The place where all the magic happens...

A hidden gem and Eureka treasure, just off the main drag, that's been here since 1941. You go in, and the look hasn't changed much since then. I still remember back in the 70s as a kid, we would buy our candy here, and then sneak it into the movie theater across the street. They have a wide selection, and it is all delicious. Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, soft centers, hard centers, divinity, if you want it there's a good chance that they will have it. The prices are a little bit on the higher end, but this is definitely a case of you get what you pay for. These people blow corporate candy, ( i'm not gonna mention any names,, but their initials are S.e.e.s) Out of the water!! I will be back again and again. Thank you!

A true old school candy makers shop, seriously every imaginable type of sweet you can get here. This shop is like stepping back into a time warp. Walk up glass display cases loaded with sweet treats galore. This family run business makes a quality product in a multitude of ways. Fresh assortments of chocolates, truffles, fudges, jellies, nuts and crews, creams, crunches, filled and I'm sure I am even forgetting a few. Seriously, had a flashback of the proverbial kid in a candy moment just walking from case to case and the aromas definitely made me think back to a much simpler time. It was row upon row of candy goodness... Mix and match as you like at a flat $5 bucks a pound a the bag, a great way to sample as few or as many as you like. We were able to make an assorted sack of other own favorites from a single piece to as many as we wanted until we both had a really great variety each. A couple of pounds later of our fresh haul and we paid the kind lady and were on our way! They can also make custom boxes in numerous options for an an up charge. A really cool old fashioned candy shop, made locally and daily. Definitely worth a visit and stop by. 4 Stars plan to stop in again 00622

Can never go wrong and will never disappoint no mater what holiday your shopping for. The kind of home made Candy that makes it fun and enjoyable to treat yourself for no occasion at all. Come here for all Valentines boxes or make your own. Christmas offers special treats as well and they will ship anywhere. A must have for guests to take home with them. Hopefully they would consider being open during Arts Alive once a month! So many people walking right by... Born and raised here and Partricks Candy will always have a special place in my heart and that of all the locals who have been coming here and enjoying it for generations. A true local treasure from the "old days"

Milk and dark chocolate nougats, caramel marshmellows and milk chocolate with marshmellows inside.... I really like marshmellows.

I absolutely love this place. It's an old fashioned candy shop. There chocolates are so tasty. Try the cotlet. It's their take on a Turkish delight.

Ask the Community - Partrick's Candy

There was a Partrick's Candy store in downtown Napa for years. Anyone know if these stores are related? The Napa Partrick's made the best hand-dipped creams (Raspberry, Lemon, Strawberry, Chocolate, Maple, etc). Hoping it is related!

The word is that they were cousins to the Napa store owners. Not sure how much crossover in recipes? I want to know if they carry the ice cream also--but the yelp pics just look like chocolates...

Spent most of the tour hearing from the owner about how his workers kiss every one of your beans that come from plantations where even bullets were found in the beans the workers sort in the factory. Not once did he talk about the exploitation cocoa farms have for children in the country of origin, inclu ding child slavery or slavery amongst adults, nor the companies commitment to working with farmers who practice ethical trade. That lack of emphasis of the dialogue regarding human rights leads me to believe that acknowledging humans rights isn't something this company has even with their own workers. A bunch of people come in for a tour and the cafe workers who are pretty new to the front area have to be in charge of seeing about 15- 30 different orders with in 5 minutes and the front stage who makes below minimum of the cost of living has to be left felling supported? I wonder if all the staff working for you have even been on a sailboat or own one? It's on your logo after all. Or is it a simple nod to the slave trade being the reasons you are a millionaire? I think it would be amazing if this company could make products that do not include slavery or mistreatment of workers.

Parking is plentiful and the location makes it convenient to grab from downtown. My favorite part of the menu was that fact that you can order a flight of ice cream, which are priced at $6 for 4 scoops or $11.50 for 8 scoops. It's a GREAT way to have customers try different flavors without overwhelming the sample spoons (PS I don't think this place does samples). I ordered a 4 flight of Mango Habanero, Chocolate Hazelnut, Dream Sweet Cream, and Cherry. The Mango Habanero had a good occasional kick of habaneros in an otherwise sweet ice cream. The chocolate hazelnut was dark but not very nutty - I think it's a safe pick. The sweet cream tasted like a mcdonald's ice cream cone (but perhaps healthier), and the cherry flavor can be avoided as it didn't taste like anything close to cherry. The line was a little slower than expected, but the pricing is very fair, especially for the flights. Service was friendly, and I think their menu changes some flavors ever so often.
