My friends and I parked here since we were going to Paseo Regal theaters to see a Dolly Parton movie in honor of her and to donate to her library. But little did we know, there was a TCG show across at the convention center AND America's Got Talent filming ON TOP of the regular weekend Pasadena crowds, so we ended up circling the parking lot pit for almost 30 minutes. It's an older parking lot, so of course unless staff are monitoring it, you would have no idea if the parking lot is full, but we were lucky enough to be in a one way direction when a father and son combo was leaving, but people are NOT following some of the one way directions, they're not stopping so they can take parking spots, and some people just have no spatial awareness and are walking into oncoming traffic. Others are just hanging out and not even wanting to leave. There's parking validation, but it will rack up. Movie only covered a part of it we still had to pay $6 even after leaving right after. Elevator was out of order so we had to go around and about in the pit to get to the stairs, but at least the stairs looked new and re-painted and not gross, dirty, and urinated on. read more

Conveniently located under The Paseo, this parking garage is quite spacious. There was a time when it was always packed but the shops & restaurants don't get as much business as they used to, so parking is plentiful. Parking attendants are no longer on site since the transition to an automative payment system, so be sure to pay at the machine before returning to your car. Elevators and escalators are available. I used to frequent The Paseo on a regular basis but now I'm here every six weeks for my hair appointment. Occasionally, I'll stop by to pick up something at Bath & Body Works, H&M, or one of the other shops in the complex. I appreciate the 90-minute free parking with validation ($1.50 after/$12 max) since I'm usually in & out. read more

This parking lot has the vibe of just being here for convenience, but demolition is imminent to make way for a new development soon. When I'm in the area, I usually park on the street but decided to go into the lot. When I was trying to go up the elevator, I think the elevator was broken for the day, but I wasn't moving at all. So I ended up having to walk to the other side of the lock and go up one of the escalators. Maybe I'll sit there on a bad day or bad timing. The parking is conveniently located. read more

I don't have any pics of this but I will say I looked at the prior reviews only because I was looking up parking lots for an event I was going to attend at the auditorium and when I saw how low the rating was I was curious why I agree with the folks who are giving this a higher rating because I was expecting a horrible experience given the reviews like it was the worst thing ever but honestly it was fine nothing weird or crazy or off The one machine I used for paying was working but it was just one visible machine in the area I parked so having another or more is a must because a big line did form after I paid I got out of there easily but again I tend to walk fast out of my events to avoid but even then with the other lots nearby it made it so it wasn't a hot mess I did notice a funky smell once I started to drive away and put the air in inside like a mildewy smell like when your filter needs changing but mine isn't that old but someone did say that and it went away once I had the air circulating The stores and food places will validate but not the auditorium but $12 wasn't that bad compared to most parking lots these days why I can't believe I'm saying $12 isn't bad lol shouldn't even be this much but ah well I guess compared to $40 that most places charge for all day parking read more

Weekend parking in Pasadena is hard to find. The Paseo Colorado Parking Lot is a safe and convenient place to park in downtown Pasadena. It's a convenient location and directly under shops and restaurants. Check if the stores or restaurants you go to validate for the parking tickets. Not sure why the overly negative reviews. O_o The Paseo Colorado underground parking lot (for the Paseo area... duh) is pretty darn good. Obviously, I only use it when I am patronizing one of the businesses for this immediate area, and practically nothing else, but it serves its purpose very well. For instance, I usually use this when I go to Great Maple for brunch. I arrive, I park, I walk up one flight of stairs (or escalator), and I am there. It's awfully convenient. And when I finish my brunch in 90 minutes or less, with validation, it's free of charge. I usually do go over time, however. And the cost does run up higher and higher. And since I am not a fan of paid parking, (imo parking should be cheaper than this everywhere, since we are coming to you to spend money after all, but I guess, well, capitalism!) I gonna give this paid parking lot 3.5 stars max. It's a bit arbitrary, shrug. (Rounded up to 4 stars on Yelp page. Whatever. I don't think you truly care, do ya?) And since we are hovering the topic, this is the official payment schedule, lifted directly off the official website: "90 minutes free with validation from participating stores $1.50 each 30 mins thereafter $12 daily maximum" I honestly think that's pretty standard. $12 max is not too bad. The pay machines are fairly efficient, because believe me, I have seen much worse! I recall taking forever to pay at a lot near the Long Beach Convention Center. In contrast, this Paseo lot features machines that load fast, accept credit cards with tap, and just all around up to today's tech standard. And parking structure itself is quite easy to find! Both its location and the entrances. Just watch out for the pedestrians, but that's for everywhere crowded with shoppers and visitors, yes? The only things that irk me, that I can think of, are: Sometimes, it does get a little busy and it's harder to find an empty spot. But that hasn't been a problem ever if I arrive around 11 or earlier. I guess car/foot traffic picks up around noon in the weekends. It also bothers me when people exit the lot, they take forever at the machine because they have to pay. WITH CASH. WITH SINGLE DOLLAR BILLS. If that's you, please, do better! THAT'S WHY THEY TELL YOU PRE-PAY BEFORE YOU LEAVE, PEEPS. So, if you're reading this, don't be that guy/gal. Don't hold up the departure line. Pay for your ticket ahead of time. I had a photoshoot at Pasadena City Hall on a Sunday- so I visited this location on the Thursday beforehand to get a feel for the parking and to see how long the walk to City Hall/what locations would be nice. Thursday visit went well- the lot opens up to the shops/mall and a restroom with vending machines and water fountains right as you exit which was lovely. I got my parking validated by Bath and Body, so it was free. Theres also a Starbucks nearby as well. ------- My Sunday (6/9/24) experience was not as easy. I ate lunch with 2 friends at a nearby restaurant- who ended up switching our parking tickets when they gave them back to us. I spent way too long in this structure trying to locate my car (and fearing it got stolen when I couldn't find it), that one of the maintenance worker (a kind older Mexican lady, who primarily spoke to me in Spanish- please give her a commendation/praise- I was still trying to work up the courage to stop someone myself She also asked if we had any luck when driving around which warmed my heart) asked if I needed help when she noticed me circling around the lot twice. She lead me to the office and her supervisor (Mark Ben, a new owner of the garage) who offered to drive me around to try and spot my car. He was super attentive, helpful and offered apologizes for any confusion the lot gave me (spoiler alert- it wasn't confusing, we were not in the right garage lol) We drove around the lot multiple times trying to locate my car, and when that wasn't successful he drove me to a nearby garage, since he knew of the particular restaurant having issues switching up parking tickets and suspected that happened to me. Lol and behold- there was my car sitting pretty and fine in the second garage we were in and I near burst into tears in relief. The experience and worry I went through was a time- but I am super grateful and appreciative of how reassuring Mark was during it, as well as the efforts he went to ensure that I found my car and would be able to get home safe. (Also unrelated to my review- but he also waved to his workers as we were driving around; it's always nice to see signs that a boss does care and respect their workers.) read more

It's a little dated and as many fellow Yelpers mention, a lot of their automated machines have shut down. With that said, I prepped for a not-so-stellar experience, even more so since we're right dab smack in the middle of the holidays. But it really wasn't bad! Hubbers and I were meeting for lunch. Found parking right next to the escalators. Got validation and paid a reasonable fee. (Less than $5 for about 3 hours, maybe?) I expected, being in posh-Pasadena and all, to pay much more! Probably the worst parking you'll ever come across in Pasadena. There's really no great way to navigate this parking lot. It's a confusing mess and the parking lot is almost completely full. You'll be spending a good amount of time just finding a place to park. Eventually we did find a spot. I'd honestly rather pay $5 for easy parking than waste time looking for something in this lot. Another note, the staff is not helpful at all. Most of the parking kiosks are closed on the weekends for some strange reason. The staff told us that kiosks near the center of the parking structure would be open, but that kiosk was also closed. The only place to pay is before you exit. We literally walked around in circles. Again, difficult to navigate. The only positive note I'll say is, if you're planning to eat at the Paseo, you'll be happy to see your parking can be validated if you stay within a two hour timeframe. read more

I don't have a problem with finding a parking space to get to Equinox. My problem is the smell in the garage. The stench is so overpowering. Is it garbage? Are they raising farm animals somewhere? I literally have to crank the AC up before I pull into the garage to keep the smell out of the car and then rush to the elevator holding my breath. Also, the elevators are way past needing to be replaced. Seems like 2 pretty smart investments. read more

Parked my car for 45 minutes while having dinner. Somebody hit my car and apparently they have no cameras in this parking structure. Their parking office is filled with cameras everywhere to protect them, who is protecting us and our cars while we eat? So disappointed, ruined my night. read more

What a joke this place being called a parking structure. There is no structure here. When it gets busy and it's packed, the managers or someone is posted at each entry gate to direct you to to across and exit to Green Street. They want you to fill up that other structure across the way. So I cannot go to the parking spot where that other person came out and is in the exit gate leaving the structure? No matter what validation you get expect to pay for parking. What is the point of having it validated, because it is a lesser charge than the full charge if you had forgotten or lost your ticket? You must have the same system and design as The Grove. No matter where you go and validate, you would have to pay for your parking. Yes, I know it is only $2 but some parking structures allow for 90 minutes. Fine, I'm talking about going to see a movie and getting that ticket stamped but you still have to pay $2. I already paid over $10 for a movie ticket. Beer is not on happy hour and neither is the tub of popcorn you just bought. Stop nickelling and diming patrons to death. I don't know how the residents deal with the parking here but I would hate to have to drive to the bottom floor just to enter a gate. read more

One to avoid because it is outdated. There's validation for shopping at around 90 minutes and validation for the theater. You'll still have to pay for the theater but it's discounted. The first few levels have a lot of reserved parking so you'll end up taking a while to find a spot. Overall it's a flat rate lot without any complimentary time. Very Pasadena I suppose. read more

(Sorry this is gonna be long, but I wanted to rant and KEEP PEOPLE SAFE!!) This place reminded me of good memories till this Friday, November 16, 2018. My boyfriend and I went to find gifts for my friend here at old town Pasadena for about 50 minutes. We came back smiling because it was a pretty good day. We also found good deals and the place gave a lively mood. We came back to El Paseo garage parking level 3. My boyfriend opened the passenger door for me and I sat down. I looked to the left and I thought I was dreaming. The driver's window was completely smashed. Glass shattered everywhere. From the outside to his seat. We were just shocked from what we saw. There was a note left outside saying that someone broke into our car. First of all, the security wrote what time we came and left our car. Which was weird because they probably watched us?? Then I called the cops and the security of the floor explained to the cops the time frame. He didn't make sense because I had pictures and evidences from my phone. Don't lie about it when I always snap pictures to post on my Snapchat story. Don't change the story when I keep track of time all the time. Then, 5-7 securities were watching us and they asked if we had anything stolen. I said my bag then 30 minutes later they magically found it? Funny thing was, instead of watching other floors, they all stayed in one floor. You guessed it. Another damaged vehicle was reported with smashed windows. Nice. I'm just shocked how they had the balls to give me their business card saying: they do their best to watch our cars and make sure they monitor the sus people who are coming in. It's funny because I had to give them ideas on how they can find the suspect... CCTV CAMERA! I don't know I just feel sus about the whole thing because the police told me that this happened 20 times in two weeks IN this whole parking structure. Isn't that a given?? The security needs to step their game up! Like we don't pay to get our shits stolen. One more thing: glass shattering sounds pretty loud. Oh and I'm pretty sure cars these days have alarms that go off whenever it identifies a theft activity. I don't know man. I expected a lot from this place. THIS IS PASADENA. JFC. You might wait in line for 20 minutes without moving on any given day at any given time. This little shopping center has a foot traffic problem and now 50+ charging stations make it a serious challenge just to get in and out of the garage. No one wants to walk 1/8 mile from the chargers to the "mall" for validation, but even if you do, it up need to plan on 15 minutes or more to leave before your validation expires. Customer service is rigid, rude and insulting. The poor immigrants who do the actual work are nice, but the call button goes to a manager of sorts who will call you a liar. read more

1 star really equals ZERO stars. Paseo Parking is a raging fire in a dumpster filled with rotten trash on a hot summer's day. Everything is broken, from the entry ticket machines to the payment machines. Staff attitude ranges from sad to angry; their working environment is pathetic, so I pity the sad ones. Word to the wise: be sure and calculate your own parking fee BEFORE you get to the cashier. All of the machines are broken, so the cashiers have to manually figure the time and the fee. Much time is wasted in head-scratching and calculating by hand; sometimes they just guess on a total. City of Pasadena, do something! If you don't actually run this parking lot, you definitely influence the selection of the company that does. Paseo parking is an embarrassing disgrace, fix it. read more

Not sure why the negative reviews. It's frigging parking lot, with ample parking for the Paseo Pasadena complex. There are entrances off Green or Colorado. Note - Green is a one way street that moves west to east :). With Validation it's a max of six bucks. You can get validation at majority of the restaurants and some of the shops around. This garage doesn't run with much sense especially during events across the street. Today they blocked 2 rolls of spaces just for cleaning the pavement at 9:30 am Thursday morning when everybody comes to work. I think they do on purpose just to save spaces for an afternoon event to get more revenue charging people event parking price. I truly wish my work parking will be assigned sooner. The wrath of air blowing towards your face while ascending at the escalator worth some mentions here: it smells like hot beer, some armpits and a tat of dry sweats. This garage is weird, there are always some well dressed homeless people sleeping around the benches outside the restroom or wandering around the mall. Such a great vibe. 98% of the time that I come to the Paseo Mall, I usually park here. Even if I am not coming to this mall but am visiting other near by places, I will park here (when visiting the Pasadena City Hall, Euro Pane across the street and the 1st Asian night market last year). I think everyone probably already knows by now that Macy's provides free validation for parking in this structure that is good for up to 2 hours. The validation machine is right by the main entrance (there is more than 1 validation machine in here). However, this Macy's location is going out of business and will no longer be here. But Brookstone store also provides free validation as well (you just have to ask them and they will validate it for you no problem) that is good for up to 90 minutes. I have never had any problems at this structure since I have always left during my free validation time. But I do have to agree that some of the employees are not always friendly and helpful, but it really is a hit or miss. There are times when I struggle to put my ticket in the machine before exiting and the employee just sits in the booth and sees my struggle, yet does nothing. But there have been times when I have had an employee help take the ticket from my hand and put the ticket in for me as well. But I will probably still keep parking here (hope that whatever store pops up in Macy's place will be nice in providing 2 hour free parking too) the next time I visit the Paseo mall or a near by location. read more

I've been in a lot of parking garages and this one is pretty hard to navigate around in. It's huge and pretty complex. I drove all over on the ground level and was never able to find where the other level entrances were. Thank goodness I found a spot all the way on the end in section A1! It would be nice if they put some signs in directing drivers where to go to get to the other levels. read more

There's a ton of parking here and several entrances to this lot. The only thing is that whenever I go here I get lost but maybe it takes getting used to. The validated tickets work with the machines so far but one time I put in my ticket twice into the validating machine at DSW and that is a big no no. Bc it messed up my ticket and I had to pay for parking even with validation. I wish this parking lot was easier to navigate in but I find that most huge parking lots are confusing. read more

Staff is very rude, condescending, and will ignore you upon entry of their office. I have been working in the office building above BJ's Restaurant for over 2 years and never once has anyone in our office had a good experience with the staff. Not only are the machines outdated, as they constantly stop accepting our prepaid keycards, but they often close down exit lanes for no reason. I have been into the office at least 5 times because our keycards weren't working and excuses were made that they didn't have any new keycard replacements or that their systems were down. You are charging us for this service yet you can't provide your end of the deal?! It is quite absurd and surprising that the staff is still allowed to continue in their employment given their rude customer service. read more

Imagine the most incompetent people you could conjure up, place them in an underground ac parking Office and harass people all day through a microphone and you have this very place.
