I have never tried Gertrude Hawk Chocolates and I needed a gift to bring with me this weekend. I was planning to stay at a friends condominium while skiing at Camelback in the Pennsylvania Pocono mountains.. My friend and his wife are also avid skiers. Gertrude Hawk began making chocolates at the age of 12 after her father passed away and the families household income needed help. Today, Gertrude Hawk Chocolates has stores in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. While browsing through the store at their many chocolate and candy options, I decided to get the "Milk & Dark Chocolate Assorted Truffles" (&19.99). I was offered a truffle on my stay. What can I say, I'm a truffle fanatic and never met a truffle I did not like.
