The quality of care and attention she and (I want to say Alex, but I never officially asked his name) paid to everyone in the salon was second to none. I've been getting my hair done, off and on, since I was 14. 18 years later, this has been my best experience. I will recommend this place to everyone I know, and sing her praises for years to come. We came for the hair extensions and left with a new outlook on what hair care can be, and life in general! Everyone has the potential to be as wonderful as Margie, but not everyone puts for the effort. I am so grateful to have found her. Plus, the Alice in Wonderland theme is ridiculously adorable! Although Sonia did my hair, her awesome mom came out of retirement for a day to be a part of my first perm! Hot Damn Sonia! You don't disappoint! I'm officially convinced that you are a Wizard! So, my fellow helpers, my Mommy came to town for a much needed visit. She looked at my hair and said, " wow, you finally let someone have fun with your color" (I forgot to send pictures to her) she then mentions that she needs to get her hair trimmed when she gets back home. A few years ago she moved to Ventura and so she lives 2 hrs away. I said "Oh no Mommy, I'm texting Sonia ASAP." She was able to fit my mom in yesterday. I told my mom just sit back and let Sonia be Sonia she will give you something that looks great! Sure enough Sonia NAILED it. The smile on my Mom's face when I got home was straight up ear to ear! She was shaking her hair around and feeling great! And she was looking great! My mom has the most beautiful shades of colors that also glimmer in the sun! Magic! Margie is amazing! So ever since my regular hair dresser retired, I've searches up and down for a good hair dresser who knows how to deal with my unruly hair. After enduring multiple bad haircuts, and trying out multiple hairdressers, I finally found Margie who does it RIGHT! I'm probably the laziest person when it comes to dealing with my hair. I came to her to get extensions (having had bead extensions in the past and hated them) I needed to try tape extensions. She did such and amazing job I felt so pretty . So I decided to get a new fresh look just because I needed a pick me up. Loved how Margie was very attentive & felt very welcomed. Margie did this cool thing with my hair called a soft balayage. The salon is located in the Phenix salon suites, I was a bit confused when I walked in since there are many suites but I loved the concept of having different concepts in the different suites i.e.) nails, eyelashes, massage. I am speechless! Margie goes above n beyond her line of work! She responded to all my Yelp and text messages promptly (even late night messages), and her dedication to what she does is very transparent even through a text... Her availability worked just great with mine and after two days of texting back and forth I met Margie and I felt like I knew her since forever. The only little issue I had was finding the place I was looking for the name on Yelp however the sign that says "Phoenix Salons" all you have to do is go up the multiple flight of stairs make a left, go through the double doors, once inside they are individual businesses, make a right a quick left n Margie's suite number is 131 (right side). It had been many years since I've invested on my hair let alone go to a Salon having three kids I never have $ for myself... Margie did an exceptional job my eyes got watery that's how happy I am, I just wanted to cry of pure happiness! I went in wanting an ombré color she did a sombre and schooled me on the difference.
