Pasha may look a bit drab from the outside but rest assured, they're absolutely cooking in there. The chicken shawarma is exactly what was missing in my life. Everything now feels complete. Not to be dramatic but I've been searching for a solid Middle Eastern restaurant since relocating from Richmond years ago and Pasha easily fills that void. It's also a hookah lounge, which I'm not into. We went during lunch on a weekday when only a few were in use, so it didn't impact my experience at all. I will say, the bathroom was in a nightmarish state (the only reason I dropped a star).

We visited from out of town and wanted to eat something we don't typically find in our area, we decided Mediterranean. Our meal started with the hummus platter, chicken Tikka plate with rice, the lamb plate with rice, chickpea soup, and pistachio baklava. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! The grilled chicken I had, is one of the best grilled chickens I have EVER eaten. We almost licked the hummus plate, and if you are iffy on trying the chickpea soup, don't be JUST TRY IT! The food was soo delicious, it is a shame the restaurant wasn't packed. ow the ambience and decor could be better, but the food was so delicious it didn't matter much. The service was excellent with a very knowledgeable attendant. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are near by. I only have a picture of the Chicken Tikka Plate

Persian girl visiting Shenandoah Valley and desperately in need of some Middle Eastern food. Authentic food for sure! Support Kurdish owned restaurants and get yourself great food. We ordered: Lamb kebab plate 10/10 Chicken kebab plate 10/10 Chicken shawarma plate 10/10 Doogh drink 8/10 (It was good but I like it more sour personally) -Great service, friendly atmosphere, good portions that will fill you up, and decent prices.

So I have had the pleasure of eating at similar restaurants throughout the country. From New York to LA, Kalamazoo,MI to Atlanta, GA. This place is excellent, you don't want for selection here. The flavors are spot on. Definitely a place where I would go back to and bring friends and family.

The food was so tasty, huge portions, love the lamb kebab, and the baba ghanoush. They said they have been open for four months, and hopefully business picks up as there were not many people in there. The dining room was a little dirty, but we still enjoyed it. It takes about a half hour to get the food but it's worth it!

Fantastic! I am Syrian and grew up eating this type of food and I can confirm it is authentic and delicious. The hummus was beautiful and smooth, the tabbouleh was lemony and perfect, and the service was excellent. Loved it here. Definitely will be back!

We started with an order of dolma- grape leaves stuffed with seasoned rice and cooked to just the right consistency- nothing was still crunchy, nothing was yet mushy. They vanished like djinn in the dawn, before I could get a picture. With them arrived our beverages- fountain drinks of the usual sorts. (Coke products.) As an Alan Parsons fan, I ordered The Pyramid - a homemade pita mounded with lettuce, tomato, homemade guacamole, brilliantly seasoned chicken cooked to perfection and served with rice, green beans, Muenster cheese and a marvelously spiced sour cream sauce. My Bride got the Loaded Greek- an Acropolis of fries, topped with a temple to the Muse of Gyros. Caramelised onions, red peppers, gyro meat, olives and tomatoes covered with feta and tzatziki. We split both dishes, enjoyed them thoroughly, and found ourselves sadly too full for dessert. The rice pudding and baklava combo is calling me to return... The total for this repast was a mere $34.42 before tip. More than reasonable, and just one more reason I'll be back!

My husband and I close this restaurant to break my fast. We were greeted quickly by the hostess who led us to booth seating, and gave us menus. There was no need though, as we had already spotted the all-you-can-eat buffet. We requested only water to go with our meals; she quickly brought a carafe of chilled water and two glasses. This is a generous buffet with many selections for a complete meal, from soup and salad to dessert. There was a good variety of both meat and vegetarian options. Our FAVORITES included the fresh mixed chickpea salad (the chick peas, cucumbers, tomato, onion, parsley); lamb curry (which featured tender boneless and tender meat); rice pilau with raisins and carrots; borani badenjan (eggplant curry. Tip: drizzle yogurt on this);; bamia (okra) curry; firnee milk pudding (dessert); and the addictive dooth pati chai (spiced milk tea). There were also some items that we didn't enjoy as much but were still good. For instance, the chicken kofta meatballs, while nicely spiced, were very dry. And, the nan bread was disappointing. (There were also many additional good choices on the buffet that are not listed here). The ambiance in the restaurant is comfortable, with many paintings and decorations from Afghanistan. Some tables are in a side room, ideal for small groups or privacy. We noticed, but didn't visit, a downstairs shop with Afghan carpets and other goods. Plus, there's a shop on the side that sells groceries. Parking is plentiful and free. The lunch buffet was $17.99 each, plus VA sales tax (6.3%), city meals tax (5.3%), credit card service free (3.5%), and tip (variable). There are cheaper options available if you order from the menu. We would return when next in Charlottesville.

Even when they were very busy, the wait for a seat is rather short. It's mainly four-top seats but they can push together tables as needed. There's music always playing and not a lot of padding to soften noise so I'd call the location "average" loud. Downtown Charlottesville doesn't really do free parking. You can park at the next corner in open parking to the left or paid parking to the right. But we're talking $2 or so, not a bank-breaking experience and with lots of shopping across the street it's worth staking out a spot and then walking the area. What I like: The food is tasty. The appetizers are solid. There's a large enough menu that you can always try something new. And the portions are ample enough to share. What I'm not so fond of: The waitstaff spend a lot of time at the front scrolling on their phones. They aren't too keen on refilling your drinks either. I say this as someone who has eaten here about a dozen times. Also, I don't normally mind cameras, but there are enough blinking lights on cameras to make it feel more like a jewelry store than a restaurant. That said, if you are not in a hurry, want some good food in solid portions, and plan to do some shopping or window shopping downtown, this has been my go-to place for years.
