Party city is fantastic if your looking for decorations. They really have a great selection for every occasion. My big complaint is with their Halloween costumes. They look absolutely nothing like the pictures on the bags. Not just that there's a good looking model, but the actual item looks completely nothing like what's pictured. The costumes are super cheap and crappy, so poorly made, even if you're a super model they are going to look terrible on you. And it's impossible to figure out what size you might be. In one costume you're a medium. In another, you can't button up the medium to save your life. Annoying. Shop very early so you can return. read more

This place is the worst. I bought a balloon sign and when I got it home it read "CELEBRAT" instead of "CELEBRATE". Simple refund you think? Oh no. They told me that store policy requires me to call them first and then return the item the next business day so they could try to fix the problem. But my party was over by that time. No store requires you to call them. They said it's store policy. Two managers gave me such a runaround and would not even give me a store credit. They can keep the $13. This is a zero star store. It's my last resort when I need decor or supplies for an event. Party City is outrageously overpriced. If you tried decorating/planning an entire event by merely using their offerings, I'd feel sorry for your wallet! I needed some baby shower decor. It was so hard to find, so I sought somebody out for help. When I got there, I was so turned off by the prices. I ended up with only a banner and balloon. I spent over $200 on balloons only to deal with an extremely rude employee named Jasmin. I was missing a balloon that I paid for, when I told her she dismissed what I was saying and said the line to purchase is over there. I said I have my receipt it was already purchased. Well Jasmin continued to now raise her voice so I requested a manager and she continued to be nasty she has poor customer service skills and should not be working there if she is miserable. As I was planning a party, I had specific balloon needs. My daughter had made a request for a shark theme (school mascot) for her graduation party. I had searched online but only had a week. As I enter this store, it feels like most Party City stores. Lots of bright color, tons of merchandise. I didn't want to search so I made my way to the counter and started to look at the balloons on the wall. There was nothing with sharks or for graduation. Ok, I need to wait to ask. The employee finished with his customer and came over to me. When I told him what I was looking for, he informed me they didn't have graduation balloons this time of year but he was sure there was a shark. After extensive looking... nothing. :-( He then remembers to tell me they have no helium and don't know they will again. I came to learn there is a helium shortage... btw, other stores are out too. 3.5 stars Party products: They have a good selection of paper / plastic products for your party. Each season they have different patterns on cups/plates etc. If your having a big party prices add up. Sometimes they send online coupons but that's mostly at the time of Halloween. You can always sign up for their email coupons thru their website. Costumes: I always think that next year I will get creative and try a different place for costumes for Halloween, but that never happens. Ever since moving to FL, I have gotten Halloween costumes from them many times. Buying the costume last minute, make sure you check if all the items are inside, because I have gotten a costume kit previously and not everything was inside. That's why it's better to buy the costumes before all the good ones go and you can't get your size or gazillion people have tried it on. They also sell their products/costumes online, and most of the time the shipping is free on orders of $50 and higher. This is a good party store to get your different things for many occasions. However it's not for bulk buying for a huge party. For that I would recommend online websites or Costco for competitive prices. read more

Yelp has had several costume parties. As soon as I know the theme I head over to Party City. I've gotten hats, masks, a wig, make up, and so many other things. They have lots of costumes in stock before Halloween, but after that not so much. I recently went to a Yelp Masquerade Ball in St. Pete. I went to Party City looking for a costume. I didn't find what I wanted, but I was able to buy a few pieces I could use. I got an elaborate silver mask and a long black cape. They have all kinds of decorations, balloons, candy, everything you'd need to decorate for a party. There's plenty of reasonably priced items, depending on what you're looking for. The cashiers are friendly and helpful, but I rarely see anyone offering to help on the sales floor. It's a fairly large store and it would be nice if there was someone to give directions and answer questions. read more

This location not only has poorly trained employees, but they will overcharge you without conscience or concern. We bought a bunch of stuff that included 2 balloons. We came back to get the gallons that we already paid for filled with helium the next week (for the Emmy as we planned), and they would not fill them until we paid $12 to fill 2 balloons we already purchased from them. Absolute robbery. And they are not nice to customers either. It's like they are doing you a favor by letting you by from them. Do what we you have to do to avoid this store. I paid an extra $20 to have my daughter's graduation picture had sent before her graduation. They told me it would be expedited and it would come at a certain date when the date came and I received no pictures. Customer service told me that I should have added five days processing time, but if I pay $20 to have my pictures expedited to me then the date that you tell me that they are going to come in the dates that you show they will come on your website should reflect the five day processing time if it does not reflect that time then You are false advertising. There should be no small print underneath. You should not have to scroll through and read, it should automatically say the processing time the added five days to the expedited time. I will never shop at party city again, and I hope nobody ever shops at a place that is misleading and tries to take money from innocent customers in the economy that we live in. read more

Party City is a very good place to assemble a costume for any occasion. They are a little over-priced but where can you go for a mustache when you need one at the last minute. They have candy as well. There are several locations around the area for your dress-up needs. You can find most any costume you can think of if you're willing to pay the price. They have make-up, false teeth, all the stuff for a party. I would recommend them highly. The staff is very helpful and if you give them a choice from their extensive selection on the wall, they will put it together in a package and you're out the door in a matter of several minutes. Although the purpose of this review is for the Halloween season, I will say that my wife and I come throughout the year for balloons and party decorations and almost always find what we are looking for and at a reasonable price. So it should not have been a surpise that for Halloween, this store is fantastic. Well organized and well staffed this place has plenty of costumes and decorations. Additionally, if they don't have a costume in the store you can always jump online and order it directly. Worst customer experience ive ever had. Had to wait in line to pay for 15 minutes because the employees were all in the balloon area mingling and joking around with each other. There wasn't even a line, there was no reason I had to wait that long. They would constantly come back and forth behind the counter so they knew I was there and wouldn't even say they would be right with me or anything, they would just go back and forth. Cashier didn't apologize or interact with me at all. I never write bad reviews and many times I understand that people have their days but I have never been so frustrated. Didn't find my Halloween costume, however, the store itself is very organized and they have a lot of costumes to choose from. They offer great services and make you feel comfortable to try on the costume unlike other costume places that won't let you try on all the accessories that come in the costume package. First off the phone lines to this store are wonky, had to call another Party City store in Boca to find out if the Glades store was even in business. Told to just "wait it out" until someone picks.Apparently this is not a new problem. Went I went into the store I purchased almost $50 dollars worth of decorations with the receipts to prove it. My absolute horror was my balloon order. upon arrival I had asked an associate if my balloon order was ready. I directed her to PART of my bundle that I assured was mine. She asked my my name and then proceeded to tell me it was not my order. She then took a few steps and pointed at the balloons that she told me were mine and ready for me to take. I had suggested to bag the balloons because I did not want my 6 year old who was standing next to me to see my purchase of balloons for her because I anted to surprise her the next working. As my hands were full from the purchase of decorations I had just made I patiently walked the store until they were bagged. I could not see the balloons because that was the purpose of my request for bagging them. However, I grabbed one bundle of balloons and I advised the woman behind the counter I would come back in for the next bundle. I come back in and I take the next bundle asking the THREE associates, "are these mine?" and they responded, "yes." I found it quite odd considering I purchased 3 bags to cover my balloons and only took two bundles of bagged balloons. But I assumed maybe supersized balloons needed two bags to be covered fully. WELLLL. come that evening and I am decorating my living room for a child who cannot have a real birthday due to covid, I realized, the balloons that I pointed to when I first walked into the store were missing. I called the next day for a refund on those balloons only. needless to say, the employee was a horror show to deal with and the manager, Patricia, who refused to tell me the name of the employee was also a disrespectful nightmare. Only to be told, "its not our problem you didn't pick up your entire order. it is not our responsibility for us to make sure all your balloons are there before you leave. I am staring at the balloons you forgot right now, you can still come back in to pick them up." I just wanted a refund at that point, but nope, "the employee told me I needed to go to that specific location for the refund because they have an outdated system." I told her I lived too far away and she then told me that, that was my problem and not hers. when I asked for the manager, Patricia told me she had been standing next to her employee the entire time and there was nothing wrong with how the employee handled the matter. But oddly enough, Patricia told me I could get a refund at any location.... if Patricia was standing next to the employee, wouldn't she have known that 1) her employee said otherwise and 2) that I was disrespected for a bundle of balloons that they failed to give me... NEVER will I EVER go to this Party City again. I hope this location feels like they have conquered something, since they are my FIRST negative review. read more

What a hot mess. While the store has an excellent selection the managers are horrible. Stood in line for nearly 20 minutes while ALL staff worked on balloons. Even the manager! While the line grew longer and longer and longer. And customers more and more annoyed, the manager continued to focus on stuffing balloons in bags. When we asked if even one person on the team could help us and not just fill balloons the manager told us that they had too many orders and all of us waiting in line would just have to wait. Staff was very unhelpful. First time there was to buy a Halloween costume, saw a huge line and asked a worker what it was for (didn't want to stand in line if unnecessary), was rudely told don't you see the line? You wait in it for costumes and looked at like I was an absolute idiot for asking. Space I then waited in line for over half an hour only to be told that both costumes that I had wanted were not in stock. Both costumes along with the many many other costumes were still on display on the wall.The girl did not even check to see just told me no I know we don't have that one. If you don't have the costume, then do not display that you do have it and have someone wait in line. I was told that the white stickers on them mean that they don't have them, how is a customer supposed to know that? We are customers we don't work there and that is not advertised anywhere the employees do not tell you that until after you wait 30 minutes in line. Absolute waste of time.
