me to close at 7PM". Maybe I'm being too harsh? I think 1-2min is doable for a customer that has been with you for this long. Let me start off by saying the owners are THIEVES and this place doesn't deserve any stars! I had a new Chanel perfume and Giorgio Armani cologne. I went here to pick my cloths up and the cashier was moving slower than I thought possible. After she finished her transaction she continued to chat with her friend while others stood there waiting to pick up an order that was already paid for. Then one of the workers from the back(not a cashier) came out and prolonged the conversation with the friend, about a movie that came out making everyone wait longer. I have gone here before for dry cleaning and they have been good but this 5 star rating is based on their seamstress. I had a last minute event to go to and the hem of the dress I wanted to wear had fallen out. So, I first went to Escobar's Tailors in Pleasant Hill and asked how much it would it be. First the girl said $30 then looked at a woman and said "I mean $40". No way was I going to pay that. Went home and asked a friend where she goes and she said Parkway Cleaners. I am a wholesale dry cleaning pick up and delivery service. I contract with Parkway cleaners and have for over 9 yrs. I started my business 1/1/07 and fired 3 cleaners my first year before I found Judy (the owner) and I have been here ever since. The two things I offer my customers are 1) quality and 2) service. I can control the service and my reviews on yelp reflect just that.. I was very disappointed my first year in business because I could not find a cleaners who had consistent quality until I found Judy. I bring in between 50 and 60 orders a day, 5 days a week. I have had very few problems and, when we do, we work together to resolve them . It is critical for me to have someone I can trust and rely on and Parkway Cleaners has more than exceeded my expectations! Have we had customer issues? Yes,Show me a cleaner that hasn't. But they are the exception, not the norm and, in the end, the customer is taken care of. Parkway also has an excellent seamstress, Susan, who has altered and repaired many, many items for my customers.
