Horrible service thanks to GRACE and 2 of the other girls working at 1:00 pm this lovely Sunday. I came in with my mom and when we were ready to get rang up Grace and 2 of the other girls were too deep into their conversation to notice we were right in front of them. Once they finally noticed they didn't even have the common courtesy to apologize for the wait or couldn't even greet us at the LEAST. They all seemed to be annoyed as if we interrupted their convo. Then when asking about balloon arrangement I asked if they could blow us up a new batch and they said they had just blown that set up. In this time of age where most of us purchase party supplies online, it's still nice to have a traditional "brick and mortar" store for those last minute needs. I remember when Party City even had the best costumes before the Halloween stores started popping up. And there was also a time when I bought ALL of my balloons from Party City, unfortunately I am able to purchase those party needs from other stores and usually at a cheaper price. But I still find value in this store in those emergencies when I am unable to procure certain party essentials in a limited amount of time. The staff is nice. The location is convenient. Lots of parking. I wish there were more discounts and sales I could take advantage of especially with balloon arrangements but I still enjoy coming here for end of season sales. read more

Bought a Mylar ballon tower for my son's bday that was 2 days ago. I made the stupid mistake of leaving it at home so my son had no ballon's at his party as that was the only one I bought. I looked at the return policy on my receipt and read it thoroughly. There was no mention of balloons not being returnable. I tried to return the ballon tower which was $15! The mgr said no because it had been more than 2 days ( bought it 4 days prior). I tried to explain that it was unused and not deflated at all. In fact it was more inflated than several other balloon towers which I pointed out to him. He said that they re-inflate them On a regular basis ( makes sense). What I don't understand is, if it is still fully inflated, not damaged, unused AND the policy does not say final sale or mentions anything about a deadline for returning balloons, why the mgr Henry has to be a hard ass? The tower was totally sellable. He told me to call corporate, which I did in the store. They asked to speak with him and he LIED and said he wouldn't return it because it was open!? What!? They're ALL " open" in the store! I bought it the same way I returned it. Then the teller says well all Ballon's are final sale! Well which is it? Two days, final sale or what the policy says on the receipt? I get that they may not be able to return it, like who reruns balloons? lol.. BUT don't lie to me and tell me various reasons why it can't be returned and none of that is stated or stamped as final sale on my receipt. Yes it's petty but the mgr Henry automatically became hostile the minute he saw me ( because I asked to speak with a mgr) and talked over me from the start! One of the main reasons I'm writing this review. $15 is a lot for a balloon and a lot to waste. Henry you should have made the return especially since the receipt does not say I can't. Just a warning that this Party City is privately owned, and items are priced significantly higher. It may not matter if you're just buying one or two things, but when you're spending $100+, it definitely adds up. Customer service wasn't great. I'd asked to have balloons grouped together in certain colors so I wouldn't need to separate them all and regroup for my party. I was talked out of this and told it'd be very easy to do myself. In theory, yes. However, between the store and my event ribbons became tangled and separating everything became a huge headache. Even more frustrating that this could've been avoided. Also, don't shop at party city often but is it just me or are they extremely overpriced?! I use to love this store. It is very clean most of the time. They usually have a very wide selection of party items and costumes. Today I was very disappointed 8n their customer service. I ordered online for curbside pickup 2 days ago. I go to pick up my order today and their was not marked spot for pick up. I called the store number. I spoke to Steven on the phone. I asked him where did I need to park to pick up my order. He told me they were no longer doing curbside pick up. They didn't need to because their store was now open. I was not sent a single email notifying me of this change. I explained to Steven that I ordered this way so I didn't have to go in stores, and the store should have updated their customers. I then proceed to go in the store to get my order. As I am waiting to pick up my order, I over hear Steven talking way too loudly about a customer who had just called. It was not in a kind manner nor was it appropriate to be said in front of customers including the one you are talking about. He also mentioned his annoyance about others that he had spoken with. The Fontana location has to two public restrooms in and I was told they were out of order when I asked if my 5 year old daughter could use it. A older woman said they were out of order (like the sign on the door read), and I asked if both of them were out of order? She said well because of Covid they are both out of service. I told her well then she should say that. If Covid was a concern then they should designate one restroom for employees and designate the other one customers. A restroom can be used for more than just going to the restroom. Washing our hands to prevent the spread of the virus for one. I'll never shop here again. read more

The 2 stars are for how easy & quick it was for me to find the items I needed. I was in line ALONE, since they had just opened, there was maybe a couple more customers doing their shopping. I had 4 items & there was a man doing balloons behind the counter and a woman at the register also doing balloons and I stood there waiting to get rung up while they continued doing the balloons, I wasn't in a hurry luckily, but if i was I would've said "HELLOOOO!" I wanted to see how long it would take them to realize I was standing there. The man would look and not say anything until a couple minutes later I heard him talk through their mic saying "you have a customer." The woman seemed like she hated being there. There is a reason why this Party City has such a low rating. This store is being poorly ran by Managers that just want to recite you policy and procedure rather than help the customer. We had an out of town birthday party so our balloons were purchased at a different Party City and inflated at the Summit Party City as it was close to the party location. We delivered the balloons to the Summit Party City the day before and asked if they made "special arrangements" with the balloons. STEVEN was the manager that night and didn't make it to the front counter for 20min when his staff didn't know what to do. After they said they can make the arrangements, we made the order and left. Picking up the balloons the morning of the party, we called and confirmed the arrangement and the employee ensures they got the request. But when we got there, the balloons were bunched up together and the manager DALIAH started reciting policy and procedure that Party City doesn't do special arrangement after a manager and other employees never told us that when making the order. No regard for customer needs and nobody had answers to questions and if request can be made. Corporate need to do something with this store because obviously I'm not the only customer that's had issues at this store. I would give them zero stars if I could. read more

I would personally rate this party city a ZERO out of five stars. This morning I decided to call in advance to see if they had the lightning McQueen balloons in stock, the cashier answered the phone put me on a hold for about 10 minutes before I decided to hang up after hanging up I proceeded to call back, the same cashier answered the call quickly and began to tell me that they DID INDEED have the balloons, but she was going to put me on another hold to see how many they had in stock. I decided to hang up after seven more minutes of waiting on hold and I drove to the store. Upon arriving at the store the cashier then tells me that they do not have what I'm looking for in stock, I decided to ask for a manager. Once the manager arrives at the front desk she already has an attitude, I explain to the manager the situation and simply asked if she could look around to see if there were any other party cities that had the balloon in stock to which she denied. It's a very irritating situation especially when I was trying to call in advance so I don't waste gas in the first place. BAD customer service, no smiles or anything. read more

I was there yesterday to attempt & purchase a gift bag for a mother's day gift at about 12:15pm. I was in line the person before me was getting rung up. The cashier saw me in line, didn't acknowledge me at all. Instead of ringing me up for 1 item left me standing in line & decided to leave me there standing to help people with balloons. A customer just needs to be acknowledge & be told I'll be right with you. I was really upset just threw the gift back & at register saying thank you for all your help. Dollar tree doesn't have 21st birthday ballons so I decided to give Party City a shot, worst mistake EVER!!! I asked my mom to buy me a big 21 ballon for my friends 21st bday last night at 8pm and by the time I woke up 30 mins ago...it was flat!!! If I wasn't such a frugal event planner, than I would definitely shop here more often. But since I know what deals are out there, I really don't come here unless I'm short on time and need some party supplies desperately. To be frank, a lot of their items are cheaper online from other vendors who ship in bulk, like Oriental Trading Company. Most of the stuff I want from there could be easily purchased at the 99-cents-only store or the Dollar Tree. Even Target, Kmart, and, of course, Walmart carry the same items for cheaper. So why did I go here? I usually try to see what clearance items they may have lying in a bin. By the way, they have a sign discouraging patrons to take photos inside their store.
