Quickly, I'm admittedly not the best at remembering everybody's special days that fall all around the calendar so whenever I find myself having to throw together a last minute throw-down for my peeps I know I can stop in and get whatever I need to save the day [and sometimes my ass] LOL!!    Anyhow I'm a big fan of this place and the Store Employees are friendly and helpful so that's always a plus. Say what you want about ordering all your stuff online but when it comes to party supplies I'd rather shop in person and eyeball the stuff you know? Mark my words we'll be missing all these nitch type stores if they ever decide to pack up the tent. And that'll mean I'm gonna have to come up with a much better way of remembering stuff. First time I have shopped here, in a long time. At first glance, I was impressed by the vast selection of diverse, colorful, and "color coded" party supplies. I proceeded to put several packages of plastic plates, tablecloths, and plastic champagne flutes into my shopping cart. However, the main reason I went to Party City on a Saturday morning was to inflate several Mylar party balloons that I had purchased on Amazon.com. Talk about helium sticker shock!!! Party City had the gumption to charge $12 PER BALLOON, for three 30" long balloons; and $5 apiece for two smaller "Happy Birthday" balloons. Damn ... $46 for a few small gusts of Helium! In my opinion, that is akin to Highway Robbery, on Rt. 10 West, on East Hanover, NJ. Never again!!! read more

It was my son's 40th birthday and the 40th balloons matched my decor however I wasn't aware that they didn't last long. I spoke with Mary from customer service. Latex balloons last for a shorter time because they are porous, so helium leaks out of them easily. Foil balloons, also known as mylar balloons, last longer than latex balloons because they are less porous and can be properly sealed. In the future I will purchase the day of the event! read more

The 3 stars go to the 17 year old high school student employee who help me and my mother out with balloon and display selections for my husband's 40th birthday party! She helped with the design and respected my budget, and even helped us save some money! We would completely lost without her! The manager and other employees had no knowledge about any of the products and no care in the world regarding customer needs! This location also did NOT have any guestbooks, even though the company claims to sell them on their website! Luckily my mom and I found a nice one at Target! Overall, please ensure you find an associate who cares or you won't find anything you need in this huge, chaotic displays in this store. Great selection of party items but lets be real, you can get the same stuff at the dollar store...I mean even the quality is the same. Their customer service stinks. I have to go there frequently for work and am always amazed that store is still in business. I encountered three employees. I was thrilled that one was helpful. One made me search for what i needed. Two looked like they were sleepwalking. Once i was told there would be an hour wait to fill one balloon. There was 1other customer plus me! I feel like i am bothering the employees whether it's getting a balloon filled or checking out. Please pay the employees better and get rid of the ones that really don't want a job! read more

I've been to this store a few times to pick up little items as well as balloons and haven't had an issue. There is always a line when I come but they always have more than one person in the front so it goes pretty quickly. Staff is very friendly and helpful. read more

Bought a helium tank/kit from here years ago. Called today to find out either where I can refill it or dispose. The girl who answered the phone couldn't help me so I asked for a manager. After being on hold she came back to the phone and said I have to call the town. I didn't even get a chance to speak to the manager. You would think they would have more knowledge on an item like this if they sell it. Prices always seem high anyway so I'll just avoid this place. There's other stores local and online. read more

I feel like over the last few months, Party City has stepped up its game. As soon as you walk in the door, they make sure to greet you. This has happened multiple times, so I'm guessing it's not a fluke. The employees are a lot nicer and kinder than they have been in the past as well. Their curbside pick up option during the pandemic has proved super helpful and they are usually pretty quick in bringing you the items you've ordered. I haven't had the best experience with the balloon service here; I've paid extra for them to last longer and they usually go limp pretty quick, including the helium ones, and while the dollar store balloons last longer, Party City has probably every balloon you could ever think or ask for, which is a bonus for those with kids itching for character balloons; or for showers, milestone birthdays and holidays. Their selection of themed merchandise is unmatched. Every character themed birthday, every color scheme, you name it, they probably have it. They also have a great selection of holiday themed decorations for St. Patrick's Day, July 4th, Easter, etc. Their aren't many party stores you can get almost everything you need in one stop from candy to decorations to paper goods; and also return what you didn't use at your party (like those extra plates, cups, napkins and favors) so keep that in mind! read more

If you love lines, this is your place. You'll never be disappointed. Even when it's dead, you'll get to admire the atmosphere. Bonus: if you love zombie movies, the staff is straight out of Dawn of the Dead. (Pro-tip: the 'Pickup Online' station is never staffed. Even if your instructions are to go there, you will just be stared at by the zombies, but none will help you or acknowledge that you need to join the other undead on the regular line. Worst Party City. Employees are nasty. Manager is lazy. We had to return our daughters birthday balloons because they had a line of angry customers waiting for balloons that they had pre ordered but weren't ready. A man had been there for 45 mins waiting for his balloons to get blown up and a woman had an order of $150 worth of balloons that she had ordered online to be picked up that weren't ready. Everyone was complaining to the manager and she did nothing to resolve the problems. Everyone there was in slow motion with no sense of urgency. As soon as i walked in here, it smelled like it was burning. so many workers, yet no one helped. I was standing in line for over 10 minutes while 3 cashieres were laughing and talking to each other. It took someone in line to complain about them not helping, to help us. After i got rung up i gave exact change so I could get dollars back, but she tried ripping us off by giving us less money back. While the store is beautiful, clean and brand new, the staff could not care less There were four people behind the registry talking to each other and two people blowing up balloons. I wanted to place an order for large bouquet of the balloons but no one approached me. After five minutes a store associate finally approached me while batting around a balloon, not looking at me or caring if I was even there I told her I needed help with balloons and gave her the numbers even though she finally saw me leaning on a cane, she told me to get them myself. I can't, I'm using a cane. I cannot walk very well. I walked out and will not come back for quite a while. read more

Management/supervisors ignored me while I was standing in front of the register. They were moving cash drawers around or something and didn't acknowledge my presence, even after a few minutes. I didn't mind waiting even though I was in a rush, just minded not being acknowledged. Then a nice cashier thanked me for being patient and said she would be right with me as soon as her register was ready. There it was, that's all I needed... I made sure to check her name tag. Thought it was funny that she had more customer service skills than her higher ups that I had been standing in front of for several minutes.
