Deborah Pernice was our designer; she was able to use her expertise and our vision to design a beautiful, family-friendly kitchen in our 2200 square foot house that has allowed us to host our large family. Deborah went to bat for us in designing and redesigning our floor plan to make us able to knock down a small support wall and add an island so that our kitchen is now completely open to an odd-shaped dining addition that was done by previous owners in an aesthetically-pleasing way. We love our kitchen and all the smart choices Deborah made, such as a stick-vacuum and electronics cabinet, lazy susan, and beautiful lighting options. I recommend Deborah if you are looking to design your kitchen or bathroom in the Northwest suburbs.

His language and demeanor for why he wouldn't work with us hurt our family and was shared while we were in our family room- we weren't expecting it and came to Abruzzo very excited with possibilities. I wouldn't recommend them to people who are exited about building something new or forming trusting relationships with people in your home.

Bolingbrook might be easier to access (there is quite a bit of construction around Schaumburg currently) and I would also debate it is not as busy as this location. However, I did notice the Schaumburg store is not only much cleaner and well maintained, but has way more showrooms and creative displays. I guess if I were buying or in a hurry I go to Bolingbrook and if I was meandering and idea hunting I'd go to Schaumburg. The reason why there are so many showrooms is because this store spans three floors and is in fact, one of the largest Ikeas in America! It is huge and even as a veteran Ikea shopper I still got turned around a couple times. One thing that's nice is this store has the ability to stock more items so I found they had all the items I wanted available. I also noticed this location appeared to have customer service at every corner. I don't know if it's because I went on the weekend but I was thoroughly impressed at how well staffed they were and how friendly employees were during our interactions.

The food selection in the grocery area seemed more limited, and the vegetarian options I was looking forward to purchasing were out of stock. There was some confusion for me regarding the signs near the restaurant promoting their plant-based hot dog. I went to one of the kiosks to order, but we couldn't find it anywhere.
