Pretty small shop, easy to miss & hard to find parking. However, quality of hay is better than most places. I come here for the alfalfa hay. They're stored in large garbage bags and priced at $5 per bag. A bag normally lasts my 3lb bun 3 weeks! Sooo worth compared to chain pet stores. They also take cash only! read more

Great little place. Stocked and organized. Friendly and informative staff. Selection seems great, depending on what you're looking for. They seem to carry lots of chicken items, but also have select items for other birds. I needed some feed for our zebra finches and they had a 25# bag for $26. Definitely cheaper than anything on Amazon and the mix in the feed is great too. Grabbed a large dog bone for only $15! It would have been twice the price anywhere else. The associate who rang me up also carried my bag out to my truck for me and then helped me back out onto the busy street they are located on. Top notch all the way around! Definitely recommend. Will be back for sure. PS: some other review said cash only, but I used my debit card....so they take it all it seems. read more

My husband & I recently became chicken owners and happened to come across Wes's Pet and Feeds thanks to a friend who spoke very highly of them and boy were we impressed! They have a great selection of feed , food containers , etc. & are priced reasonably. We absolutely love how informative they are and extremely helpful! They are a small family business but they dedicate their time and effort into this store and it shows which we absolutely love! Definitely going to be coming back soon! 10/10 recommend read more

The smallest, coolest feed store in the area. With the best prices and the friendliest employees. A HUGE selection of everything farm and feed. Fresh eggs daily also! I drive further to go to Wes's for the better experience. Keep up the great job! read more

A nice quaint pet store with the essentials you'll need to keep your small pets happy, healthy and full! Great service with a smile, a nice selection of feed, hay, bedding, and other small animal necessities, and even some chicks and other small animals to buy if you're looking for one to take home! For me, I came looking for timothy hay for my rabbit, since a big name brand box of hay I had went bad and disappointed me. The timothy hay sold here came in big trash bags and $5 each. The quality was definitely much better than the boxed hay I had, and the coloring was not depressing either. The staff was super helpful and made sure I had everything taken care of. Parking was available in front of the store, though if you park head in be *very* careful when pulling out as you'll be going into oncoming traffic. read more

We are in the process of researching backyard chickens. My children enjoy coming here and looking at the available female chicks. I was able to ask the nice lady that works here a lot of questions about chicken husbandry and she was really nice about it, and patient. This is probably the closest place for me to get supplies, or I have to drive all the way to Pomona. Great! And the staff is very well versed in bird husbandry. read more

This business is awesome! Can I leave a 10 star review?! They have assisted me throughout my "bird" journey from its tik tok inception (over a year now) with information, tips, and resources. If I lived an hour away I would happily drive the distance to visit this shop and the owners. They have a great selection of items at an even better value. And offer a wide ranged of birds for sale. Everyone is always friendly and it's a plus when the owners and employees remember you and your feathered babies. Plus, who doesn't love seeing the baby chickens when you first walk in?! Tooo cute! Cute little feed store that is family owned and operated. We bought 3 chicks from here which were not sexed and it was stayed. Thankfully a YouTube video on how to sex chicks by their wings helped. Only reason I took off a star was due to everyone being able to handle the chicks freely, which isn't good for them with so many people handling them. Otherwise awesome read more

Street parking or about three spots available in front of the store. Small shop but full of love!!! In the front, you'll be greeted with cute chicks of all kinds. As you walk towards the back, there will be a variety of birds, and more chicks. As you walk outside, in the back, you'll find various animals depending on what they have (goats, turkeys, chickens, etc etc). Very well kept and clean. Lots of food varieties on sale. You'll find all sorts of stuff from fly traps, to candy, giant bags of worms, etc etc. The best part about this place is the amazing customer service. Everyone is super sweet, helpful and gracious. This place is a chicken ladies dream! They have a great selection of chicken breeds that changes on a weekly basis. I had called several places trying to find olive Eggers and or Easter eggers to no avail. This place not only had them but had everything I needed for my new chicks and my laying chickens. Their customer service is amazing. The lady that helped me was not only knowledgeable but friendly and willing to answer all my questions. She was even great with my son which I appreciate because he was really excited and had questions of his own. This will definitely be my new go to place! read more

There was a groomer there and I asked if they can do a nail trim, (which I usually do myself or regularly at the vet) My frenchie is a 4 yr old 18lbs dog... a little bit on the hyper side but the groomer lost his patience and had an unnecessary attitude. To the point of claiming my frenchie 'bit him' (He does NOT bite) I was there, my daughter was there, and Javier was there if he needed help to get him settled we were all there. At the same time, if you CAN'T do it, just say so and keep it professional. I mentioned to Javier that I regularly take him to the vet for a nail trim and the groomer's words were "there's also plenty of vet techs to assist in holding him down!" That was unnecessary banter and again if you CAN'T do it, just say so and keep it professional. Aside from that, I WILL def be returning regularly for self service wash because everything else is great! I came here twice. The first time we walked around to look at the animals they had in the back/side area and see what they carried so I could plan on what to buy in the coming months. It's not a very big store and there's only like two parking spaces plus a handicapped spot. I had to wait for assistance and even when I did get to talk to someone, I felt like he was not very interested in helping and was too busy looking at his phone. When another lady walked in he helped her right away and was very friendly to her. I think maybe she was a return customer. But I didn't get a good vibe and didn't feel very welcomed. Still, I came back a second time. This time I was a more informed shopper and had gone to another place already. So now was my time to comparison shop. Their prices on the chicken feeders, ceramic egss, meal worms are all too pricey. I found them somewhere else, also local, for less! I can also fine chicken feed for less elsewhere. And this time, the same salesperson did answer some questions and smiled. But he still appeared a little disinterested in gaining my business. So, I won't be shopping here even though it's a lot closer to me than another feed store. read more

I got 10 of my birds from here, and I just keep going back for more! Sometimes you can find a gem or two, like my Silkie doves. I also got a lovable and super friendly pigeon that does tumbles in the air and likes to show off! When ever I go in to get bird seed I have to wander the store to see what other treasures I can find! Wes's often has bunnies, baby chicks, hens, roosters, pigeons, parakeets, and various other types of birds. I have even had a partridge chucker from them. Unfortunately she is no longer with us, but was a pleasure to have and experience none-the-less. The customer service is wonderful as well. I was looking to add canaries to my flock and the gentleman took down my name and number and said he would call me if he could get some. In no time at all I became the proud owner of a lovely, chubby, red female and a bright yellow, sweet singing, male canary. I am happy to say that the female has been nesting for almost a week now, and we hope to hear some small little peeps very soon! I went to Wes and was greeted by a nice young gentleman, Devin (spelling???). He was knowledgeable, friendly, and informative. On top of that, he was VERY honest. I asked if he sells mealworms. He said that, his mealworm is higher priced than other places, to the point where he can't mark up the price to a healthy profit. He advised me to get it from other place who sells mealworms for cheap. I liked him immediately. He also took time to explain the differences on each chicken feed. The week after, I came back because I ran out of my feeds. He remembered me! I will keep coming and support this small business!! It feels so good to support a mom and pop store like this where the owners/employees treat you like family and friends. read more

I can not say enough about the level of customer service that you receive at Wes's. I went in a few months back, and mentioned that one of my hens that I had purchased from a different feed store had only one eye and a crooked beak. He said no problem just bring it down and I will trade you for a healthy one. I made sure he understood that I had not bought it from him and he said that he did not care. My girlfriend would not me get rid of the hen but I have been a loyal customer ever since. They also offer a variety of other free services that you will not find anywhere else in addition to great guidance on healthcare and saving on feed. I have even been talked out of buying things I don't need! read more

I initially came unprepared as I didn't think the hay would be as big as it was, so bring a truck! You pay a deposit and they'll return it once you return the hay. It was right under $12 per stack. Once you pull into driveway to the industrial plaza parking, go all the way to the end. That's where they will be. Everyone was super friendly. I told her I would return with my daughter since I was buying the bird for her and wanted to make sure my kid could bond with the tame bird. I came in today and spoke to an older male who I believe is the owner of the store. I asked him if he could take the bird out to see if my child could hold it (remember it's a tame hand fed bird) the man declined and said "NO" then ignored me and went about his business. Unfortunate for him he lost a sale, not only was I going to buy the expensive bird, but also buy a cage, bird toys and feed. I guess he is not in business to make money?? Or maybe he was just having a bad day? Looks like I will take my kid to a bird store in Orange County and buy the bird and supplies there.
