Parlor Doughnuts is hands down the cutest and most aesthetically pleasing donut shop I have ever stepped into. The service was wonderful, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The woman who helped us gave me a couple mini donuts for my baby, which was beyond sweet and thoughtful. My husband and I are HUGE on savory, and wasted no time trying out their Chicken Bacon Ranch and Pig & Fig donuts! The Chicken Bacon Ranch was a 10/10, super flavorful and exactly what I had hoped it would be! My husband was definitely jealous of my donut and wished he had picked the same. However, he still enjoyed his Pig & Fig and said it was pretty tasty! As for our sweet choices, we ordered the Blueberry Cheesecake and the Carmel Bourbon! The Blueberry Cheesecake donut was delightful! I think it could be a little sweeter along with extra blueberries to top it off but definitely a win for those who prefer a lesser sweet option. For the Carmel Bourbon my husband said was delicious, fantastic, and satisfied his donut craving. Lol. We will most definitely be returning to this establishment!

Horrible service. First we walk in and 80% of the donuts are out of stock. Then we go to take our order and we stand there for 5 minutes while the person who finally served us was just walking around and talking to her coworker. My boyfriend orders his food tell him I will get my own, as I tell him that she looks at me and acknowledges that I am ordering next. It comes to be my turn and she makes eye contact at me and a continues to let me stand at the register while she walks around. I wanted a soda but turns out they are out of carbonation. We sit down and almost all tables are dirty. I bet my food and the box is covered in stuff. We waited 10 minutes for my boyfriend's donut that he never got and then he had to ask for it. Should have never changed from hurts donuts to this.

After visiting we learned that the owner started this coffeehouse/bakery/art gallery as a place her son (with special needs) could work after high school. Moxi hires individuals with special needs to work as baristas and bakers. What an awesome concept! As someone who used to work with individuals with special needs, finding employment after high school was over was one of the biggest obstacles - this is the kind of business we need to see more of! They have delicious looking treats and lots of seating upstairs and down. Fun rockers adorn the front porch that invites you to come an stay awhile. Laren opened the door and greeted us and the barista was very informative and answered all of our questions.

They have a few items on the menu for breakfast but the only thing available that day was one cheese and broccoli egg bite. I paid almost $4 for one microwaved egg bite and they weren't kidding, it was "A" bite. No more. The salsa cup it came with was bigger than the bite itself and neither tasted good. Very bland. I included a photo just as it was served to me for your consideration. The Mexican joint less than a 1/2 mile away serves up fantastic 1/2lb. breakfast burritos for just a couple bucks more. I gave them two stars for ambiance and hope that they get things worked out. I didn't try the coffee or tea so my review is limited to just that one bite.

(I used to live in Wichita back in the Eighties, and learned to love bierocks during that time.) Well, shiver me timbers and call me Petunia, honey, but I sure as git-out didn't go into Want Bierock Company to be pummeled with loud "Christian" music and a plethora of self righteous placards urging my conversion. To quote fellow Yelper Mindless M.'s review, "Well, the new owners change it for the worst it's now a Christian coffee shop ('cause we don't have enough of that in Kansas...) and they made it really bad where it feels like they're shoving Christianity in your face they changed the decorations to Christian stuff and constantly play Christian music no one wants to be there even if they liked the coffee because everyone who comes in there feels so much tension from staff" The front door had a sign encouraging us to take off our masks (!!!) even as COVID-19 numbers surged in Sedgwick County, and the reading materials placed out among the pieces of used furniture inside the restaurant (no joke!) were all far right wing conspiracy rags. Here's the whole megillah: I don't want to eat in Muslim restaurants that has Islamic prayers and chanting during my meal. (And yes, I've encountered that once, as well. How hard is it for some folks to leave personal religious crap out of business?) I also don't eat out to see and hear THIS kind of tommyrot. I go out to eat to enjoy my friends and their company, after all. I do NOT go out to eat to be proselytized, nor to be a captive audience for sectarian music, no matter its origin. Five stars for the bierocks we got. (They were hot and filling and tasty. Yum.) One star for the rest of the experience -- self righteous and ham-fisted proselytization efforts all included. Two Yelp stars across the board -- mostly for the sake of the bierocks. Please do better.

It's not a knock on the city, it's just that it's a 9 hour drive from Houston! I found this gem on a recent road trip through the Midwest. I was making a drive from Dallas and used ChatGPT to find me the best coffee between Dallas and Abilene, KS. Reverie Coffee Roasters popped up and Yelp reviews looked favorable so I plugged it into the GPS. I don't know the area, but it seemed to be located in their downtown area right off the interstate. I found street parking right out front and unsure if they have a dedicated lot. This place was alot bigger than I expected. Walking in is like a storefront with coffee and merch for sale, as well as where you order. Then they have a huge dining area with lots of seating as well as a patio out back. It looks like a perfect place to catch up with your peeps, read a good book or study. It was busy so the staff was straight business but in a polite and helpful way. They started off as a wholesale coffee roaster. They source their coffee from all around the world. On my visit, I saw coffees from Columbia, Guatemala, Mexico, Ethiopia, and Nicaragua. They also offer every type of brewing method like pour over, drip, chemex, cold brew, French press, etc. The fact that they do all that different sourcing and preparation methods shows me they care about putting out a superior product. My original plan was to grab a cup of joe and keep it moving to my destination, but after walking in and seeing they had nice looking pastries, I decided to get my order and enjoy it there. I love all things s'mores and saw they have a s'mores latte. I had to get it. Another weakness of mine is cinnamon rolls. I saw it on display and had to have it. They heat it up before serving it. I was able to find a cozy corner of the restaurant. My order got called shortly after. The latte was amazing. I could taste the little nuances of a s'more. They even topped the drink with a marshmallow drizzle. I savored that drink. Now let me sing the praise of that cinnamon roll. Hands down the best cinnamon roll I've had. This was a brioche cinnamon roll. They heated it up just right and the icing was just gooey enough without running off the roll. It was soft and oh so delectable. The sweet icing didn't mask the delicious buttery brioche either. Bite of that, then sip of the coffee was a match made in heaven. I had no intention of finishing this generous portion, but I simply could not let it go to waste either. Needless to say, I was on the struggle bus driving on to my next destination. If somehow I could replicate this place and put one in Houston, I would be the happiest man. I will most definitely come back through next time I drive through Wichita!

The hazelnut option available was sugar free, but it did not have the weird aftertaste a lot of sugar free options do. Overall, a delicious latte and solid service.
