Tim at Parsec is amazing he has serviced My breitling 2 times once after I dropped it on hard surface and broke a gear now my crown was loose and some moisture got into the watch. Tim took it immediately and got the moisture out and serviced it. He did it while I was waiting it took about an hour. Watch came back good as new and the price was way cheaper than Breitling who would charge $600 plus and take a year to get it back to me. Parsec will get all my business read more

Pathetic "business." Ruined my watch and charged me and arm and a leg for it. Literally came back in worse shape than it went in.  Paint missing from several numbers, Swiss parts replaced with parts from China, just looks like no care was given whatsoever. I would NOT go here or trust them to any repair. I dropped off a Guess diving watch that was given as a father's day gift to me from my daughter 16 years ago for some repairs plus battery replacement (ie so has had **many** battery replacements by other jewelers with the backing taken off/put back on through-out the years without any problem), and when I got the watch back supposedly 'repaired' (which was not cheap at all), not only was it not water-proof anymore, which I accepted, but then, a couple weeks later with **normal** wear the backing somehow fell off and got lost... When I dropped off the watch again to get repaired a second time, I was told that I was liable for this and it would be an extra cost, that the repair guarantee did not cover this... Now, the backing of a watch is not exactly easy to get off, requiring special tools, etc. Additionally the watch has a contiguous band, so the backing is the most unexposed/protected area of a watch in some ways---all of which I tried to rationalize with them, arguing that they probably had put it on loose to begin with---again watch backings do not just 'fall off' on their own...but none of which they were accepting to hear or agreeable to; instead blaming me that I had lost or damage it---I mean really, how does that occur?... Do they think I took a hammer to the back of my watch?!.. or maybe one night I was just bored, and thought I'd try to pry it open?!... I mean really, let's use some common sense and think about this---a repair person, who needs special equipment just opened-up the casing, and now the casing comes apart shortly after doing so, and its my fault?!... They only thing they could say over the phone is that their repairs go through "extensive quality checks, etc, etc" none of which they could specifically tell me about, but instead just relying on this broad nonspecific language that was supposed to reassure and convince me that they it wasn't their issue... I would agree with other posts in terms of the this company having the worst customer service ever---it doesn't seem like my experience was unusual at all. The proverbial icing on the cake however was appreciating that the person I was talking to could not appreciate/understand what I was trying to say, I tried to make a car mechanic example, stating that if someone was working on the engine recently, and now the hood latch of the car recently started not working, wouldn't one correlate that to something that recently happened, for which I was the person on the phone told me she "wasn't going to discuss semantics with me" and stated she would have a manager call back, for which she abruptly hung up the phone There's other watch companies in the Peoria area----if you truly want your watch fixed, go there instead--they deserve to go out of business. RESPONSE TO OWNER: I would check the watch's casing----it originally was supposed to be water-proof to 30 meters, so I don't know what you consider a diving watch, and yes its guess, but it certainly was originally water proof enough for routine swimming, water exposure etc. Additionally, in your own reply, you essentially acknowledge that the backing is hard to get off, so how do you think that I possibly damaged or hurt it myself with routine wear? You essentially just forfeited your own argument for everyone to see that there basically was not reasonable way that I did this. As a business owner, For a $50 repair, I seriously do not understand why you would rather volley back and forth on yelp, versus just saying "I'm sorry sir, we'll fix it..." Parsec may have the worst customer service i have ever encountered. I sent my Orvis watch to them to replace a worn band. Its a cheap watch i wear on weekends to knock around with and is nothing special. It took a week before they recorded it received and then they could not find the payment I had made after i asked them where my watch was. With added charges the $12.00 band cost me over $52.00 and after a few weeks - including contacting the company and Orvis, I still have not received the watch back. Today Orvis informs me i should have it back in another 8 to 14 days - for a simple watch band replacement. Parsec claims to have shipped it but of course they do not have any tracking information on their site. I have learned two lessons - never to send a watch to Parsec for any type of service and also never to trust Orvis for standing behind their customer service claims - and I buy a lot from Orvis - or I did. read more

I have a much loved travel-alarm clock tha none of my local watch repair people could fix. Wenger, the manufacturer, sent me to to Parsec Enterprises as their official representaive for repairs in the US. I sent it off and in due course received a reasonable invoice. Once paid, I needed to write back several weeks later to find out when I might expect it back. Every time I corresponded, I heard back immediately. The "bedside manner" is best described as succinct. It was also prompt, clear and accurate. My beloved clock arrived back literally shiny- as new, repaired and in absolutely beautiful condition. They even oiled the leather casing in addition to cleaning. Way exceeded my expectations. I am more than happy to work with a short communication style for the outstanding quality of work done. At first, I didn't know what to make of www.parsecent.com because of previous reviews. I did have concerns because of the delay in me getting an estimate and them not readily giving me a tracking number, once they reported the watch was in the mail. But, in the end it all turned out well. I received my watch back in 4 to 7 days as was stated to me and the watch appeared to shine in prestine condition. They even sent the damaged parts of the watch back to me. I guess to verify that the work was completed. Also, they replaced the battery free of charge. Absolutely, unequivocally the place NOT TO SEND in your watch for repair. Under warranty I sent in my Tommy Hilfiger watch ($80 new) and paid the $12 shipping and handling. I really should have listened to the reviews here, but I ignored them. I get an invoice for $38. They said "the hands" are not covered by the warranty. Below IS THE WARRANTY, which says nothing about the hands. I looked this company up on Google because i needed my Kate Spade Carousel watch repaired. I sent my watch in with original recipe to them as specified with a $12.95 cashiers check for the return shipping. I was told that my watch wasn't covered under warranty any longer and that a nominal fee would be charged for repairs. Well, please don't let the word NOMINAL fool you.. I received a bill for $189.85 dollars to replace the battery, crown, stem and Integrated (whatever that is). Please keep in mind that this watch only cost $250 brand new in the stores. After they deducted the $12.95 that I had previously sent, my bill came out to $176.90. I was very shocked at how expensive it was. I paid my bill but I feel as though they took advantage of me. I'm leaving this review in the hopes that other people will not make the same mistake as me. read more

I do attest to the previous reviews. You would think a company chosen by such higher end companies would be stellar in their customer service and repairs. I sent my watch in about two weeks ago. The status online was not updated to tell me what is going on besides that they have received my watch and is pending an estimate. I emailed customer service, and got a very sassy email back from the President of Parsec Enterprises saying that if they were to email everyone that they have received the watch, it would be a waste of their employees' time. One, I was not asking about why they didn't email me when they received my watch (which, they should since they are dealing with valuable watches here), and two, I was asking as to what the current status is. He told me that I will get my watch back in 3 weeks. Really, it'll take 3 weeks? I do believe that you should email a customer saying you have received their watch and provide them with the job number. This is what customer service is for. I was also told that under normal circumstances, you will not have contact with Parsec unless something is wrong. If nothing is wrong, you send in your watch, they do what they do without telling you anything, and you hope that in a month or two, a random package with your watch will appear in the mail. read more

I'm reading through these reviews and have to say my experience with this company was absolutely positive. I sent my watch in for a basic repair and returned within a week. I called to discuss my options and they couldn't have been more friendly. I typically bring my watches into the local Walmart or jewelry shop and inevitably have had to return it or even discard it entirely. Parsec has been in business a long time and I'm going to continue to support them. Very impressed. read more

i needed a small part for my watch and they wanted me to buy an entire new band. the part is called a 'keeper' and it was nice of them to tell me that terminology since I had no clue. but i easily found the part for 99 cents online. i really dont like to be forced to buy stuff i dont actually need, hence the 1 star review here. read more

What a complete joke for a company, and shame on the designer labels for entering into agreements with them. This company will not do anything they should do for warranty repair. I have a Nike watch and have been using Parsec to change battery, clean and even provide a new watch band. The services have always been impeccable and I wouldn't send my watch anywhere else. After writing this review and sending a few more emails to the company. I did get a response and received my watch back in a few weeks. Very happy and it's working now. I'd suggest getting it looked at a watch shop before sending your watch off because it might just be cheaper (shipping and handling) and you'll get it back sooner read more

Gave my watch to Kay jewelers in El Paso, and all it needed was a battery and a pressure test as it was a citizen dive watch. Received it almost a month later. The watch was running but the sweep hand was at the 7 mark and the side buttons to run the stop watch were stuck and inoperable where they worked fine before. Kay jewelers called them only to be told they must have broken it, which could only have happened from the inside. It was sent back. It was returned three week later. The buttons now worked but the sweep hand was still on the 7....no one at Parsec noticed this a second time? Kay jewelers apologized and sent it back again for a third try, overnighting it Monday. Kay called them Thursday and were being told they were checking the watch to see what it needed. Really? They already had it twice and all they had to do was reset the sweep hand to the 12.. Kay Jewelers told me parsec would send them an estimate for repair. What!!! I already paid for it and they screwed it up twice. Kay said they would pay anything extra. Still waiting in late January to get back my watch I sent them in early November. I might avoid these people. read more

I sent in a Lacoste watch under warranty to repair the stem crow that unexpectedly fell off. I sent in the shipping and handling fee of $15. It had been over a month and a half since I had sent the watch in and had not heard anything. I tried looking up my information on their website an was unsuccessful. I gave them a call and spoke to Tom. Tom looked up my information and turns out they recorded my email address incorrectly. Also, turns out that I owed them an additional about $70. Part of it (~$14) was for the replacement part and the rest was for service. They were changing the battery on the watch and had to perform other services in connection to that- I never asked for the replacement of the battery. Mr. Tom was not very helpful and instead of engaging into argument and trying to fight the charges any further I ended up paying the total amount. I know now that if I ever purchase another Movado watch and something happens to it I WILL NOT send to Parsec. read more

This is local for me and they have replaced my watch batteries in the past. It cost $11.00 and is done on the spot. However, I needed my watch repaired, hour hand had slipped. They kept it for 3 days, determined th y could fix it, and required me to pay $ 189.00 up front before they would do so. Kind of annoying. read more

My comments will echo many of same sentiments that have already been written: My wife purchased a Lacoste watch earlier this year. The watch stopped working after a short period. Assuming that the battery was dead, my wife took it to a mall kiosk where they attempted to replace it for her. However, the watch still failed to work. With no other recourse, she contacted Lacoste itself which, upon learning this was a repair issue, referred us to Parsec Enterprises who my wife, and I eventually once I had to get involved at my wife's request, contacted (on a side note: no one from Lacoste or Parsec ever made it clear to either wife or I that that was any chance that my wife's watch would not be under warranty upon their assessment of the watch.....otherwise, trust me, after all we have been through with both Lacoste and Parsec, we never, never, ever would have sent the watch. But away we went, sending the watch off to Parsec none the wiser about what was going to happen. Some five days after Parsec ostensibly received the watch, my wife received an email invoice from Parsec wanting to charge some $158 for a repair....approximately twice the value of the original cost of the watch (it's not an expensive watch....just one that my wife loves because of the design). My wife contacted Parsec to say, again, that the watch is under warranty and we shouldn't have to pay anything for repair. Without any independent substantiation, Parsec representatives claimed that the watch had been damaged thus voiding the warranty....a claim we were totally unaware of and as far as we know is simply a claim that Parsec made up on the spot. Because of the exorbitant repair cost, my wife directed Parsec to not repair the watch and to simply send it back to us (at which time we would find a reasonable repair place in the U.S. or Europe where my wife is from and have it fixed for a reasonable price). Parsec, at that point, stated that we would have to pay a $15 shipping and handling fee to send the watch back. Given that we were led to believe by both Lacoste and Parsec from the beginning that my wife's watch was under warranty thus justifying us to send it to Parsec, we outright refused to pay $15 and simply asked Parsec to send it back to us at a cheapest rate possible (at this point, this is a matter of strong principle for both my wife and I). They refused (more specifically, someone by the name of Heather refused....again and again). Thus, they will never send the watch back unless we pay $15....and if no action is taken in some 15 months (I was quoted by Heather), the watch will be destroyed. Naturally Heather spent an inordinate amount of time on the phone with both my wife and I (separate calls) reading us warranty fine print and company lines....but would not budge off of the $15 shipping rule regardless of the circumstances. In summary, this is quite the rigged system Parsec Enterprises has for making money off customers: extort them for unsubstantiated repair costs (for a watch that is worth half of the repair estimate), and if that fails, extort the customer (my wife and I in this case) for whatever you can get out of them....in this case $15....which is the amount they will get come hell or high water. Otherwise, the watch my wife unwittingly sent to them, at the request of Lacoste, will be held hostage until Parsec makes their money. This is, unfortunately, emblematic of the worst type of business practice. I would highly encourage anyone thinking of using this company for any sort of repair to please read on-line reviews first...and then, think again. read more

Parsec Enterprises watch services and their staff have been superb! I called ahead of time about my old Wenger watch needing a pin to connect the band to case. The Customer Service rep was very helpful and went above and beyond my expectations. She took my information and check to see if they had the part in stock or if they could get it. Due to it being an older model I did not expect to be able to get the part and the watch repaired. However the Customer Service Rep called me back the same day with great news. They did not have the original parts however they still could repair it with a sub part. I did decide to send the watch in for service since I figure it would be best for Parsec's technician to do the repair than myself. Also the battery had not been changed for sometime. The watch went out at the beginning of October. I received an email a few days after sending it stating they had received my watch and were forwarding it on for review. A day later I received another email giving me the estimated cost to change the battery, water test, clean the case and band, place band onto case and spring bar pin. The total was $53.60, which included return shipping and handling. The cost of this repair was well worth the charges considering all that they did, this being an older model watch and the excellent customer service I was receiving. I gave payment to proceed and seven days later my beautiful watch was back on my wrist looking great! I will for sure in the future keep Parsec Enterprises in mind for all my watch needs! read more
