This antique spot lives up to the term "mall". From the outside, I was expecting a tiny little shop. Oh no. This place is gigantic. I stopped by during a lunch break at work, but quickly realized that to cover this place the way it should be covered (slowly and surely), you would need to allot a decent period of time (an hour at the very least). Every inch of this place is filled with something. There's some rhyme and reason to it, but not much. Pretty wide range of finds, and I can only assume that the stock will vary from trip to trip. A tad bit on the pricy side for a lot of the items, but if you poke around enough you're sure to find something reasonably priced and awesome. Staff is very sweet. Parking is easy and they validate. A good standby for anyone who likes antiques. I visit here often and appreciate the diverse items on display and find the prices reasonable. It's a nice location and they sometimes have appraisers available. The one drawback which happens to be a pet peeve of mine is that they are a bit over the top with security. They'll ask you to check your bags including purses and I'm often monitored while strolling the store. I'll put it this way, I've never been asked if I needed assistance but I have been followed and watched closely almost every visit. My son and I love this place! There is always something new and unique - my son loves the old tech and I love, well, just about everything. They have a bunch of different sellers that have space here so there is something for everyone. Not everything is an antique, which is fine. The clerks are usually young and enthusiastic and are very kind to my son who loves to ask questions. They are all pretty great. And they have been super buttoned up for the pandemic, which is appreciated. This place is a fun place to wander around for awhile, but that's about it. It's overpriced, and I didn't see many actual antiques. A book printed in 1995 is not an antique. A Dirk Nowitzski basketball card is not an antique. A record from the 1980s is not an antique. Most of the stuff here is just used junk, though a lot of it is pretty cool. Prices are not very tempting. The books were far too expensive for relatively recent editions. And I don't care how hard to find a record is; it has to also be in high demand to justify charging $10+. I don't care how good the condition is; a normal record store wouldn't charge that much for a Greg Lake solo album from the 1980s. Go here to find some cool stuff. I always wanted to go inside this place because I wanted some vintage stuff (especially furniture) and they didn't have much furniture but hot dang, THIS PLACE IS HUGE. Initially coming inside here, it looks like it's a small store... but this store is endless and filled with TONS of stuff. I thought it'd take me 5 min to find stuff but this is like a endless void of stuff. I kept walking and walking and got LOST inside the store. It's actually really overwhelming because everywhere you look, there was stuff. There was NO free space. it actually gave me a little headache. I kinda wish they made it more organized because I was looking for some actual stuff. I also love costuming, so I wanted to find some era stuff but each tag does not tell you when they were produced. I just felt like it was like vintage stuff just puked and here was this store with the stuff. Omg... I just needed to take a break from the sensory overload. I guess if you have ADHD, this place would work for you. Something new and shiny around every head turn. The stuff was nice (some overpriced - compared to other antique stores I've been to). Their older book selection and prices are amazing. I bought two mint condition bound books that were around 35 years old. My Yelp review is not for the beautiful things I found there but their horrible customer service. Two male employees both looked right at me and assisted two other customers who had just come up to the counter. THEN one said "I can help who's next" while standing in front of me and looking over my head. REALLY?!?! Those books are the only thing that kept me planted until I paid. My friends and I spent HOURS in here. What an experience, let me tell you. This place is a labyrinth of anything you can possibly imagine and an amazing trip through time. They have tons of books; I got one entitled 1,000 Places to See Before You Die. I'm excited to flip through it and see which things I can mark off the list. Great customer service by Susie who went above and beyond to help me find a vintage rotary phone for a photo shoot. Very charismatic and knowledgeable about their stock. Willing to call sellers and ask for a lower price. I found the perfect phone priced at $65 and bought it for $25! I also bought a tiara for the little princess in my heart. Lots of antique furniture, kitchenware, jewelry and some clothing priced relatively fair and with definite room for negotiation. Every seller is different so shouldn't judge one particular experience with your overall experience of the store as depending on the section you are browsing you may be able to haggle more or less. read more

I know people keep talking about the books for sale here. I've never found anything really good (and by that I mean from before the 40s and in an interesting subject matter or well known). The jewelry selection is RIDICULOUS, so if you're looking for that you'll be satisfied. The clothes are not that great and look like something that people are trying to mark up after finding in a thrift store. The photographs, however, are what give this place three stars. They have hundreds of old photos littered throughout the store... all waiting for you to find and make up a ridiculously involved backstory for. It's not worth the drive if that's the only reason you're going out there, but it certainly isn't a waste of time if you're in the area. read more

I LOVE this place. You can spend hours in there. They have such hidden treasures. Its pretty much the only place I go to buy costume jewelry. You can find one of a kind pieces. They also have vintage china ware that are so unique. But like any other vintage store you have to spend the time and dig in order to find those special pieces. The prices range from a few dollars to a few thousands but they often have discounts on various things. You can find anything from first edition books, fur coats, vintage designer accessories to furniture and other collectibles. Highly recommended! read more

The place is amazing... and a maze. The store is huge and I feel like I could get lost in there. I spoke with the cashier and she explained that many different vendors have sections throughout the store and each vendor updates their inventory almost on a daily basis. There is so much to look at that 1 visit will not be enough. Some things you will find here: furniture clothes vinyl records books toys paintings/art cameras china sets silverware jewelry typewriters suit cases I ended up buying 2 books here. The book selection is pretty good and they have many signed/1st edition books. By the way, they do not accept checks but they do validate your parking ticket. My friend brought me here because he knows I dig vintage stuff and though this place is small it is neatly stocked with tons of antiques. The book section was like a library with a good selection of art, architecture and old books. More coffee table like art books that you can find at a book store. I was pleasantly shocked to see a book on Dale Chihuly and shocked at the price.. Some of these art books were $130 to $60 being the cheapest. Not, too happy about that.. That vendor has to be high selling books that are not vintage for that much.. I mean I can get a great book on-line for cheaper.. LAME. I didn't see any booths with clothing as much as I would of loved to but there was still a nice selection of mid-century modern art and furniture and tchotchkes to art deco to dating before.. This is one of those places you need to spend a good hour or two in. There are dozens of cases filled with jewelry, art, broaches and trinkets. There is various art from different decades all over the wall, racks of clothing, arm chairs and anything you could imagine. One of the coolest areas is towards the back where they have Hollywood memorabilia from various movies- perfect for people who love that kind of thing or if you want to really impress someone you can find something from their favorite movie. I can't believe I've never been here before. They have lots of fun nicknacks. I felt like I could spend the whole day there looking around. It's kind of like a huge well organized thrift store. They have books, jewelry, vintage clothes, typewriters, knives, records, scripts, etc. I feel like the film industry would really like this store to find items for their movies. We came here because we've heard about it from friends, tv commercials, and from Storage Wars. We walked in and the first thing I picked up was a little detailed thick plastic box that I thought was REALLY cool and honestly was going to purchase. Until I opened it and saw the price tag of $550.00. Really? Thats a joke right? I immediately put it down and walked away. My mom and I got to looking around, most of the store is books. I really don't consider that much of any sort of antiques to be honest. They look pretty new. We saw some things that were pretty cool. A table with eagle claws grasping crystal balls on each leg. That I can see spending $800+ dollars on. Its VERY well kept up, very detailed, and pretty freaking cool looking. Then in the same little section, you find a little wood stool for $200. No, I will not pay that much for a little wooden stool. Walking around was interesting, I felt like a lot of the stuff was new and up to date to be honest. The on-set stuff they have towards the back was pretty cool. Not too shabby, if they had anything from FRIENDS, I totally would have bough something. Hands down something would have come home with me. The masks were pretty cool, no complains on that. I fail to see how those are antiques though. We sort of left at that point. I started to get discouraged from this place and wanted to go grab a bit to eat instead. I think I will be sticking with the Mission Galleria out in the IE instead. At least that place calls itself and Antique Mall and means it. One shop alone I always end up spending 3 hrs in it with 4 levels of wall to wall, floor to ceiling of actual antiques. I never walk out with under a $75 bill and have yet to visit the other stores because by the time I leave the first one, its time to head back home and get things ready for dinner. read more

I waited far too long to check this place out despite going by it all the time. Given the location in Paseo, I assumed it would be higher-end, overpriced antiques but to my surprise that was not the case. To be fair and to agree with other reviewers, they aren't quite as "antique" as some other stores as there's a fair amount of newer/vintage 70s/80s stuff but they more than make up for it with pricing and turnover. From talking to a few of the dealers, their high foot-traffic location combined with being right next to the convention center allows for rapid turnover and things are mostly priced to sell. As such, it's not nearly as stale as your average antique/vintage shop. Regarding customer service, I've always been treated well on my five or so visits and have had people go out of their way to find weird items I usually look for. In fact, they'll take your name/number down in their book and contact you if they happen to see what you're looking for. Also unlike a lot of shops I visit, this place has dozens of dealers setup and an above-average layout that's far more accessible than some I've been to. While there's a lot of stuff tucked in you can usually get to items and they aren't overflowing terribly like some multi-dealer shops. While I enjoy the various little shops around Pasadena/Fair Oaks, this one is my guaranteed stop any time I'm in town. Tip: Enter on the Green Street side for parking. This gives you a shot at the outside/street parking for easy access (metered @ $1.25 for 1 hour max) and if those are full, you can then make a left into the closer underground parking lot. Going down a level or two is usually less crowded and the elevator/escalator is right there and dumps you out right at the shop. Easy access! read more

Stopped here for the first time ever. Sad that I never went in this place before this weekend. So amazing all the nook & crannies in this place. So many cool items to look at. Needless to say, I'm a fan. Defintely worth the trip, didn't realize how much time you could actually spend inside. Kinda pricey on some items, you just have to see what is worth it to you & what you consider fair. Selection is pretty good and organized neatly. I'm used to digging around for items so it was nice to see everything without having to do much work. I liked the artwork area... lots of really great pieces for sale. -1 star: A bit pricey considering I've been to many antique malls and I can find lots more stuff for cheaper. -1 star: Definite downside is the lady following me and my friends around the whole mall as we shopped. I can't shop when I have friends waiting on me but even worse is trying to shop while someone follows you around. She didn't bother asking if we needed help either. Just stood there with her hands behind her back, watching us. I didn't realize we looked like thieves. I'm not too familiar with the antique malls in LA but if you want to visit really great antique malls without someone following you around, hit up the ones in Orange. read more

This place was AMAZING! They have everything you could possibly want - fun costumes, vintage clothing, antique books, and very friendly service. My favorite were the old masquerade masks in the back, and all the vintage jewelry. I spent an hour here perusing all the little nooks and crannies, and I probably could have spent a few more hours! I bought a beautiful pair of vintage earrings that make me feel like I just walked off the set of Mad Men. I was pretty disappointed with this place. The prices were outrageous! I'm no stranger or newby when it comes to antique malls, so I have a lot to compare them too, I was pretty knocked over by the prices. At antique malls, it is the norm to have several vendors, so it's expected to have some sections with silly high prices who think they're selling to museums... but that is generally rounded out by other sections that offer more realistic prices and better deals. It's place was strictly hi throughout. And for a place with high prices... This is a pretty junky place. Don't get me wrong... They had a few things I picked up to look at and have a few gems here and there... But very few things of interest compared to other places. Easily 65% of what they had was NEW and not antique. There was more 90s/early 2000s items than anything else if you really looked at what were in the collections. I like nothing better than exploring antique malls... But don't visit this one with high expectations, or you'll be highly unsatisfied. Maybe if you go in expecting a yard sale at auction prices, you MIT be presently surprised. read more

I could spend all day here perusing the aisles of random stuff. The place is quite organized and you will find yourself getting lost (in a good way) in the numerous rooms and sections. You will probably end up seeing stuff that you haven't seen for years and they will bring back fond memories. Be careful when going past the glass showcases and displays as things can get knocked down by a quick brush against a purse or jacket or bag. Staff is friendly and won't make fun of you for purchasing something that may seem ridiculous to others. read more

Somewhere in the 70's or 80's in the US there was a restaurant where you could go to and the staff would insult you non-stop whilst you were eating, that was the point of it. It closed since and I have no idea where exactly it was, but I am wondering if this place is perhaps the replacement, and I simply did not get it, that is why I checked on YELP. But apparently no, it is only coincidence that this is the nastiest place I have ever encountered, no reason. As many others reviewers have noticed, there is definitely more than one thing wrong with this place. It must be a place that experiences a lot of compulsive shoplifters come in, stealing whatever is not nailed down. Not that any of it would be worth it, but see above, compulsive, one can only assume. As others noticed before, there are no real "antiques", only the schnick-schnack you find in any roadside shop from New York to Oregon, and "discriminating" doesn't even cover it, and yet: they treat you like you better be glad you were allowed to come in. Probably their alternative profession is red neck prison ward. Some little voice tells me they judge by their bourgeois ideas of appearance x money to spend, getting in wrong, once again. Next time if I stick my account statements to my T-Shirt for everyone to see who has this need,do I get a red carpet or something? After all I didn't snub this tacky shop as being not up to my level either and still went in no matter what. Besides, greed is a deadly sin, didn't you know that? So are wrath and pride. I'm afraid basically you're doomed. Just saying. If you were raised in some way sheltered and have never in your life experienced exceptionally nasty customer service in your life (not just "bad", I mean "nasty", the kind you feel the urge to take a shower after you encountered it) and you would just this once like to find out what that's possibly like then this is your place to go, congratulate yourself, you will not find worse even if you try. But if you just came to have a look, maybe buy something for whatever it is you are collecting, why don't you skip the remarkably ugly beyond experience that will definitely mess up your aura, even if you never noticed so far you even had such a thing as an aura, and do yourself the favour and shop in any of the plenty of other antique stores in town, every single one of them MUST be more pleasant than this one, there is no other way. However, it is well possible that is actually in reality not a shop at all but instead the gate to hell and if you are one of those people with issues, similar like the staff operating this curiously terrible place seems to be troubled by, then I would not be surprised if this is the kind of store where you can purchase an authentic cursed doll or stuff like that, and cause all sorts of horror letting it loose in your bedroom. The staff is so friendly and always goes above and beyond to assist in finding what you are looking for. They're patient when you ask them to open display case after display case and if a price is missing, they do not hesitate to contact the seller. They also don't judge when you decide you don't want to buy something after they've gone out of their way to call the seller. In addition to the top notch customer service, this place is huge! In all honesty, this place has a great selection and great prices. However, the customer service is AWFUL. The only reason for my negative review is that I have had a bad experience several times now at this shop. Their sign says they close at 9, so when I came in to shop at about 7:30 I assumed I had more than enough time. At about 8 I was told the store was closing and that we needed to leave. The employees are extremely rude and don't even attempt to do this nicely. They rush you out and physically follow you until you're out of the store. I understand that people have bad days, but when it happened the second time I was upset. The owners should reconsider how they treat their customers. The only thing carrying this store is the merchandise. Eventually that won't be enough to hold a business. read more

As a black customer paying with a credit card I had to show ID (watched the two other white customers paying at the same time as me pay with credit cards and not get carded) while buying an expensive first edition of Toni Morrison's Tar Baby. Classic. When I inquired about the oddity one of the cashiers said he doesn't card when cards have chips (my card had a chip). My cashier then insisted that he cards everyone. As I walked out one of the white customers made a snide comment about my gall to ask about my treatment. A customer who was not carded and has no idea what the constant harassment feels like. I was excited to come in to this place, but as soon as I walked in they told me I had to check my tiny backpack "because I might knock stuff over", I offered to carry it like a purse and they still said no. There were other women in the store carrying purses and bags two to three times larger and bulkier than my bag, so that made me pretty mad...it just seemed like they assumed I would steal something so they made me check a tiny little "backpack" and made up a stupid reason for it. Not cool, made me not even interested in what they had, so I can't speak to that, just the customer service. read more

Please don't shop here. Your identity will be at risk and they value their merchandise more than their customers. They have a strange practice of taking down all of your personal information from your photoid/licence including the number and your address. They also use carbon paper on your credit card to record the entire account number not just the last four digits. Several months ago I experienced this and reported it to Visa. Visa confirmed that this was a strange practice but said they could do nothing about it. The store maintains that they have so many fraudulent credit cards they have no choice. Please remember that there are multiple sellers in this store, all working behind the counter. Your personal information is available to a multiple of people not just the owner of the mall. I made a note never to use a credit card in this store again. Today I went in with $600 cash planning to spend it all. I accidentally bumped into two tea cups stacked on top of each other at a table edge on a narrow aisle. They tipped over but no damage. Immediately an imposing man came to my side, not to inquire if I, the customer were ok but to ask me to check, my valuable, handbag at the desk. My normal size and expensive Marc Jacobs bag had nothing to do with the tea cups tipping over. I refused as the employees in this store do not hold my trust. I could see he was about to make a fuss. I left, and will never return. I have spent thousands of dollars in this store over the years, I like it, but the owners and dealers must realize they are in a retail business, as I am. Theft, bad checks and credit cards are all part of being in retail. We don't like it but it is a fact of life. If you don't treat customers with respect and respect for their private information, and if you don't realize that customers are bypassing stores for the internet, and deserve personal service not monitoring, then you don't deserve my business, and I hope the business of the many others reading this review. read more
