We were visiting from the Portland, Oregon area & decided to stop at this location for pie. Home away from home! The ambiance is phenomenal, staff were friendly and helpful. Service was quick! The pie was next level world class. We tried both Gluten & Gluten-Free options for the Chocolate Silk Pie, we couldn't tell a difference. It was delicious! If you're looking for a great spot to kick back and relax with a nice slice of pie, highly recommend!

Unique tasty food and great friendly service. We try new foods every time we come here. Nice clean place to play games.

I was in town for my cousins graduation. This place was near our airbnb. We walked over after dinner and this place was actually pretty busy. It stays open late, the person who helped us at the counter was nice, and the pie was delicious. He and I got the peanut butter and chocolate slice and ooh man..smooth, creamy, rich but not too strong. I would have loved to come back and try some of their lunch food options. There just wasn't enough time. 10/10 would definitely come back.

This is probably one of the best pies I've had in my life. My friend and I were planning to share one sweet and one savory pie. Before leaving the place, we were going to sample a single bite of the sweet pie, but we ended up eating the whole thing. So we got another sweet pie for later that night. We tried the strawberry rhubarb, apple, and pumpkin coconut pies. The strawberry rhubarb had the perfect amount of tartness. You can never go wrong with an apple pie. The pumpkin coconut was such a unique twist on a pie. The flavors in this were top notch and was very filling. The best part about these pies is the crust. It's the perfect amount of flakiness with the right amount of salt. The inside of the shop is cute. There's board games and coloring sheets. I would definitely recommend making at stop at Humbolt Pies if you're in the area!

What a wonderfully amazing little place this is. I love, love, love the picadillo empanadas, and the green chili and pork, the beef pot pies and chicken all so incredibly yummy. Such a great, casual place to meet up with friends and colleagues. Good kombucha, coffees, desserts, salads, etc. I love this little spot and noticed that there's a Slice of Humboldt Pie, out at Redwood Acres Fair grounds. Not sure what their hours are but I'd most definitely stop there on a regular basis, as it's closer to my home. What are your hours in Eureka and are you serving the public at this location? ~Chef Laura

Ordered in the counter and will bring it to your table. Great quiche. Slice of apple pie is okay. Plenty of table. Quiet ambiance.

Found this spot as we were passing thru-wish we hadn't already had lunch! The savory pot pies looked delicious-we had peach crumble and pie cookies and they were fabulous! Definitely recommend, wish we were closer and could come back!

Veggie Pot Pie - 5" individual

I love pot pie so much, but I'm vegetarian and they're hard to find. While in town for the weekend, I started looking up vegetarian friendly places to eat. Imagine my surprise when there's a place with a highly favored vegetarian pot pie on the menu!!! I got that and the sweet arugula salad, both were delicious. My partner got two hand pies and he said both were great. We finished off the meal with a slice of lemon chess pie with the homemade whipped cream. Amazing meal, highly recommend. I might even come back for the pumpkin curry pie before the weekend is through. All the staff were very nice and the food was out quickly. They even have games you can play while you wait.

The corn masa cake base was delicious, and it was not over fried. The ground beef was seasoned very well, the veggies gave it a nice pop of freshness. The cheese was great, and I especially loved the sauce. The sauce just brought it all together. There was a little pile of jalapeño, onion, and carrot in the middle. I didn't touch the jalapeño. I tried the carrot and the onion, but they were too spicy for me. Not a big deal. It was a nice lite lunch, and with soda, tax and tip, the price was very reasonable. I definitely want to come back and try more items off of this menu. Thank you.

The first hiccup, was the restaurant is less than 10 minutes from our place, yet from the time I ordered to the time the food came, it was just under an hour. Plus, it was after lunchtime on a Saturday, which should've meant that the place should have been less busy That's a long wait for a short distance. The food itself was pretty good. My first order was the cod, fritters. The flavor was good. I could definitely taste the cod. What I didn't care for, was the texture. They were pretty gummy. I don't know if that's how they are supposed to be or not, but I was not a fan of the texture. They did come with a red sauce for dipping, but it was a bit too spicy for me. On the other end of the spectrum, however, was the curried goat, which I loved. I called ahead to ask if it was spicy, and they said, not really. And they were right. It wasn't really that spicy. It was a mellow spice that made my forehead sweat just a little bit, but well within what I like for spicy. The flavor itself was fantastic. The goat was bone in, but it was so tender. It was literally falling off the bone. Goat can be gamey, but this wasn't. It had a nice mellow flavor. There was also a gravy, which had a deep, rich flavor, and the rice had a good texture and a nice flavor also. It didn't taste like plain white rice. Overall, even with the delivery cost, the price was very reasonable. I would definitely order from here again, but the next time I would go into the restaurant instead of doing delivery. Also, while I liked the flavor of the cod, fritters, next time I would order something else. Thank you so much for an overall good meal.

We showed up at around 1:30 on a Saturday and tried to open the door to find it locked. We saw workers inside, so we were a little confused. We just waited outside for a little bit, trying to research another place to grab lunch. About five minutes later, one of the workers invited us inside. I decided to get the sampler platter. It came with plantains, jerk chicken, cod fritters, and vegetables. The sauce that it came with was so unbearably spicy, so I'd definitely recommend avoiding this if you can't handle spice. The food was something different than what I'm used to, but I really enjoyed the plantains! Service was on the slower side, and they forgot one of our dishes, which ended up being fine. The inside of the restaurant felt very clean and open.

It does take time (our order took about 20-25 minutes, but it sure was worth the wait. The Pupusas were amazingly delicious, and I believe like everything else, made from scratch (the pupusa shell was, too, but that was made ahead of time). So I understand it takes time. I had a Pupusa Taco (aka Pu-Taco), without cheese. The Pupusa pouch (or whatever it's actually called) has a texture and taste that I really enjoy. I shared two Empanadas, which were made of plantain, deep fried, topped with powdered sugar. One was filled with beans, the other cream. Both were way better than any donut I've ever eaten, and that says a lot - yummy! My husband loved his Pupusas, too, filled only with black beans. Two were a lot to eat, but worth every bite (according to him). Service was genuinely friendly and down-to-earth. I regret I had only this one chance to try their food. I hope I'm lucky enough to find a Salvadoran restaurant close to me, but it probably won't compare to this one. 5* (more if I could!).
