As our little girl is getting older, my husband and I started cooking all of her meals (she no longer eats any kibble. Honestly if you want to know, a lot of dog food out there is actually poor quality which actually could be a large contributing factor as to why your pups are getting sick. I have been told by a few veterinarians that if you were to cook for your dog, it would most likely eliminate most needs for any digestive issues and diet related problems that pets have). And because she is on a particular diet, we don't typically purchase treats for her anymore. But have discovered this brand of chicken chips, as the only ingredient is just chicken. Nothing else is included (Farm to Pet is a larger brand that also has single ingredient treats but surprisingly it is cheaper per ounce to purchase this brand). So we come here to purchase these chicken chip treats for her (surprisingly only a few places sell this brand online... and although we may rely so heavily on Amazon to purchase anything and everything, they don't sell this brand). She just loves these treats and I feel good knowing that I can give her these treats and that they are shelf stable (although we do make her chicken, it stays in the fridge. This is nice that I can pack some of these chicken chip treats in a small container and put them in purse so that I can have them on hand for her when we are out). We have also purchased other treats for our little girl in the past (when we were not cooking for her before) and have always had great customer service. We are always greeted by an employee, no matter if we enter in the front or the back. And also having a friendly employee who greets us and our little girl at the register. Overall, this is a great pet store and am glad it is here.

i want to preface this by saying i am a nervous wreck whenever i leave my dogs with anyone besides…read morefriends and family, so finding sitters / boarding we trust has been an ongoing struggle, especially for two dogs. my babies rosie and hank have been going here for the last few years, and we've really come to love and trust this place. hank is a super friendly goofball who always acclimates to groups easily, but rosie is a little nervous gal so she takes a bit to warm up to the group. sometimes i'll watch her on the doggy cam and she'll just be sitting in a corner watching everyone play. but after a few days, i've watched her get used to her new dog friends and even start playing! i don't think that would be possible without the owners and staff creating a caring and warm environment for them. also once i checked the cameras and i saw someone sitting on the floor while all the dogs piled onto them and it was the funniest / sweetest thing i've ever seen. a massive cuddle pile full of happy dogs with wagging tails. they won my trust completely after that. thank you for creating such a wonderful environment where both animals and their owners feel safe and cared for. it's a rarity in this world!

And further, the staff is the most consistent. I have gotten to know a few of the staff including Alyx and Nicholas. They have helped me countless times when I stop by for in-store pickup orders or just a random stop-in for something I ran out of. Just the nicest people who love animals. I've only had positive experiences at this store and with everyone who works there. Inventory on hand is also usually consistent/good. They do seem to run out of doggie shampoo/conditioner more than other products I usually look for, though. Not sure why. The parking lot is a bit small but that is outside of their control due to the layout of the plaza in which Petco is located and shares with other businesses. I am beyond disappointed…read more I have been following Rocky Kanaka for years and years. So when I found out he had a doggie bakery by me, I was ecstatic!! My boy, Zeus' 13th birthday was coming up. We decided to do a small photoshoot with him and wanted a doggie birthday cake. I spent alot of time on their website but decided to come in to take a look at what their options were instead. When we first came in, I already mentioned to my husband I didn't feel comfortable coming in here. I don't know what's going on but the employees just stare at you. They don't greet you, they don't smile or welcome you in. The whole interaction was extremely uncomfortable. We decided on a medium heart shaped (6 inches) original wheat free cake with carob siding. We also decided on blue text that said "Happy 13th Birthday Zeus!" We ordered a dozen confetti paw cakes for some of his furry friends. A week later, on the day of pick up, my husband notified me they had used the wrong color for text (brown instead of blue like we wanted). I appreciated the lady who helped because my husband saw the color was incorrect, so she went to the back and had it fixed asap. She also even threw in a free candle for the inconvenience. This was truly the only thing appreciated throughout this whole experience. What I did not appreciate, was they smeared the brown text off the cake so now the cake looked dirty and smudgy. They did not attempt to make the cake look nice. They did it as quickly as they could. There were brown smudges all over the cake and this was unacceptable to me as we had our photoshoot for him in just a few hours. My husband tells me the woman goes to the back and he can hear her yelling at someone saying how they've kept messing up these orders lately. Why are they allowing the person to do this job if he keeps messing up the orders?? I understand accidents happen, and she tried to alleviate the situation, but the cake was still unacceptable to me. It was not presentable. When I called in to explain to the man on the phone why the cake was unacceptable, he responded with "ok." NO resolution. NO apology. I requested for a new cake but we ran out of time before the photoshoot. I do not recommend this place. There are plenty of other mom and pop shops who will treat you better than they treated us.
