PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Don't use this business! I brought my truck in for ROUTINE maintenance, nothing was wrong with my truck. It was just time for my regularly scheduled oil change and alignment. I I was told along with the oil change and alignment that I needed a new air filter. I was told they had the parts, but I sat waiting for the part's for two hours. They didn't bother saying that's why my car wasn't ready. It wasn't until I stood up saying I'll come back for the filter that the part guy showed up. I took my truck home and the very next day I notice when I started my truck, it was sputtering. I didn't think anything of it until I noticed it was becoming more and more persistent everyday. Then I noticed when I got on the beltway my truck was struggling to accelerate and vibrating. I'm thinking what is going on. I called the owner back and told him what eas going on. He said bring it back. I told him i just started a new and will call when I can take a day off. Over the next several weeks I started to realize it was the oil. They put the wrong grade of motor oil in my truck that's why my truck was sputtering at start up and while idle. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called the owner and told him that i think they put the wrong grade of motor oil in my truck and explained why. He immediately got defensive. Saying they put the right grade in according to the instructions.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I told him but my truck was fine and this was not a problem. He said to bring my truck in but if that's not the problem then I'll have to pay extra. How much you want to bet even if that was the problem they wouldn't admit it. And would probably charge me for unnecessary work to cover up the mistake. I said my truck is worse off than it was when I brought it in. It's the oil, mistakes happen. We argued because he didn't want to admit that it was the likely problem. I took my truck elsewhere and had them change the oil to full synthetic, which is what the maintenance schedule says is the required grade. Well, you guessed it, after the new changed oil , my truck is purring like a kitten. NO SPUTTERING!!! NO VIBRATIONS!! Pars put the wrong oil in my truck that could have caused serious damaged to my engine, if they didn't already. I'll have to wait and see. So, lesson learned, i dont care how many years a business tout family business or experience, they are hiring non skilled workers working on your vehicle. I brought in my VW Jetta TDI for an oil change. Since the TDI is a diesel engine with a diesel particulate filter (DPF), it requires oil that meets the 507 00 specification. 507 00 is "low ash" oil that doesn't clog the DPF. I made the mistake of trusting that they would use the correct oil, and only asked afterwards which oil they had used, since the invoice only said "5W30". [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I asked Ramin whether they had used 507 00 oil, he told me that "5W30" and "507 00" mean the same thing. This is not correct since not all 5W30 oil meets the 507 00 spec.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I pressed him on this, he kept insisting that 5W30 and 507 00 mean the same thing. I could never get a straight answer from him about whether they had actually used 507 00 spec oil.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ramin was polite, but he either does not know what 507 00 means, or he was trying to cover up the fact that they had used the wrong oil.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now I have to take the car somewhere else to get another oil change because I am very concerned that they put the wrong oil in the car. Got a nail in the tire of my Ford Focus. Called up Pars and they said to bring my car in the next morning. They had the hole plugged and my car ready to go after only 30 minutes and it only cost $15! I couldn't have been happier with their service. The waiting room at Pars is small and doesn't have fancy coffee machines or WiFi like dealership service waiting areas, but I didn't mind given the speed and quality of the service.
