In Columbus for a work event and needed to find a place where I could bring a dozen people to. Called Parley around lunchtime and they happily provided me with a reservation. Parlay turned into a good option. While seating wasnt great for a large group, we were sat together and in a relatively quiet spot. Food options were good as we did have some dietary restrictions. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and then ordered dinners. Service was great. Beers were cold. And the food was good. As expected, tip was included. But they also added an additional technology fee. I had a party of 16 and struggled to find a restaurant that stayed open late and could seat us all on a busy Saturday night. Thankfully, I found this place! Josh (the manager) was amazing--he went above and beyond to accommodate our group and made sure everything I requested for the birthday girl was perfect. The food and service were both excellent! After a night out, there's nothing better than some comfort food--nachos, wings, flatbreads, salads, steak, fish, and those delicious desserts really hit the spot. Made reservations for a Saturday night while in town for a volleyball tournament. Was seated fairly quickly in a smaller glass room which was cool bc we had three 12-year-olds (I did call ahead of time and asked if if it was kid friendly and they said yes). Started with the Bang Bang shrimp appetizer. Was filled with flavor/sauce, but shrimp were a bit rubbery (maybe reheated). Garlic Parm wings were delicious, but pricey for 8 wings. Shared the Wagyu Brisket Flatbread and it was really good, but lots of BBQ. Nachos were decent - nothing fancy. The Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket didn't taste any different than the basic pigs in a blanket. Overall this place seemed to have typical bar food. Nothing knocked my socks off and it was pricey for a sports bar. Knocking it down a star bc waitress was less than thrillled to be there. Never cracked a smile. After a long drive I got into Columbus, Ohio for a conference and needed a decent bite. I asked the front desk attendant at my hotel where she recommended getting late night food and she pointed me to Parlay (not a hotel restaurant so I figured it was worth considering). After a 5 minute walk into the freezing cold I found Parlay, a very dark and lively sports bar. It just so happened that the USA vs Canada championship game was playing (we know how that ended unfortunately) and it really made the experience that much better. A random individual sat at the bar next to me and we instantly hit it off. I ordered chili nachos and he got buffalo wings. I offered to share my nachos, which were ENORMOUS by the way. It made sense considering they were charging $17 for them, but I would be lying if I said I didn't greatly enjoy them. He also offered his buffalo wings which I partook in one and found it to be delicious as well. That was my dinner for the evening and I was satisfied, but even more enjoyable was having a person to share food and watch an exciting game with, even if they were just a complete stranger. Man, I'm pretty torn on Parlay. I went with some buddies to watch a large sporting event. The venue itself is pretty awesome to watch a game -- they have a large bar top with tables on the outskirts, a main dining area with various tables, a few lounge areas with booths, and a couple of private rooms. All with TV's at every vantage point. I'm talking TV's spanning wall to wall, all of various sizes too. We got there right when it opened, and initially the service was horrendous. No one so much as even looked at us for about the first 15 minutes. It almost appeared that only the barbacks were on hand and they were anxiously awaiting bartenders to show up and start taking peoples drink orders, which very well may have been the case. Then, a bartender named Zach arrived and made sure we were taken care of the rest of the time. He did a great job of making rounds every so often just to ask if we needed something, which was awesome. They have a limited selection of draft beer, most of which are local or craft. No true domestic drafts outside of PBR, but they do have bottles. Also had a variety of canned seltzers. The prices range from $5-8 for a beer or seltzer. As others have mentioned, the game volume was VERY loud. We could actually tell the exact moment they turned it up and were left wondering why. We then had to make a concerted effort to raise our voices and intently listen to those sitting within a couple feet -- talk about annoying. If someone from the Peerless Management Group reads this, could you please consider reducing your noise pollution? We tried a 'Southwest Chicken' flatbread for $19. The menu claims it comes with mozzarella, provolone and pepper jack cheeses, corn, red onion and poblano peppers with a sweet and spicy drizzle and sriracha ranch on the side. The problem was, ours did not have pepper jack, corn, red onion or the side of sriracha ranch. Literally half of the ingredients listed were not present on the flatbread. It did for some reason have tomatoes on it though? Also, the chicken was in huge chunks and tasted bland and over-cooked. We expressed our distaste to our server who responded with "oh yeah, well the brisket flatbread is way better, next time get that." Lastly, the side that faces High St is essentially all windows which is great but it was remarkably colder than the other half of the restaurant. So, if it's cold out and you don't know where you'll be seated, you'll definitely want to wear something warm. Overall, this is definitely a great place to watch a game because of all the TV's and atmosphere (if you can put up with the noise). But, it's not the place to come for a date night or nice dinner (which you might consider given the menu items and prices). As my buddy mentioned, Parlay needs to decide if it wants to be a nice-casual restaurant, a true sports bar, or a sports club like something you would find in Vegas. read more

I had a reservation for 6 pm last night and while we were on the way to the restaurant at 5:40 pm, the staff called to tell me they had overbooked and were cancelling the reservation and I could be on a waitlist. Upon arriving I was told I could have a table but only for 1 hour because it was reserved for later which makes one wonder how they arbitrarily cancel some reservations and not others? I've now had two meals there in two days. Both were fantastic. I had a flat bread yesterday that was as good as any pepperoni pizza I've ever had and today I had their Barbecue wagyu brisket burger and it was great. Nice place to watch a game in the downtown area. No easy parking here and I don't believe they have valet parking. You almost have to make a day of it or have other plans to come down. A great spot for out-of-towers staying overnight for an event. Elevated BW3's. Buckets of beer get sent to your table with a sparkler like bottle service. Prices are on the higher side for a sports bar. Service is not the greatest at the bar. I like the atmosphere and the music blasting. The music gets turned off when the main event comes on.
