And I was out the door with three Mylar balloons and half of a dozen of regular balloons in less than 10 minutes. I used to have to pick up balloons a lot when I planned events, and I know the time suck that can come from someone slowly inflating several balloons. That was not the case at all here. They were friendly, and asked me questions about when my party was to determine if the balloons needed to have Hi-Float in them to last longer. I also got to peek at the rest of their selection. For not a huge space, it is chock full of party decorations, costumes and more. This is a great spot to go when in need of some extra party pizzazz!

Hearing of this special Halloween section me and my wife headed out to check out the shop. Wife and I are helping our daughter's eighth Grade class plan a haunted playground and we needed supplies and decorations for the haunted playground. The set ups and decorations they have here we're all very cool and different from other Louisville aria and Indiana area Halloween specialty shops. They had a very nice and large mask area that was really cool and has very unique and different Halloween mask for costumes. The store is medium size very well kept. The service on this trip was well they helped us find what we needed. Also I left with about 12 cans of silly string some carnival related decoration such as clown horns and other carnival props. Overall this is a really cool place and a fun place to browse and check out all the cool Halloween decorations, costumes, masks and supplies. Me and my family will likely make the short trip from Louisville to Jeffersonville Indiana for the future years to check out this place during Halloween season.

It was my party planning paradise…read more But I was happy to hear that Horner Novelty had another location in Jeffersonville, and I got to visit this location last week. Similar to its former location, I found this Horner Novelty to have lots of party supplies and great service. I went to Horner Novelty to find some rainbow products for a special Pride event. I found sashes, boas, window clings, banners, flags and even rainbow mustaches and lollipops. I needed balloons as well and was able to buy a small helium tank for balloons I already had as well as a large mylar rainbow balloon, which the staff inflated quickly. From the moment I walked in, I was asked by staff what they could help me with and directed me where I could go to find these items. I was also happy to find that while yes this store is smaller than its predecessor, this store is organized like the other was, with aisles dedicated to different holidays and party types and a large collection of accessories (glasses, hats, pompoms, foam fingers, etc.) organized by color. They also have a great selection of costumes and small items that you might want to give away for free at children's parties or festival booths. Plus best of all: Horner Novelty has consistently had the best prices of any party supply store I've found in Louisville. It's a bit more of a drive to get to compared to the other store, but it's worth it if you're in need of themed items to make your party stand out.

I cannot say enough about Maria and Party Works in making my wedding vision become a reality. We…read moregot married and had our reception at Henry Clay, with the ceremony in the Beaux Arts Ballroom and reception in The Grand Ballroom. I was intimidated by the venue because of the space and height of the ceilings but Maria was so knowledgeable (and patient) and a true expert in not only utilizing the space and natural decor that the Henry Clay offers, but also translating my often scattered ideas into a tangible vision. I live in New York (my parents are in Louisville) and Maria met with me every time I was home as well as met with my mom several times to perfect the design and decor. She was arrived even before we did the day of the wedding and spent all day making sure everything was set up exactly right. She worked with us on the lighting, placement, and worked with with our florist and the Henry Clay on-site team to get all the details exactly right. Maria was an absolute dream to work with and our wedding would not have been what it was without her. She is also very helpful working within budgets and maximizing decor and design based on those budgetary concerns. The pictures do not do Maria and her design skills justice. Will definitely be using her in the future for any party decor/lighting rental needs in the future.
