Great food service and atmosphere. The location is awesome and the Old Fashion was tasty.

We had a great dinner before a show at COSI, and it couldn't have worked out better. The atmosphere was lively, with the large doors open to the outside, creating a fun and relaxed setting. We ordered the Wedge Salad and the Fire Grilled Chicken Sandwich with a side Caesar Salad. The wedge was outstanding, topped with Nueske bacon, pickled red onions, crispy shallots, and tomatoes, with a delicious blue cheese dressing served on the side. The chicken sandwich was equally impressive, featuring aioli, thick-cut Nueske bacon, burrata, gem lettuce, and crispy ciabatta. The chicken was grilled perfectly, served thin and tender. And let's be honest -- everything is better with bacon. Service was excellent. Our server made great recommendations, the food arrived quickly, and the timing was perfect for making our show. Reasonable prices, great food, and a lively atmosphere. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend. read more

Parking is always the issue. So for $9 you can park and have dinner. Little west tavern is a cute place, nicely designed and decorated. Very friendly staff always available to help. Full bar so finding what you to drink is not a problem. Chardonnay is $16 a half glass. They have two soups and two salads to choose from. The entree list is limited. I ended up with the French onion soup and a wedge salad. Over all it was a nice meal. Prices were high but maybe because it's also a hotel. Nothing exceptional about the little west tavern though that's why I'm giving it three stars. read more

Service was great! Good options for different dietary needs. I had the smashed potatoes, charred broccolini, and salmon. I really liked the smashed potatoes and the salmon. I didn't eat the roe. I did send the charred broccolini back. Not because it wasn't good but for some reason the combination made me nauseous. But that's just me. The ambience is comfortable and cozy, the service is attentive but not overbearing, and different staff will sometimes come check on you to ask how you're enjoying your meal--I appreciated that! This was a very nourishing meal that really hit the spot on a stressful and intense trip. I really wanted to like Little West Tavern. The concept is solid--a wood-hearth neighborhood spot at The Junto Hotel with that independent American West vibe, indoor and outdoor seating, and a menu focused on wood-fired cuts and classic drinks. It looks and feels cool, and I can see why people would be drawn in. Unfortunately, the experience didn't match the atmosphere at all. I ordered the Tavern Burger and onion rings, while my friend got the crispy pork belly and a burger. The service was disengaged from the start, and the food timing was a mess. My burger came out first and was way overcooked. They had to take it back and remake it, which took so long that by the time my food finally arrived, my friend had already finished their entire meal. Everything just unraveled from there. The wait killed any chance of enjoying the meal together, and the burger (when it finally showed up) wasn't worth the wait. The vibe is nice, but between the poor service and the kitchen mishaps, nothing about this visit makes me want to return. Disappointing all around. read more

Popped in in a Tuesday night. Wondered who the band and roadies were and realized AC/DC was in town! Excellent service by Lauren. She was fantastic and ensured my slightly dirty martini was just perfectly slightly dirty The chef sent out additional fresh onion rings that were perfection. We ended up taking some home and they were still excellent the next day. Who ever says that?! I would go here just to get the onion rings. They are that good. Tortilla soup is excellent. Look forward to going back on a nice weather day when the inside/outside bar windows are open. Awesome spot. Love the Junto. read more

Well I accidentally set their menu on fire, and the staff was nothing but gracious and accommodating. So grateful because that could've ruined the experience. Karen was my server, and she was delightful, knowledgeable and gave great suggestions and prompt service. The gentleman in a vest also helped close my tab early when I had to run and catch a ride. The vibe is a fun western type scene. I ordered the crispy pork belly and it was marvelous. The arugula and picked onion were a perfect balance to the fattiness of the pork. Yum! read more

We came here after we left the arts festival on Saturday night. We had an 8:30 reservation and were seated promptly. The place is very nice looking. It wasn't overly crowded, there were a few empty tables. Everything that we ordered took a very long time to be delivered. Drinks, appetizer, and food. Also, the menu didn't match the one online. I was looking forward to the prime rib dip, but it wasn't on the menu. My wife was going to get a filet, but they ran out of that. So we settled for something else. I believe that the menu was shortened because of the arts festival crowd. But, like I noted, it didn't seem overly crowded for everything to take so long. The food was really good. I settled for the fish sandwich and fries. The meal tasted great. I don't know. If we're in the area maybe we'll give it another chance. The thing is, we're in this area only when there is some type of event happening. And if that really slows service, it's not worth it. read more

Oddly had more ice than drink, but the flavor was good. Sister ordered a firing squad, chilled no ice. She said it was good. Apps: Bacon Caesar- our server was kind enough to split it on half. It was a wedge salad which was not what I was expecting when ordering a Caesar. The bacon, anchovies nor lettuce was cut. Bacon was under cooked. Also ordered the Biscuits, which were good. We both ordered Super crunchy wings- they under cooked and underseasoned. But that seranno Buffalo sauce was DELICIOUS. I've never had anything like it. It took the wings from 1 to 4 (on a scale of 5). Good service- Jayla was nice and accommodating, knowledgeable about menu and had recommendations. The manager was kind and stopped to check on us. They both offered to bring us something more appeasing off the menu, but we declined. Nice ambiance. But overall, our dining experience was underwhelming. Little West Tavern is like the cool, well-dressed cousin who somehow pulls off being classy without being pretentious. Tucked into a boutique hotel, it nails that upscale-tavern vibe ... rich woods, flattering lighting, music you actually want to hear, and a room that feels both laid-back and "you could close a million-dollar deal here." The service? Spot-on. The food? Let's just say, from the steaks to desserts, salads to soup to apps to the lone hamburger on the menu (which deserves its own fan club), every bite was on the "very good" to "are-we-sure-this-isn't-a-steakhouse?" spectrum. Flavor layering is thoughtful without being fussy, and the side dishes are the kind of unique, chef-driven creations that make you feel smug for finding this place. And now, the comic relief: my guest simply wanted a few crackers for his excellent wedge salad (bacon!). Not a steak upgrade. Not truffle oil. Just humble crackers, the kind your grandma kept in a tin next to the sewing kit. Little West didn't have them. At all. Instead, after he finished they brought him a bowl of tortilla chips... and almost charged for them. That's right -- the world's first $5.00 cracker substitute. My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful lunch at the Little West Tavern! We knew it was going to be great when we called ahead to make sure they were open for the Fourth of July and Erica answered the phone and was absolutely tickled to know we were on our way from a protest to have lunch. When we arrived, she had already told our waitress, Nichole, and she welcomed us like we were lifelong friends! The recommendation she made, the avocado and shrimp salad, was perfect on a hot summer day. We added the scrumptious macaroni and cheese because we wanted some comfort food, and it was phenomenal! The atmosphere of this cute little restaurant and bar was warm and inviting, and we will absolutely be back. The food was good, the service was above average. They open up all the windows  to give it the open air feel which is nice but they need to install air curtains to keep the flies out. We spent all dinner swatting them away. They have the big theater for cooking over the wood fired ovens but they didn't use any of them, all of our food came from the back. The prices have gotten out of control. a NY Strip is not $68, a dinner for two with a few drinks should not be $355 for this restaurant. Suggest hitting them up for happy hour menu / pricing, which is only good if you sit at the bar. This way you can enjoy the scene and not overpay. read more

Little West Tavern is a MUST try! It's located right outside COSI and is the perfect dinner spot. My fiancé and I noticed the open bar outside and had to grab a seat. We got a seat right at the bar our server greeted immediately. Karen was a phenomenal waitress and gave us all the details! Happy hour is every single day of the week Monday through Friday from 4 to 6 PM. We we're also told that happy hour runs all day Sunday, but only at the bar. (Menu is shown) . The food came out super quick and was very very delicious. The portion sizes were priced appropriately and so were the drinks. I got myself a Tavern old-fashioned and my fisnce got the firing squad. Not only are they a bar, but it is connected to the hotel (the Junto) and the rooftop bar (brass eye). Literally the perfect spot for downtown date nights & going out of town adventures. read more

I have been here a few times with colleagues, and we always have a great experience. The service is great - management does a round to make sure everyone is doing well & the service is as expected. You can see the chef cooking open fire, the portions are good sizes, and there are options for various diets. I had the rotisserie chicken this time, and it was cooked perfectly. It was a lot of food for me at the time, so I took some home & they made great leftovers. The biscuits are also a must! It's pretty dark and moody/woodsy ambiance. read more

I ordered the house salad and i would def order it again w extra peppers. The size was huge ! I didn't finish it w how large it was. My family and I went here the other week and were so impressed that I had to share this review. This beautiful modern vintage restaurant is located at the Junto hotel. The restaurant itself was gorgeous with top notch staff and service and even better food. When I tell you that I ate the entire bowl of loaded fries myself and half of my mom's sandwich in addition to my shrimp, that should tell you how great the food is. If you love a good sandwich, the chicken sandwich is a MUST. I think the sauce was a chipotle sauce and it might be the best sandwich I have eaten in Columbus. We are at the little west tavern while staying at the junto for a night in Columbus Ohio. It was connected to the hotel and we sat at the bar that night. We had drinks and food that night and our drinks were great. We got the tavern burger and sashito peppers. The sashito peppers were great and had a great sauce drizzled over the peppers that made it delicious. The tavern burger wasn't that great in my eye. It was a little dry and was plain that didn't differentiate itself from other burgers I have had. The service was great though. read more

This place is cute, and the food is decent. Their pepper appetizer is really good and for an entree I had the chicken sandwich. It was huge, juicy and pretty good. Oh I also had their bread appetizer which was probably the best part! The only thing I don't like is they only seat you if the entire party is there. I was with 5 other people who were all late, so I stood there for 15 minutes waiting on them. Could have had a cocktail in that time, ha! All in all I'll come back. First time coming to Little West Tavern and I was pleasantly surprised! I love what the City has done with Franklinton to date. Plenty of parking on the street with a parking garage a block away. This is a beautiful bar/restaurant on the ground floor of the Junto Hotel. I parked on the street at a meter, but it was only for the last hour & a half of the required time. I met Gwen W for dinner and we both wanted the Restaurant Week menu choices. I had a lovely cocktail, the Gold Rush. I selected the House Salad, which was delicious; the jalapeno vinaigrette was not too spicy. The Chicken Under a Brick was a nice portion of chicken atop sourdough, and whipped potatoes. My dessert was a Winter Citrus Tart. My meal could not have been better. Our server was very sweet. I would love to return for a meal and to sit at the cozy bar. read more

SUPER cute establishment! Glad we're hitting up all the fun spots at this hotel. Reservation on a holiday and sat at the bar. Queso and chorizo dip for an app and another one that's basically a cheese dump on top of amazing fries and spices! YAS please and thank you! I threw back glasses of cab while my husband had wine and a couple of mix cocktails created by the bartender himself. So good! The host was a gem so professional and friendly. Definitely this bar is the top of our list at the El Junto property. We'll be back to check out all others including Maudine's the coffee house. I swear I'm going to pack up my laptop and drive across town to do work here in the lobby with multiple charging stations and grab me a cup of joe here. The valet guy was super nice and we were ubering. Still - very professional and had a nice personality asking about our visit when we were killing time for our driver. Since I'm not in Franklinton very often, I took the chance to check out Little West Tavern for (614) Restaurant Week with a friend. There's quite a bit of metered parking around the restaurant (via Columbus Park Mobile app); there's also garage parking. Inside seating isn't huge. This restaurant is on the ground floor of a hotel - to the left when you walk in - and separated by a wall and door for noise control I'm assuming. Walk across the open lobby to the other side of the space, and there's the hotels coffee bar/breakfast area. The restaurant part has a front outdoor patio with large open-air windows for indoor/outdoor seating to the main bar inside. Our server gal was very nice. She gave us time to decide on drinks, and gave her honest opinion about a few entrees I was questioning. It was (614)'s winter Restaurant Week, you can see in my pic the only choice was the entree, and I went with their Lamb Cassoulet. Excellent house salad! The toppings paired well, and the jalapeño dressing had a spicy pop to it that tied it all together. I wasn't impressed with my cassoulet at all, most all of it went home for leftovers. I was really bummed in the seasoning dept; there were literally no flavors to pull out. Even the lamb sausage was super bland. White beans are known to not have much of a distinctive flavoring solo, so I expected them to get spiced/seasonings too, but they didn't. My winter citrus tart was good. The graham cracker crust was maybe a tad bit too compacted and hardened. Overall tho, a somewhat redeemer to end the meal. read more
