Great customer service! I've gone here a few times and was leaving a review through a survey and was invited to leave feedback through yelp. I can't believe all the bad reviews! Each time we go, there's always a kind employee to greet us who is patient and willing to punch in my email address for things (don't care if there's promos, but I like a good coupon). An employee even gave my baby a balloon for her first birthday as I was purchasing other products on her special day. I'd imagine this place to be a zoo on Friday-Sunday, so if you think about it, the store is unfairly rated for the service at busy times of inflating...they have to inflate the balloons to last and that has to be staggered. I can't fault them for that honestly. Always order ahead and schedule a pickup. read more

Balloons, Balloons, Balloons. Party City came through is a cinch as at the last minute I needed balloons for a party. I arrived at 7:30pm and they closed at 8:00pm and they helped me out. I was out there in 15 minutes with my balloons. I have shopped all their other locations and have had really good experiences buying party supplies and stuff. Dont come here for balloons UNLESS you call or go in and schedule in advance. there is a 50/50 chance that even if the store is slow they still will NOT assist u with even one balloon so long as there is a list of ppl scheduled to pick up. yupp you heard me correct. even if there is NO LINE they may refuse to fill up a single wimpy balloon.............sigh. just one. not a bundle. just one little one. moving on. just about everything is over priced. go to walmart for basics like utensils, napkins, cups, etc. good if u need a lot of a theme or such. or some specialty holiday decor. customer service is completely dependent on the person. ive had good and bad experiences. overall this is not my 1st stop read more

Terrible customer service from the cashiers and management. Absolutely zero sense of urgency and the older manager was bad mouthing about customers to the staff. I had a very interesting experience here. There are plenty of people in the store and for some reason, theres an older employee watching me while im in the store. Im looking to see what i want in the store and i see im being stared at by this same employee. We make eye contact and she asks me "can i help you with something?" I say that i think i know what i want and i smile. She says in this disrespectful, demeaning tone "then get in the line. The line is over here"...I can even see the other employee at the cash register felt uncomfortable by what she said as she looked to see my reaction. Its the day before valentines day so im sympathetic to employees wanting to leave at a convenient time but there is NEVER a call for disrespect. I politely told her i was still shopping and she says surprisingly "OH OH Im sorry im sorry" and still says this in a sarcastic manner. I just shook my head in disgust and continued shopping. Then she STILL takes it upon herself to keep watching me! I dont wanna pull the "race card" but i am a black lesbian woman and it is noticeable by my appearance. It felt like harassment. I definitely felt like she was insulting my intelligence and i was very angry. I will not be back to this store. This woman was about 5'11, gray short hair, and may have been caucasian with a tan complexion. She was wearing a green shirt and by her disposition, i can tell she was the shift manager on duty. Only giving one star because 0 isn't an option. Called today to see if if could drop already purchased balloons off around noon to be ready by 5:30....well I was put on hold for an hour!!! After finally calling back and telling the young lady to not put me on hold that I only had a quick question, she had a snarky attitude and told me they couldn't guarantee anything. My suggestion is for NO ONE to utilize this store and just drive to Flower Mound. The gentleman I spoke to there express that if I came at noon he would have my balloons ready by 12:30. That is service. Oh...and I wasn't put on hold for a ridiculous amount of time. To the managers of this store, get your staff in line. Had to keep returning to this Party City to do last minute stuff for an office holiday party. Couldn't have pulled it off without everyones' help. Jessie and Calvin were there both trips and were super helpful. There was also another gentleman (Roy?) who spent a lot of time on the phone with me and pulled items from the shelves for me after the online ordering system didn't match up with their actual inventory. Bought some Halloween items on October 26 - needed to return them today, October 28, but I couldn't because Halloween items have to be returned by October 24 - two days BEFORE I purchased them. I could totally understand had it been after Halloween but that's ridiculous. I've never understood stores that won't let you returned unopened, unused items. Went there last night to grab 5 things, 5! Me and 8 other people stood in line for over 10 minutes while one employee was on the phone and the other one was blowing up balloons staring at us. Nobody helped. This is really bad customer service. YOu help the customers in the store before you finish up blowing the balloons if your co-worker is on the phone helping a customer. Absolutely the worst customer service! The only clerk on the floor knew nothing about what they carry or where to find it. Searched for 10 minutes to find someone to help them stood in line to speak to her. She was so busy chomping on her gum that she couldn't be bothered to provide any assistance. Her response to the two people in from of me: 1) "What's that?" and 2) "Huh, I don't know" followed by deer in the headlights stare. Her response to me "Did you look on these isles? If we have anything Halloween it would be on one of the Halloween isles." YA THINK?!? Problem is, I couldn't see what was on the isles for the unsupervised children running up and down and for being harassed by a couple trying to sell a party city gift card. Never again! read more

I came here on my lunch break to pick up a few favors for my sons party tomorrow and there was a huge line at checkout with only 2 employees working the register. I attempted to check out with cart in hand but after 10 minutes of little to no movement I had no choice but to put all of the items I was going to purchase back. Very pathetic service at this place. After calling the store several times over the last two days and being on hold for a very long time without any help, I came into this store today. At the store the staff was completely clueless and slow as turtles. I needed a particular item with a quantity of 30 (hence the repeated phone attempts to ensure they had it before I made the trip to the store). When I got to the shelf location noticed they had 8 on the shelf...grabbed the 8 and then looked at their overstock above the shelf location to see if they had a case above...nothing. So I went to the register and waited in line to ask them if they had more. After getting to the front, the cashier called another employee to help. She got a ladder and looked at the overstock above the shelf location - so I'm thinking she has no clue as you can clearly see the overstock from ground level. So after this she says they don't have any. I again asked her to see if she has any in the back (my original request). She goes to the back and I don't see her again for next 5 minutes. Next thing I know she's at the cashier area drinking water..WTF. So I go up to her and ask her did she check and her response "oh Yea we don't have any". Did she forget I was waiting? Did she forget I even existed in the store? Did some of her brain cells start arguing? Terrible. After I had enough, I stood in line to checkout with the rest of my stuff. While waiting in line, another customer ahead of me was suppose to have balloons ready for pickup and to the "surprise" of the staff, they did not have any ready. When they figured it out, no apologies to the other customer and just slow as molasses service to have his balloons filled up. Don't recommend this place to anyone. Perfect for Halloween costumes! My 2 1/2 year old really wants to be a Hot Dog for Halloween. I ordered a costume online and it was delayed. I started my search for a new costume at Party City and they had exactly what we needed. The store was organized, festive and everyone was so nice and helpful. Store is very unorganized and items showing in stock are no where to be found. Spent a lot of time waiting on items to be located and still left empty handed on some things that should have been in store. After being quite patient dealing with the issue, the manager checking me out was so unnecessarily rude. Furthermore, he would not honor my coupon of free 75 balloons by allowing me to get 3, 20 count balloons since the 75 ct of the color I wanted was out. He was not even interested in discussing it, but walked back to the register and kept a sour look on his face. read more
