Brought a pair of cotton pants to be shortened at Sisters Hillcrest Dry Cleaners, and I got them back at the perfect length! The store owner is very kind and gave me fruit snacks. He really knows his stuff and gave me recommendations for pants length based on my shoe height (since I tend to wear shoes with a slight platform). It does take a while, so make sure to bring items in early! Prices vary based on material and type of alteration, but it was worth it and affordable imo. I will definitely go back if I need any alterations!! read more

It took him 3 weeks to hem and clean one pair of pants! It cost me over $30. He told me it would be done in 9 days, for which I was surprised (My other dry cleaners took only 1 - 3 days). I came back 10 days later and they weren't done; he said it was too hot, that he should have let me know but didn't, and it wouldn't be done for another week! It was done satisfactorily then, but I'll never go back. Bad business practices. read more

Made me wait over 6 weeks to hem two pairs of pants. And used a thread that was super bright in contrast. Not happy at all with service or product read more

So unreliable and such poor service! I don't know why I've given this guy so many chances.... between drycleaning, alterations, and having patches sewn on to jackets.... literally 80% of the time there's multiple delays... and then he hands you back "finished" items that haven't been cleaned or fixed, etc. And he makes you pay in advance. Here's a common scenario: You come to pick up your clothes the day he says the work is supposed to be done. Then you get told to come back the next day ("it'll be done in the morning"). You get there in the evening of the next day...then get told to wait 20 minutes... then another 30 minutes... still not done. Then he tells you to come back the next day. So you do, and some of the work isn't done, but he gives you everything as if it is. This has all happened on multiple occasions. read more

No idea why we have given this guy so many chances. We live in the area and really wanted to support a family business, but enough is enough. He is SO unreliable. After 20+ times dropping off dry cleaning, every time we try to pick up clothes (a week+ later) they are never ready on time and have to come back later or the following days. Today, after telling him last time we will give him one more chance, I lost my mind. I do not understand the business process or order this man has in place. It's surprising he's still in business. You'd think dry cleaning 4 shirts would take a couple days, but NO! He then said he can have the shirts ready in 15 minutes for me. Really? Over 10 business days he has had my items and has done nothing with them, but can miraculously have them done in 15 minutes! What a quality job I'm sure this will be. I demanded my clothes back and a refund and request was denied. Trust me, go elsewhere for your needs. We will never be returning. Let's also not forget to mention how blazing hot and dirty this place is. Truly a form of hell on earth. Best of luck if you wish to give this place your trust and business. read more

Support Small Business! Family owned and operated. They do fantastic work! I've brought clothes and comforters (regular and down) here. Turn around is awesome and I love seeing the husband and wife team (and sometimes their daughter there too). They are highly skilled at what they do. I've brought in some tricky items and they've cleaned them up with ease. If there is ever a concern they are knowledgeable and will let you know what they can do. Their cleaning is green-friendly. Price is on par with other dry cleaners. Nothing is sent out - everything is done by them in-store. read more

Sisters Hillcrest Dry Cleaners - Store Front w/Reseved Parking - Dry Cleaning Near Me - Pleasant Hill, California

Terrific job. Great prices. Perfect tailoring. I'm a neighbor to the cleaners and I'm so glad they're in our Pleasant Hill community.

They charged me extra to clean and iron two shirts? Said they were to large to fit in there machine - what a crook read more

First time to this place, had a man's suit to be cleaned and some work pants to be repaired. Both were done very well, on time, and for a fair price. Will be back. read more

This place is the best! I regularly have my uniform cleaned here for work and it always looks great and is ready in a timely manner. The owners are extremely accommodating as well. I have come in on several occasions in which my uniform had been torn the previous night. Despite their workload, Sisters never turns me away for an emergency repair. Not only do they produce a high quality product, they are high quality people who truly care about their customers. I highly suggest that you bring your business here! read more

They are just as friendly, meticulous and cost conscious as when I originally wrote my review 6 plus years ago. They are the best cleaners I have ever used. read more

I am always happy with this place. Sisters Cleaners is the best place to go if you need alterations done quickly and for a great price. I recently took in 4 pairs of jeans to get altered. They finished in exactly one week, they did a perfect job on them. I couldn't be happier with how they came out!! read more

I can't provide a review of their quality of service, because I was unable to get that far with this dry cleaner. First I walk in to find another customer complaining about damage (several rips) to one of their items. Who knows who dun it. BUT the response from the lady behind the counter was "for $150 we can send it out to a 3rd party to determine if we damaged it or not". Seriously?! Who's said "Yep, that sounds like a good use of $150."? That's a sham and a shake down if I've ever heard of one. Man begrudgingly leaves with torn pants. My turn... Why do they advertise "same day service" when they wont even accept your clothes for a next day turn around? They said that I'd have my clothes back "next week". When asked regarding the same day service, they told me that was only for items dropped off in the morning. Please tell me why it matters when they are dropped off?! Couldn't you just say they'll be done by tomorrow evening? You'd have a full half a day extra to get them done and charge me for same day service?!?! They were happy to "press them" in the same day. EEW?! No thanks. Please take down the sign and stop falsely advertising you have same day service, when you clearly don't have intentions of providing that service. I drove across town specifically for this service....or lack thereof. read more

Like for many people, I'm sure, finding a good cleaner, for me, was a long battle. First I went somewhere my family recommended (failed). Then I went to the closest place to my house (nice people, but did not do good work). Then, I decided to finally listen to what my yelp instincts were telling me and went where I should have been going all along. Sisters Cleaners is the best! The staff is always friendly (they gave me fruit snacks today!) and very professional. They will tell you if they think an item should not be cleaned and they try to give you the best deal they can. I always get my stuff back in perfect condition and looking oh so good! read more

I have been doing business with Sisters for years now but never gave them a yelp review. I move 15 miles away from the area but continue to bring my cleaning here to Sisters. This business is very good. Always very up front with and special cleaning needs. I have had stains on work dress shirts they were able to get out. I have also had them take careof all of my alterations since I lost 35+ pounds. Everything was done well and at a fair price. Great company to do business with. read more

I took a jacket here to have it altered. I purchased it a size to big, because the size down was too small, so to have it fit right I needed to get it bigger then have it altered. After reading the reviews I thought I would try them out. Now I realize that my jacket may be a complicated alterations, but I explained to the woman that there was no hurry and however long it took was fine. She spent forever pinning and getting all the prepwork with me and I was good with what she planned to do. When my husband when to pick it up it was very expensive and he brought it back it didn't look like it had even been touched. I tried it on and it was still enormous, and I had not lost weight or anything so it should have felt more my size like it did when she pinned it. I could clearly tell nothing was done, and I mean NOTHING. I could have done that. I will not be going back. They basically took my money for nothing. read more

We have been going to Sisters Cleaners for years now. Great service and reasonable prices. Cleaned and put a new zipper on my wedding dress as well as boxed it up for safe storage. They are great with alterations on all clothes! read more

This cleaners is family run. I look forward to taking my clothes in because they recognize me and greet me with a BIG smile. The husband is very smart and can always lift my stains. The wife is a master seamstress and does a great job. Best cleaner in the area! VERY REASONABLE PRICES!!! read more

The staff are very friendly and have a lot of attention to detail. For the past year I have gotten pants hemmed and clothing cleaned and pressed. Best of all they were able to help us clean and press a uniform that had very unique creases (inside out) in several areas. It went in stained and came out looking brand new. I was amazed at how white it was! They did a great job and there was no way I could have done that at home on my own. One night my daughter needed a safety pin for a dress. We were short on time for a special event so I crossed my fingers, went in and asked, if by chance they might be able to give us a safety pin for the night. The owner was willing to help solve our dilemma and gave us a few pins! They always give you a pack of fruit snacks when you come in and they know I have kids so they always give me extra! read more

Beware!!! They RUIN your clothes, refuse to reimburse you, and STILL CHARGE you for their "services". This is how my shirt was returned to me. Thank you for hanging it on a hanger in a nice plastic bag....as if I wouldn't see that you tried to tie-dye it. read more

I took 3 pants to be altered and had forgotten that one of my pants had a hole in it. Not only did they do a superb job of mending the hole (w.o charge) but the alertation work was perfect. thank you! read more

I had been using a competing cleaners in Pleasant Hill for years. They were always just okay, but really I didn't know it could be better somewhere else. But lately my clothes were coming back with stains, broken buttons and other little annoyances. The final straw was when a brand new shirt I brought in came back with small hole in it. So I decided to try Sisters because they were the closest to my house. Their nearly perfect rating on Yelp was also promising. After two visits, all I can say is wow, what a difference from my old cleaners. I'm welcomed with a big, gracious smile instead of an attitude of, "oh great, now I have to work." She also immediately noticed a cracked button on one of my favorite shirts and explained how it was from being cleaned wrong. Friendly and talented... a perfect combination. read more

I took a leap of faith after my dad's jacket was fixed well and started bringing in my clothes for alteration. I have had everything from jean hems, trouser hems and sleeves taken up to full sizes taken in on silk tops, lined pants in at the waist and back, jackets tucked in a bit when the designer added a weird flare at the hip all with great results. The price is comparable to other tailors, but now I can wear my Seven top again, so I'm ok with it. read more

Two years ago my ace cleaner retired. A friend recommended Sisters and my thumbs are also way UP! The wife/owner and master of alterations is a gem. Friendly, knowledgeable and takes all the time and care to do my variety of alterations. Prices are as low as I have ever found for top notch alterations. So, excellent, fast, reasonably priced alterations delivered with a big smile and small package of candy! read more

We've been clients for over 15 years, until today. The owners have new pressing/ironing equipment in the store. Today we picked up shirts with two nearly identical tears in the same spot on two different shirts. Nicely, the cleaners repaired the tears, but was extremely evasive when we questioned it - we inspect our clothes before dropping them off so we are 99.9% sure the tears were not there before. We spoke with the owner who offered to send the shirts to a lab for analysis. For us, we are moving on. There was something that was less than forthright about the whole situation. We figure our dry cleaning/laundry budget is around $2000 per year...any one know of a reputable cleaner that would like to have our business? Goodbye sisters! read more

Started using them last month and I'm very impressed with the care, personal attention and detail workmanship. They held onto a shirt until it was like brand new. They are also so kind to my little one when he comes with me. read more

Really really good dry cleaners! It took me a while to find the one that won't ruin my stuff. So far didn't have any problems. They've cleaned my spring coats, jackets, dresses, shirts and also very delicate luxury items, like 100% silk Armani dress. Great job, great service and people are very nice. They also do alterations - fast and cheap, and quality is good. Had my and my dad's pants altered there. read more

My wife and I have been having our laundry done here for years. I remember my first visit. My wife dropped off some cloths and I decided to walk over and pick them up, thinking it was one or two shirts. It was more like 15 shirts and pants! Ouch. Well, not batting an eye I paid for the items and walked out with the cloths slumped over shoulder. Boy were they heavy. I'd barely reached the end of the parking lot when the owner of the cleaners drove up in his van and gave me a ride to my house. That was years ago and I believe the place has changed hands but you wouldn't know it by the service. The folks here do a fine job, the cloths are always ready on time, they greet you with a smile and will even make little repairs, such as sewing on a button, if needed. I've also had my pants hemmed here with no issues. I took in a pair of pants and a shirt for overnight service. They accepted it with a smile, gave me some candy and said it will be ready tomorrow. I couldn't ask for more. read more

This used to be my go to dry cleaner for years until this last time. I brought in my burberry coat that the belt loop was pulled off by having the belt yanked off too quickly (i assume since it wasn't like that before) and came back missing one of the sleeve belts. When I asked her about it she looked at me as if I was lying and never did anything about it. At the same time I had my wool coat dry cleaned until which a button was torn off and she did a horrible job putting it back on right in front of me. That button came off the very next day that I had to fix myself. Also during this time she called me multiple times about other items that I just needed simple dry cleaning. On top of it all she over charged me then said she would give me a discount next time. There will never be a next time. Stay clear of this place if you want your clothes to come back undamaged. read more

Lost my clothes for several months the first time and kept telling me they did not have them. found my clothes after 2 months. Overcharged me the second time because employee did not understand what service I needed. In both cases, the daughter wanted to argue it was not her fault or problem. offered me a credit for $13 on a $30 over charge...keep the $13, I found a new cleaners. Lesson #1, customer is right or lose them to someone else. read more

I love this place! Not only have I been bringing my husbands shirts here for years, I've had a few alterations for my daughter done as well. I have been looking for a good dry cleaner and this place fits the bill. This business is a neighborhood business and is run by a very nice and hardworking family who strive to make every customer happy. In fact, they have gone out of their way to answer our questions and address any concerns we may have. Prices for dry cleaning is average, not the cheapest, but definitely not the most expensive. Alterations were a little pricey, but the work was done well and both myself and my wife have been happy with the work. They are more than happy to discuss their techniques for dry cleaning and why they have chosen certain techniques over others. Parking is easy and they have two reserved spots for their customers out front. We have been very satisfied and will return. read more

I have been using this place for four years, they are very reasonable with cost and do a good job with my laundry and alteration jobs.
